Covers every requirement well

Pros

Getting started with it was simple and it handles all the needs and requirements I have. On top of that, the support has been reliable whenever needed.

Cons

I haven't run into anything about the software that I dislike.

Supportive team

Pros

It has given us much better control and visibility over inventory as well as user performance. Their team has been very supportive of their WMS and LMS products and I've personally seen our operation move from somewhat inefficient to highly efficient in a pretty short amount of time. My favorite part is the metrics and KPI functionality. It's really useful for tracking performance, time spent and problem areas and it becomes especially valuable during employee review discussions.

Cons

The only area where we needed a workaround was the returns process. When defective products come back and we handle the return through WMS, our ERP recognizes the first step as the item going back into stock before a return-to-vendor is approved. Because of that, it can end up allocating the item to a back order. To avoid that issue, we process the return in the ERP first and if the product is approved to go back into stock, we then induct it through Latitude. Even with that extra step, the process is still pretty simple.

Cooperative staff

Pros

Whenever something comes up, their support team is there to help which has been a big plus for us. The system is very flexible and the integration with our ERP, SAP Business One, works well. We move dozens of pallets each month across more than 20,000 SKUs and Latitude keeps up with that volume without any problems.

Cons

Because the system is so powerful and advanced, it comes with a huge number of settings buttons, dropdowns and adjustment options. That can feel overwhelming for new users and if someone starts changing things they do not fully understand, it can create unintended issues.

Comprehensive warehouse management system

Pros

It feels like a full package, with excellent features and functions built in. It's especially useful for businesses in the warehouse space because it includes nearly everything you would expect from a warehouse management system. With that kind of complete setup, it can really help a business grow and scale significantly.

Cons

The sales dashboard could still use some improvement. Also because the software comes with so many features as a complete package, it takes a bit of practice before you become fully confident using it like an expert.

Rock-solid reliability and support

Pros

Throughout the time we've been using it, it has consistently delivered without any problems around quality or reliability. That has also held true during upgrades and updates which is more than I can say for the other products we work with. On the occasions when we needed help, the support team responded quickly and handled everything professionally.

Cons

If I had to point out one drawback, it would be that there's no suspend or cancel option for night jobs that run longer than the available non-production window.

Outstanding support

Pros

Getting temporary staff set up in the software the very same day has been no problem at all and the system is very simple to work with. Since moving to Latitude, we've consistently kept our inventory accuracy at 98% or higher. On top of that, the support team has been outstanding whenever we've needed help.

Cons

The hardware does cost quite a bit although that seems pretty common with most WMS platforms. Other than that, I really don't have any complaints about the software.

Dependable software

Pros

Once everything is set up, the metrics become a really valuable tool. The software is consistently reliable and never seems to go down and the customer service is honestly some of the best I've dealt with.

Cons

The sales dashboard still falls short of what's needed especially when it comes to filtering columns more effectively. RMAs can also only be posted once and I wish they worked more like P/Os.

Well structured database

Pros

It fits incredibly well with just about every process we run in our warehouse. The system is unbelievably flexible and the level of support it provides is truly outstanding. The database is very well structured and stays consistent throughout which makes a big difference in day-to-day use. It's also user-friendly enough to support customization, whether that's through ad hoc reporting or building out Crystal Reports. The alerting tools have been a huge advantage for helping us prevent errors in our workflows. On top of that, Pathguide gives as much guidance and assistance as needed when it comes to its more advanced features and reporting capabilities.

Cons

An area that has been weaker over time is the help menu since it hasn't always been all that useful. There are times when we end up discovering features by accident instead of being clearly pointed to them. And while the system's extreme flexibility is a major strength, it can also make certain things feel a little unclear or too open-ended. Still, those are pretty minor issues overall.

Responsive support and quick adoption

Pros

This software has been very simple, whether it's our newer warehouse associates or the more advanced users in the office. The learning curve has stayed minimal across the board. Whenever something has come up, whether it was a one-off WMS issue or a problem tied to an interface with another system, the PathGuide team has responded quickly and helped get everything back on track.

Cons

Having a table map available would be nice. It would make the Management Console much more useful by showing which data table a screen column belongs to so updates or imports could be done more quickly.

Warehouse management made simple

Pros

It covers everything we need to manage our warehouse. Compared with our ERP's wireless warehouse system, it handles the job better and costs less to put in place. The integration between the two works flawlessly as well. On top of that, Pathguide's support team has been incredibly responsive and more knowledgeable than almost any other software vendor I've dealt with.

Cons

A few parts of the system aren't very user-friendly and the support site still needs to be updated to work with modern browsers instead of relying on IE. That said, those issues are minor and easy enough to work around.

Fair pricing

Pros

Getting this product up and running was simple and day-to-day use was just as simple. It's a fully featured WMS at a fair price and covered everything we needed it to do. The system is very flexible and works with multiple ERP platforms. We were actually the first to use it with Epicor Eagle and their team handled the integration really well. Since Pathguide is a smaller company, they were much easier to work with than a larger vendor like Epicor. The software also made picking much more manageable and included all the functions we needed to keep inventory accurate.

Cons

There really were not many issues with the software itself. Most of the problems came from the way the ERP system interfaced with Latitude. From time to time, we needed process changes but then had to wait on the Epicor side to make updates before anything could move forward. Pathguide was usually able to respond much faster.

Quick inventory moves

Pros

Need-to-know details are available with just a click or two and transferring inventory from one location to another is pretty simple.

Cons

The only challenge was learning where to find the specific information we needed. That's pretty normal with any new system though and once you get the hang of it, it becomes quite simple.

Top-tier distribution platform

Pros

It has consistently been a top-tier product for us. As our company has grown and changed, the software has always kept up with what we need. It has helped us roll out technologies and processes that are common among the biggest distributors, including a paperless warehouse, customer compliance labeling and EDI and integration with smart conveyors. Pathguide has also been a strong partner, working closely with us on process development throughout the way.

Cons

We haven't run into any issues.

Responsive support and reliable performance

Pros

Most of the time, it handles exactly what it was built to do and whenever something comes up, their team is available to step in and help. The support group is solid and really seems to pay attention to customer feedback.

Cons

I'm not involved enough in the day-to-day use to give a strong opinion on the downsides so it's hard to speak to that in detail. At one point though, it did seem like when we ran into an issue and wanted it addressed, the company was willing to build a fix for an added cost and then that fix later became a standard feature in the next generation of the software.

Ability to communicate with the crew

Pros

Everything moves quickly and most of the system is simple to navigate. Being able to communicate with the crew on the floor is a big plus. I've only worked with our internal employee support so I can't really comment on Pathguide's own support team.

Cons

I can't use it as an RF on my screen. Even though it's fairly simple to move through, going back and forth can get tedious since it doesn't return to the previous screen.

Better inventory control with Pathguide

Pros

It has really helped our company tighten up inventory control and manage operations more effectively. It has also made a noticeable difference in the speed of our receiving department and we're excited to roll it out to shipping as well by moving to individual standards so that area can align with the rest of the company.

Cons

when new options are added for other customers, they end up appearing on everyone's screens. Even if we never use those features, they still stay there and add unnecessary clutter.

All shipment data in one place

Pros

Having all that shipment data in one place makes researching loads much easier. I can quickly pull tracking numbers, see exactly what was included on each master load and give customers accurate answers. It's also really useful that I can add customer notes in the WMS and have them carry over to the BOL for the carrier. The route and stop functionality works really well for organizing orders and being able to change the sort lane anytime helps us adapt to whatever we need on the dock. With a quick look, I can tell how much freight is staged and which orders are completed and ready to go out. Overall, the WMS makes my work much simpler. It also keeps all hazardous material details for each item and automatically includes that information on the BOL and the IMO Declaration for shipments going to Hawaii and Alaska.

Cons

Not being able to edit the Master BOL bothers me. Printing an IMO Declaration for a Child BOL also takes longer than I would prefer so I wish that process were faster. Other than that, there really isn't much about the WMS that I dislike.

Customized according to our needs

Pros

Using this software has been very simple which is what I appreciate most about it. It has been tailored to fit our preferences and that makes it useful for all associates to access functions on the RF gun with very little trouble.

Cons

One issue we deal with is a few breakdowns in how Eagle/Epicor and Latitude connect with each other. It ends up creating some extra, unnecessary work although everything does get resolved in the end.

Transformed our operations

Pros

After a long and fairly complex implementation with plenty of customization to match the way we work, it has really changed our operations for the better. We're running more efficiently now than we ever have. One thing we appreciate most is how adaptable Pathguide has been when issues come up and how willing they are to adjust the product around our specific requirements.

Cons

Lately, the biggest frustration has been the limited expertise at the front-line support level which seems to be tied to several important team members recently leaving the company. I'm hoping that as time passes, their knowledge and experience on that side will get back to where it used to be.
