Sales workflow fits my needs perfectly

Pros

SalesDirector feels like seeing the way I naturally think laid out on a screen. My opportunities are organized in the exact order I want and I can quickly update follow-up notes, reminders and close probability without any hassle. The integrations with Salesforce, Outlook and Outreach help keep all my activity logged efficiently which saves a lot of time. The checkboxes for sales stages and the follow-up alerts make it much easier to stay on top of everything and keep my pipeline moving. I'd definitely recommend it.

Cons

At times activities don't sync over from my email when the client uses a Gmail domain.

PowerBI and D365 give visibility

Pros

The two features that have been most valuable are the D365 CRM integration with scorecards and the high-level view into customer usage especially with the PowerBI connection and integration.

Cons

Nothing to recommend right now since I am still exploring it and working it into daily workflows and activity processes.

Forecasting actually delivers real results

Pros

Forecasting has been very reliable for me and the accuracy stays in line with what I expect. I also like that rep data is written directly into SFDC and being able to view timelines at a glance is genuinely useful.

Cons

Reporting has definitely been improving but it still takes a little time to fully understand and get comfortable with.

Sync works every single time

Pros

Really easy to use, very user friendly and it syncs with SFDC incredibly fast. It just looks like a no-brainer to work with.

Cons

Honestly the user interface could look a bit more professional and visually appealing.

Gives visibility and helpful prompts

Pros

Using this platform has not been a hassle. It's functional, generally accurate and the layout makes it simple to work with. The waterfall view and related activity sections are especially useful because they clearly show what has been done, who handled it and how recently the activity happened. I also really like the sentiment faces since they make it quick to tell when follow-up or action may be needed based on recent activity.

Cons

One thing that bothers me is the font weight. I have adjusted my screen brightness and it still feels too light to read comfortably. I get that the design is meant to be softer on the eyes but the text ends up being hard to see and it gets even worse when screen sharing with someone like a manager. The font really needs to be heavier. I have also noticed that the data can be inconsistent at times. Dynamics CRM may show one number, it shows another, usually lower and PowerBI ends up showing something different as well.

AI matching gets messy

Pros

Having SalesDirector.ai automatically log my emails and meetings/events directly into Salesforce is definitely useful and saves some effort.

Cons

The AI isn't as smart as I expected. Emails and meetings often get attached to opportunities that aren't actually relevant. I have also had large groups of contacts added across every opportunity under one account, even though I had already assigned the right contacts to each one. It seems to assume that if someone is included in a meeting, they must be tied to whatever open opportunity it finds. That creates a lot of cleanup work on my end. On top of that when it assumes a meeting belongs to a certain opportunity, the AI prompts for a next step even when that doesn't make sense so I end up replying and then manually deleting that next step in Salesforce.

Rollout quick, payoff even quicker

Pros

This product was easy to set up and run and we started seeing the value from it within just a few weeks of using it.

Cons

I am very pleased with the product overall. If I could ask for one improvement, it would be more frequent Salesforce syncing instead of only once a day.

Syncs emails and meetings effectively

Pros

Most of our team relies on it to capture emails and meetings from Google and push that activity into SFDC. We barely touch their interface but the scraping and automatic logging have been really valuable for Sales Operations and for staying on top of customer engagement.

Cons

One limitation is that we cannot seem to access or adjust our own rules on the backend. Any time something needs to be reviewed or changed, we have to contact the SD team although their support is responsive and consistently high quality.

Meeting notes remind me daily

Pros

Getting a text reminder after a meeting to enter notes is really useful and helps me stay on top of follow-ups.

Cons

The way it fills data into Salesforce could be better since it doesn't always line up well with other notes.

Reports great, rollout happened fast

Pros

We were up and running within days and the deployment process was very quick. Their team has been excellent to work with. Because they're a smaller company they're highly motivated to keep customers happy and when you need the system adjusted to fit your process, everyone on their side is responsive, helpful and able to roll out suggested changes almost right away. For our sales org it solves several problems that are both everyday frustration killers and real game-changers. It pulls activity out of Outlook and into Salesforce with no extra effort from reps. There are a few minor data accuracy issues for example, if two opportunities are open with the same company, it can sometimes have trouble deciding where to log the activity but it still removes the constant headache of reps not entering things into the CRM. The analytics they provide around deal and prospect engagement keep getting better. It's a very effective coaching tool since you can quickly spot reps forecasting deals that have not had engagement in weeks and it gives us a stronger, more user friendly way to run forecast reviews. It also offers buying committee persona and contact role analysis which is valuable when coaching reps on access to power, mobilizers and blockers. The presentation mode helps reps and managers clearly map roles and engagement to the right buying personas. And the reporting is outstanding like honestly when you compare it to what Salesforce offers, Salesforce should be embarrassed. We've uncovered risks we had never even considered with just a click.

Cons

Well the only area where we've really run into any issues is the Outlook integration that automatically pushes activity from Outlook into Salesforce and even that has been minor. Honestly I am not sure any other platform handles it better than it does.

Tracks deals well, forecasts lag behind

Pros

One thing that's genuinely useful is being able to follow customer opportunities and quickly see what they've already bought.

Cons

In my type of work we also need visibility into how customers are actually using the solution and the ability to query data to build stronger use cases. That's where this tool falls short especially when it comes to forecasting software usage. There's also some lag and that becomes a real drawback when you're trying to guide people toward another purchase but don't have the right data points to support a larger investment.

Syncs Salesforce activity without trouble

Pros

Getting this set up was very easy I mean just connect Outlook and Salesforce and it automatically logs your activities back into Salesforce. It's a good alternative to Einstein Activity Capture especially because that tool doesn't create a real task record in Salesforce, while this one does. Right now I am only using the autoscribe feature but the more advanced pipeline analytics tools also look promising.

Cons

One annoyance is that it sometimes pushes junk or newsletter emails into Salesforce as real activities. For example if I have Dick's Sporting Goods in Salesforce, every coupon email they send ends up being logged as an activity. I'd really like to see a better filtering option for that.

Categorizes meetings and does it well

Pros

Categorizing my meetings with SalesDirector.ai has been really easy which I have loved using day to day.

Cons

It would be even more useful if there were a way to sort meetings by type. Right now I mostly rely on it to track down my uncategorized meetings.

Tool offers value and real insights

Pros

Right from the start it has been a simple product to use and overall I see it as a valuable tool. We have run into quite a few glitches when trying to link accounts to opportunities but aside from that it has been helpful. It can feel a little big-brother-ish at times though that is just part of the world we live in now.

Cons

Its account linking piece feels inconsistent overall and seems pretty hit or miss.

Automates email to CRM smoothly

Pros

The tool handles the daily scraping of our emails and transfers everything into the CRM automatically. I barely have to interact with it beyond that but it's definitely useful for taking care of that job.

Cons

I really don't have anything to complain about. If anything real-time syncing would be a nice addition.
