“It was a good and helpful tool

Pros

Varicent's SaaS applications come with userfriendly GUIs offering a lot of flexibility in their architecture. This allows for the custom building of a wide range of sales compensation philosophies and organizational structures.

Cons

A downside to Varicent is that their customer support can be slow in responding to high-severity issues, and at times, they may not provide helpful solutions for software-related problems. Their SaaS applications can also be somewhat opaque from a developer's perspective, as users cannot allocate or monitor computing resources, only Varicent can.

“An ever-evolving scalable SPM solution

Pros

Implementing new schemes is quite simple and straightforward. The user interface is easy to navigate and the system is extremely flexible. The reporting features improve with each update and the support team is knowledgeable and responsive. The CSMs are always available when needed, and there's an abundance of training material available through their eLearning portal. And also the growing community portal allows admins from different customers to collaborate, share best practices, and ask questions.

Cons

Some of the functionality is a bit clunky, particularly with role permissions.

The tool is constantly updated with new features. It is highly adaptable, which makes it easy to integrate into existing workflows. And the customer support is excellent.

At this time there are no major issues. Any concerns we've had in the past were quickly resolved.

Varicent consistently makes updates and improvements to their product. It is highly flexible, allowing us to build different programs. They actively seek customer feedback to drive impactful improvements and provide valuable training and resources.

Cons

While not Varicent's fault, I find it difficult to adopt some of the newer features. We lack the personnel to explore them and our business requirements often take precedence over learning new features.

Pros

Even when dealing with large and complex compensation plans, Varicent ICM offers the flexibility to simplify processes and increase efficiency.

Cons

I think more customization options for normal and video calls would be a great addition.

Pros

The system provides the ability to clearly show sellers how and why they are receiving their commission payments. The flexibility of the presenter adaptive feature allows admins to display both summary and detailed information about seller commissions.

Cons

As a table driven tool, the most challenging aspect of Varicent is understanding the sequence of each table. This is the part I dislike the most about the platform.

The system's flexibility, combined with the ability to scale, both as a system and within the design of reusable components, allows us to meet business requirements while remaining dynamic and efficient.

The plan distribution function is not ideal and could benefit from some improvements.
