Broken links with poor accountability

Pros

The automation tools in it are pretty strong. I do like being able to organize workflows and build automations with webhooks.

Cons

I would not recommend it to any business that relies on dependable automation, clear billing or responsive support. We were given inaccurate and conflicting details about how their short links functioned particularly when it came to expiration. Once those links began failing inside active automations, we spent weeks trying to sort it out with their team through emails, calls, account access, examples and repeated troubleshooting. Even after all of that, they still could not clearly explain the root issue and we ultimately had to cover the cleanup costs ourselves. The technical problem was bad enough but the way billing was handled was even worse. While we were actively disputing the link-shortening charges and working to resolve the problem, our rep, Vignesh, stopped responding entirely. Rather than settling the dispute with us first, it used our available prepaid credit balance to cover the disputed charges. That felt neither transparent, accountable, nor acceptable.

Strong CRM texting automation capabilities

Pros

Well biggest advantage of SMS Magic is how well it brings SMS messaging into existing business systems especially CRM platforms. Rather than switching to a separate texting tool, the whole team can manage everything inside the system they already work in. The two way messaging is especially useful because customers can respond directly which makes conversations feel much more natural instead of just sending one-way alerts. Another strong point is its support for automation and workflows. Messages can be triggered automatically based on events which cuts down a lot of manual work. It works really well for customer communication particularly for reminders, updates and confirmations. Delivery has been reliable which matters a lot when messages are time-sensitive. The template feature is also valuable because it keeps communication consistent across the team. On top of that the interface is user friendly and business friendly so support and sales teams can use it without needing much technical training. Also it includes basic reporting making it possible to monitor message status and responses.

Cons

A downside is that the initial setup can feel a bit complicated especially when it comes to configuring integrations or building workflows. The pricing may also look expensive for smaller teams particularly as message volume goes up. Some of the more advanced features are not very obvious to find unless you spend time in the documentation. While the UI works fine overall certain areas could feel more modern and respond faster. Troubleshooting failed messages is not always very clear or simple either. Custom reporting is somewhat limited especially if you need deeper analytics. There can also be region-specific SMS restrictions depending on carriers. It would also help if the platform included more built-in examples for automation use cases.
