STAY AWAY...Worst Development Company in INDIA

Pros

I like Nothing. This company never do anything well.

Cons

STAY AWAY. This company is very unprofessional. Despite claiming to be a CMMI Level 5 company, I seriously doubt that because they are probably the most poorly managed software development company I have ever dealt with. Worst of all they do not complete projects and leave you stranded. Here are my experiences with two projects I worked on with them: Low-Quality Developers and Project Managers. They have very low level developers with poor English skills. They struggle with understanding complex algorithms or even basic concepts requiring constant guidance and still managing to get things wrong multiple times. The project managers lacked attention to detail and seemed unfamiliar with U.S. standards. They often tried to manipulate me into changing sprint tasks and then removed previously agreed upon tasks to reduce their workload while still demanding payment. They constantly claimed things were working even when they were clearly broken. Their idea of what functions properly does not align with US standards in my opinion. No Real QA. They claim to charge 20% more for QA but in reality, they do not perform quality assurance properly. They expected me to handle all the QA. In most sprints, 80% of the features did not work well which leads to constant battles to get things fixed. Since it often took them several attempts to address issues, they repeatedly pushed me to accept broken functionality promising to fix it in the next sprint which never happened. Despite our contract stating that all fixes had to be addressed before moving to the next sprint they ignored this. Contractual Terms Meant Nothing. The contract I signed was very detailed yet they consistently ignored the agreed terms. They constantly tried to squeeze more money out of me. Whenever they needed to fix bugs in a sprint they refused to finish the sprint without demanding payment. If I did not pay they would hold the project hostage by stopping all work. CEO and CTO Are Unprofessional. The CEO Rupinder and CTO Ganesh are not the best business leaders. They refused to sign contract appendix, citing their legal team which made no sense. In my experience, the CEO is overly sensitive and cannot focus on work when personal issues arise. It took him two months just to schedule a call and demo with me and no development occurred during that time. Anytime a family member was sick, he would stop working. Both the CEO and CTO failed to follow our contracts terms. Terrible Communication. Ganesh RP and the project managers behaved childishly as they cut off all communication with me. They operate like a cult as they show no concern for their customers. The CEO buys his team cars as a reward securing their loyalty, so they follow his orders, including refusing to correspond with clients. Deadlines and Late Penalties Were Ignored I had very strict deadlines with penalties for delays. They never once met a deadline and refused to honor the penalties they agreed to in writing. This happened with me 3 times. They were years late and never finished the work! Lack of Talent Due to the pandemic many of their developers left for higher-paying remote jobs in other countries, leaving them with almost no developers. This caused all their projects to suffer majorly. They often shifted developers to other projects pressuring customers to pay or lose their resources. Seasia Infotech embodies everything wrong with Indian software development companies. They represent all the worst aspects of the industry. A company with a great idea will never get off the ground with them. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY!

the app has gotten better

Pros

We are happy with the quality of work and the commitment to meeting deadlines. They are also professional and knowledgeable across various fields. Their feedback and recommendations are helpful for our project.

Cons

In the beginning communication with the support team was not easy at all mostly due to time zone differences and cultural adjustments for both teams. But as the project progressed this improved a lot.

Very Responsive and Creative Team

Pros

I really like that Seasia hires many women as developers and project managers. As a woman business owner, I value their recognition of talented women in this industry.

Cons

I noticed that some app functions I considered standard in the U.S were less familiar to the team maybe because they primarily operate from another country. However they improved quickly once those features were explained.
