“Excellent visibility”
Pros
Being able to see exactly how much I'll earn in commission makes a big difference and it helps me keep a really clear handle on what I am going to make.
Cons
Honestly I don't have any complaints. It works exactly the way I need it to and hasn't given me any problems at all.

“Flexible royalty rules”
Pros
It's been really useful for handling royalty calculations. We're able to set up multiple rules with different criteria which matters a lot since we deal with many different contract types.
Cons
One frustrating part is having to wait on the refresh cycle especially since we only get around 10 minutes to download reports before it starts over again. Another issue we ran into years ago still hasn't been resolved as we still cannot move from analytics to Credit Assignment without logging in again.

“Effective sales compensation”
Pros
This module works well for managing sales compensation plans. The UI is very user friendly and it can accommodate the full range of sales commission plans across an organization.
Cons
The thing that needs improvement is user profile editing. If someone enters details like a name or email ID manually and makes a mistake, those fields cannot currently be updated. That ends up creating duplicate users in the system.

“Useful history, limited reporting options”
Pros
Historical data is stored in the system and commission calculations work well when the plan structure is fairly simple.
Cons
There are several limitations that make the platform harder to work with. You cannot download quota credits for all months in one go unless you do it through Analytics and there's no option to unselect all when launching plans. Reporting also struggles with historical data and there isn't a way to pull one single as was historical view for people, quota, hierarchy and position as you only get either the latest version or every version. My company also depends heavily on the team for plan configuration and no FRD is provided afterward which makes ongoing maintenance difficult when issues come up. On top of that support on reported problems is not always timely and the functionality doesn't handle more complex plan setups and SPIFF designs very well.

“Better accuracy and consistent processes”
Pros
Using it has helped our team keep SOPs more consistent and improve accuracy overall.
Cons
At times the interface looks a bit complex. I am not a fan of the frame within a frame layout used in some objects and I also wish moving between objects were easier. Profiles have helped somewhat but it still isn't quite how I'd want it to work.

“Highly configurable forecasting”
Pros
The platform is very comprehensive and can be configured to handle almost anything you need.
Cons
It does require quite a bit of administration, along with training for end users to use it effectively.

“simple interface”
Pros
UI is easy to use so getting to what I need doesn't take much effort. The plan configuration is handled well and deployment with Incent has been managed really effectively.
Cons
One limitation is with the certification release letters at the title level since there's no option to select all titles or choose multiple titles at once.

“Too many steps to review records”
Pros
There is a lot you can do with the platform and I appreciate the flexibility it provides in different areas.
Cons
The record search and filtering process feels unnecessarily complex. Accessing one specific record requires going through several screens and performing multiple searches, which is a lot of work for something that should be simple. The current filters are based on incentive dates but that doesn't work well for us since our release dates can extend across multiple months. A release-date filter would be much more useful. I'd also like to be able to keep Incent and Connect open simultaneously without having to use a workaround. At the moment, we have to launch Connect from Incent and then reopen Incent in another browser tab. If Connect logs out due to inactivity, we have to start the whole process over.

“Powerful deal visibility”
Pros
Using this tool is not a hassle and it gives excellent visibility and insights into every deal.
Cons
At times updates can be a little slow although that may not necessarily be caused by it.

“Clear commission tracking”
Pros
Keeping tabs on incentives and monthly commissions is really easy and the yearly overview makes everything much easier to follow.
Cons
The comp plans can be a bit slow to load at times. Fortunately we don't need to look at them very often.

“centralized commissions with delayed analytics”
Pros
Switching to it helped us bring commission calculations and payouts into one centralized system and move away from relying on manual spreadsheets. Our team can check commissions throughout the month which helps confirm order coding is correct and that commission payments are accurate. We also really value the continued support from our Technical Account Manager and Customer Success Manager, along with their regular communication to make sure our needs are being addressed.
Cons
One downside is the amount of time it takes for Analytics to be updated after changes are made in Incent.

“Reliable forecasting tour”
Pros
Even with our complex plans after using Incent for a few years, we've been very happy with it. Accuracy matters more than anything for us so the consistency, reliability and precise results are something we really value.
Cons
I feel like the beginning of year setup process could be made a bit simpler.

“works well for us”
Pros
One thing that really works well with it is how customizable and scalable it is. There are several ways to build, update and improve dynamic commission environments which makes it adaptable as needs change. After you get familiar with the ruleset logic, updating things becomes very simple and easy. Their support team has also been very responsive and is usually able to fix issues within one business day.
Cons
Training end users can take a significant amount of time because some features are not very user friendly. The initial training for administrators also comes with a fairly steep learning curve especially since there are many elements to understand, such as the order of operations and some processes still need to be run manually.

“handle things well”
Pros
It handles very complex incentive calculations well, even when the data is coming from multiple sources. Also it is flexible enough to keep up with organizations that change quickly. The biggest advantage to me is the strong customer support included with the license. The team responds fast and works through issues quickly which is especially important when incentive payouts need to be finalized in time for payroll deadlines.
Cons
Well there is definitely a meaningful learning curve with it. It is a decent platform with its own logic, rules and processes so it takes a real investment of time to understand how to use it properly. That said as a compensation professional, I still consider that time well spent. I worked in spreadsheets for years but the field is clearly moving more and more toward full automation.

“Powerful planning tool”
Pros
The formulas and rules libraries for credits, commissions, bonuses and similar areas have been really valuable for our organization. They make it much simpler to set up new year plans and save a lot of effort during planning.
Cons
The custom data visualization in the Incentive Statement still falls short of what I expected.

“All compensation in one place”
Pros
Having one system to calculate and store all compensation, including variable comp and compensation plans is really valuable.
Cons
I feel like the response time could be better as when a support ticket needs to be opened, it can take anywhere from 24 to 72 hours to hear back.

“very poor support”
Pros
Its integration with Salesforce worked the way it should and the data moved across correctly.
Cons
Support from it was very poor overall and the software gave us very little flexibility when we needed to roll out new plans. Implementing updated annual plans would drag on for months which was extremely frustrating.
