“Avid for All!
Pros
Uploading or sending invoices to AVID takes less than 24 hours. The invoicing history is always available, going back more than a year, which is quite helpful. The header and distribution lines are easy to work with. The coding process is painless as the codes pull from our chart of accounts. Saving and approving invoices is a simple task.
Cons
The invoice feed does not separate invoices per property. They are all mixed together and cannot be organized on our end. This makes it difficult when coding based on one chart of accounts and then having to switch to another for the next invoice from a different property. Additionally, changing the header dollar amount line does not reflect in the line item which requires an extra step to adjust the amount in multiple places, adding time to coding.

“Efficient and easy to use process
Pros
The overall system is extremely user friendly and easy to navigate. I also like its integration with MRI which helps us reduce paper usage. Additionally, searching for old invoices is also not a hassle.
Cons
The wait times for customer service can vary depending on whether you call or use the online function.

“Easy to use platform for AP
Pros
Avid makes coding and approving invoices is hassle free task now and the search feature for finding invoices is user friendly and provides quick access to historical information.
Cons
I have not faced any trouble with Avid. I have used it at multiple companies I have worked for, and whenever I find out they use Avid for AP, I am pleased because I know it will be easy to use.

“Easy to use but wish I had more access
Pros
The platform is easy to navigate and searching for what I need is a troublesome process. Entering AP is hassle free.
Cons
Well I am not a fan of having to email AP to be entered. I would prefer to be able to upload it myself and have it readily available. Alternatively, having the option to upload AP directly to Avid when its urgent would be helpful. I also do not have as much access in Avid compared to other AP platforms which can be frustrating when I need to make changes to an invoice. For example, if the amount was entered incorrectly, I have to comment and wait for someone to change it instead of being able to change it myself immediately.

“Ease of Avid use
Pros
Being able to set up workflows for other departments to handle their invoices and attach receipts when necessary is very helpful. Having project codes already input for accruing invoices saves time.
Cons
When entering a new supplier, we first need to enter it into another tool, Blackbaud, to create a user, and then recreate it again in Avid. It would be helpful to have a partnership between the two platforms.

Pros
The softwares ease of use and self-explanatory nature are what I love about it. They have made sure the experience is smooth, even for newbies. Maneuvering through the software is also not a hassle.
Cons
Currently, I dont have any cons for Avid. It has been very user-friendly.

The system automatically assigns buildings to users and I am unable to add onto the building code without contacting an administrator to be added to the workflow.

I like how user friendly it is even for individuals without an accounting background or those who do not frequently use accounting functions. The softwares ease of use is top-notch.
Cons
