Accounting Time Saver!
Pros

Avid makes it very easy for me to pay invoices. I can download them to a queue and input all the necessary information. Reviewing the invoice and clicking submit is all it takes. This saves me a significant amount of time per invoice.

Cons

I have a dislike for the capture system. If an invoice is flagged as a duplicate incorrectly, there is no easy way to proceed with processing it.

A great program to have!
Pros

The ease of use is what I loved about Avid. The learning curve is minimal, and the invoicing process is efficient from start to finish. It gets the job done, and I would highly recommend this program to anyone in need of invoice processing software.

Cons

Sometimes, searching for the status of an invoice can be challenging. In my experience, searching by name alone has not always been sufficient when I lack further information. I would suggest adding a shortcut for invoice searches.

I have been using Avid for bill pay services and invoice processing for many years. I also like the fact that they do not frequently change the website which would require constant retraining with every update. Its a dependable and reliable solution for my profession.

Much Needed Platform!
Pros

What I like most about AvidXchange is its user-friendliness and the significant burden it lifts off our accounting department. Navigating through the site and using its features is fairly simple. The Avid Utilities feature is a must-have as it helps avoid late fees on utility bills.

Cons

At the moment, I do not have any cons to mention. I believe in continuous improvement and finding new ways to enhance the products value. So far, I think AvidXchange is doing a good job. One suggestion I have is to provide more training support and communicate more broadly to users especially during technical issues.

The platform is easy to work with, and locating invoices is a simple task.

Cons

I have experienced technical errors where the system was down the entire morning, preventing invoice processing. It takes more than 24 to 48 hours for them to respond to my requests. Invoices in processing get stuck in the queue until the next day. When I called customer service, they were unhelpful and rude.

Pros

With AvidXchange, vendors no longer need to provide paper copies of invoices. They can send their invoices directly through the dashboard and we can easily approve them. This convenience makes payment processing a simple and hassle free task for our company.

Cons

I do not really have any complaints about AvidXchange. However, I think there could be improvements to the Dashboard, even though its not a complaint.

My experience with customer support has been poor. Invoices scanned to Avid are often sent to "research" without any valid reason, most likely due to laziness.

Avid for All!
Pros

Uploading or sending invoices to AVID takes less than 24 hours. The invoicing history is always available, going back more than a year, which is quite helpful. The header and distribution lines are easy to work with. The coding process is painless as the codes pull from our chart of accounts. Saving and approving invoices is a simple task.

Cons

The invoice feed does not separate invoices per property. They are all mixed together and cannot be organized on our end. This makes it difficult when coding based on one chart of accounts and then having to switch to another for the next invoice from a different property. Additionally, changing the header dollar amount line does not reflect in the line item which requires an extra step to adjust the amount in multiple places, adding time to coding.

Avid makes coding and approving invoices is hassle free task now and the search feature for finding invoices is user friendly and provides quick access to historical information.

Easy to use but wish I had more access

The platform is easy to navigate and searching for what I need is a troublesome process. Entering AP is hassle free.

Cons

Well I am not a fan of having to email AP to be entered. I would prefer to be able to upload it myself and have it readily available. Alternatively, having the option to upload AP directly to Avid when its urgent would be helpful. I also do not have as much access in Avid compared to other AP platforms which can be frustrating when I need to make changes to an invoice. For example, if the amount was entered incorrectly, I have to comment and wait for someone to change it instead of being able to change it myself immediately.

Pros

Being able to set up workflows for other departments to handle their invoices and attach receipts when necessary is very helpful. Having project codes already input for accruing invoices saves time.

Cons

When entering a new supplier, we first need to enter it into another tool, Blackbaud, to create a user, and then recreate it again in Avid. It would be helpful to have a partnership between the two platforms.

The onboarding process has had the most significant impact on me. They meet with me weekly to address and explain any issues that arise, ensuring I have a good understanding of the operations. Their patience with those who are less tech-savvy is fantastic. Although the software interface may appear busy, everything is labeled logically, and exploring the system is easy without causing any problems.

Cons

It was challenging for us that there was no way to link "class" from QuickBooks to AX. As a semi-governmental organization, we need to track expenditures in a very detailed manner, and this posed difficulties.

Cons

AvidPay a no brainer
Pros

AvidPay allowed us to eliminate our check cutting process, provided convenient payment options for vendors and reduced security risks in our payment process which results in net savings.

Cons

Every month, I retrieve a report from the Avid platform to verify that payments made have been received by our vendors. The report takes a while to load, perhaps around 15 seconds. The transaction description in the bank statement looks slightly different, but all the necessary information is present for reconciling statements.

AvidXchange - Like having an extra employee
Pros

Although I was hesitant in the start about making the move, transitioning to AvidXchange was effortless. It has significantly reduced my workload. Invoices are scanned into AVID, they enter most of the invoice details and I verify, perform account coding and post invoices for processing. AVID has cut my AP processing time by 30 to 50%. It is very user friendly and a huge time saver. I absolutely love it!

Cons

My only concern with this program is the limited reporting capabilities. However, I believe this is within the control of our organizations Administrator/CFO and their preferences for setup.
