Fantastic Team

Pros

I believe Beyond offers extensive capabilities and is an overall intuitive system. The entire team was fantastic to work with from implementation to customizations and support. We have a unique workflow and are in a different industry than they usually deal with, but the team consistently provided excellent support and innovative solutions to our numerous requests and issues. Having the customer success team here for our implementation week ensured a smooth transition. Everyone at Dakcs has been wonderful to work with.

Cons

One of the challenges we encountered was optimizing some processes, like our internal letter system, due to our unique business line and workflow. Tracking employee productivity through the project queues has been a bit difficult, but as we are new to the system, we believe there might be a solution we haven't discovered yet.

So far above and BEYOND the Sting

Pros

Finally, there's a version of DAKCS that operates outside of a terminal window. The Visual Report Writer is particularly impressive, even aiding in understanding some SQL syntax.

Cons

When we used Beyond, parts of the Sting still appeared as a terminal window within a Windows application. This seemed somewhat clunky but understandable.

Dakcs Software Systems

Pros

I've been using Dakcs products for 14 years and the Beyond system for around 9 or 10 years. The product functions well, but their outstanding customer service sets them apart.

Cons

The vague error IDs on the IT side have always been frustrating. We often don't know how to resolve issues since we're only given an error code.

Pros

Beyond offers versatility and innovation it's highly customizable if you have some tech or coding knowledge or are willing to learn.

Cons

Troubleshooting requires extensive knowledge of the system. There are many small details that, if handled incorrectly, can cause issues, and you need to know which fields affect what.

Pros

My favorite aspect of this software is its versatility. We have used Beyond for medical, retail, bad check collections, and litigation follow-up on accounts placed with an outside attorney.

Support and custom departments are fantastic.

Pros

It's relatively easy to use and can be customized to our needs. We rarely experience issues or downtime.

Cons

The core software has limitations I wish could be altered. For instance, the last name field, along with most name and address fields, doesn't have enough characters, causing letters to be sent with incorrect or truncated information. The OC screen needs additional fields to meet our requirements. It would be beneficial to have more Coll Acct Extra fields, as sharing them can sometimes be confusing for our accounting.

Overall, good software program. Not perfect, but nothing is!

Pros

I like how easy it is to use (especially the Beyond product, which is FAR superior to Sting) and its seamless integration with PDC4U.

Cons

It's not designed for ATTORNEYS and doesn't integrate with MS Word or WordPerfect for legal documents. It also doesn't handle Comakers well (letters, judgments, etc.). Additionally, a better Client A/R system is needed to make unpaid invoices easier to identify.

We have been with DAKCS software since 1987 and have used Beyond for as long as it has been around.

Pros

Our top three favorites are the ease of training new hires, the data vault, and triggered actions. These features make the collection process run more smoothly and boost our bottom line.

Cons

Updates can sometimes introduce new issues that didn't exist before. However, the DAKCS support team is always prompt in providing a fix.

Pros

I've been working with DAKCS Software Systems for the past 23 years and have really enjoyed the relationship we've developed. Given the challenges we face in the collection industry, partnering with a company willing to work hand in hand is crucial. DAKCS has always been there to help navigate this rocky road.

Great Company, Solid Product

Pros

Excellent service and stability. The team at DAKCS provides outstanding customer support. We've had virtually no downtime since using their software for over 10 years. They are friendly and very responsive. The software is solid and offers great value for the price. While no software is perfect and there are areas for improvement, I highly recommend DAKCS.

Cons

The software could be more intuitive and easier to navigate. They could improve systems training and documentation, but this seems to be a common issue in the rapidly evolving tech world. Some features are somewhat cumbersome, but they are still usable.
