Ideal for compliance audits

Pros

I have used iAuditor to set up several electronic inspections that I now rely on for my GMP facility audits, the glass audit and the SQF system audit processes.

Cons

While it appears simple to create your own audit templates, I discovered that getting comfortable with them and actually carrying out audits takes a fair amount of time. even so, I still find it highly beneficial to convert paper-based audits into iAuditor's digital format.

Form setup could be simpler

Pros

It walks us through our residential construction projects and it really simplifies marking up issues. I can quickly flag defects and then export clean PDF reports to send straight to our contractors.

Cons

Setting up audit forms took a few tries to get right. So I think the configuration screens could be made simpler and more user friendly.

Limited formatting, export issues

Pros

Using iAuditor makes doing field inspections so much simpler because I don't have to deal with paper reports. From my tablet or phone I can snap photos, place each image right into the relevant section of the checklist and save individual inspections as separate reports. Once I am back at the office, I import that file into a Word template and then generate a PDF for sharing or archiving.

Cons

The ability to edit and style the text within each report and for individual entry lines would be good because currently the formatting options are limited. Also, the export function has been unreliable at times and doesn't always produce correct outputs which can be frustrating when I need a clean, consistent export for distribution.

Smooth field inspections

Pros

While I am out on a job site, iAuditor has become my go-to tool for logging any issues I notice during a walkthrough. It lets me work from a ready-made checklist of inspection items and snap photos of problems as I find them. Once I am back at the office I can export the inspection to PDF or Word and then spend time refining and polishing the report.

Cons

I find the review editing menu a little complex, so it takes a while to feel comfortable using it. Also whenever I export into a pre-built template I inevitably have to tidy up the formatting afterwards which adds extra manual work before the report is truly presentable.

Professional, flexible inspections

Pros

I have been able to create outstanding quality inspection lists and checks in very little time. The features and functionality helped me come across as highly professional when I showed the finished inspection sheet to my line manager. I also appreciate the branding options as they give the final reports a polished, personalised feel. It runs smoothly on both tablet and phone which makes it incredibly handy and low-profile out in the field. I like that it can be kept simple or built into something much more complex according to my needs.

Cons

My experience with the geolocating feature is that it can be off sometimes and rather annoying but overall it functions pretty well most of the time.

Great value for small EHS teams

Pros

As soon as I figured out the best way to use this software, I realized I essentially have a world-class tool for next to nothing. Being an experienced EHS engineer, it only took me about 30 minutes to have my first report up and running. The value for price is phenomenal and for small EHS teams I genuinely think it's one of the best options out there. I have moved on from the big names like Intellex and Ecointense because this gives you more functionality for less money and the support has been the best I have ever seen.

Cons

Right now the desktop/base application is only available in English and that has made it harder for me to roll the tool out at our main sites when users aren't native English speakers or when we want to scale internationally. Also, the layout choices for report covers are a bit limited and could use improvement, although those are relatively minor issues compared to everything else.

Template library saves time

Pros

I rely on a large shared customer library of audit templates that cuts setup time for auditing forms. The system records download counts so I can weed out templates that don't meet expectations. Their customer support is outstanding and open to suggestions and requests. They maintain a good continuous improvement process.

Cons

The app changed how I can mark up pictures. Text on photos is now a fixed size and I cannot move it around like before.

Easy reporting for team

Pros

It is good for both administrators and tradespeople to use. Also it lets us send our reports out fast. It even encourages staff to record detailed notes onsite. My team are quick to reply to any query.

Cons

Nothing negative really springs to mind. I would really like to see a deeper, more complete integration with my job management program but other than that it's absolutely perfect for exactly what we use it for.

Smooth on PC and Android

Pros

For me, getting it installed on my PC was really not a problem and the team genuinely appreciates how it performs on their phones especially on Android devices.

Cons

Honestly I cannot come up with any real complaints. Although users mention that the iPhone interface doesn't feel quite as polished or responsive as the Android version.

Confusing form creation, limited formatting

Pros

I like that I can build custom forms for all sorts of on-site inspections and I am able to export them straight to PDF or Word as reasonably formatted reports. I also appreciate that it supports many question types, like text fields, check boxes, radio buttons, drop-down menus and so on.

Cons

That said I find the form creation process confusing, the backend feels complex and the formatting choices are quite limited.

Easy drag-and-drop form building

Pros

Overall I am really pleased with how easy it is to create forms as I can drag and drop prebuilt questions and input types, then quickly reorder sections and add or remove questions as needed.

Cons

For me, the limitation is that scenario-driven outcomes seem to apply only at the section level rather than at a higher, global level. I would expect a scenario result to determine which subsequent sections are presented, although this might reflect my own form design knowledge instead of a true functional limitation.

Flexible templates with offline use

Pros

When I build templates, they're highly flexible and tailored to my needs. Being able to run inspections offline is genuinely an excellent perk.

Cons

Maybe I simply need more time to get comfortable with the reporting features and I'd like to see more granular reporting options available.

Needs in-app branding for exports

Pros

There is a lot but I really like being able to build custom forms with lots of field options such as single-line and multi-line text, radio buttons, checkboxes, photo uploads and more. Plus I can export everything straight to .doc or .pdf.

Cons

Personally, it would help me if I could add my branding inside the app before exporting, since that would cut down on manual formatting steps and avoid repeating the same tweaks after export.

User-friendly report creation

Pros

iAuditor is a user friendly report-creation tool as I can build, check out and share audit reports, field reports, daily logs and similar documents without a steep learning curve.

Cons

What annoys me is the Microsoft Word export as when I send reports to Word the output formatting isn't great and it fails to handle page breaks the way I'd expect which means I end up doing manual fixes.

Effortless tracking, reduces paper, mobile app

Pros

I am really impressed with how effortlessly it handles tracking and how it helps cut down on paper use. I also appreciate that there's a mobile app for both Android and iOS devices.

Cons

Building tailored audit forms for my specific industry has been somewhat time-consuming and since I am currently using the free tier I suspect that more efficient templates and time-saving form options are likely reserved for paying subscribers.

Detailed, well-designed inspections

Pros

The level of detail really impressed me. iauditor nails the essentials because it clearly was created by people who understand the workflow. From attaching photos to automatically capturing GPS locations, every feature feels thoughtfully designed and it's obvious a lot of care went into building this software to support real-world inspection needs.

Cons

To be honest I don't have any complaints about it as it gives me everything I require during the day to stay organized and focused. The tools and reminders keep my tasks on track so I can get through my workload without missing anything.
