“solid invoicing and expense tracking”
Pros
The best part for me is that everything tied to invoicing and expenses is monitored really well. I can keep track of the details without feeling lost and it helps me stay on top of the financial side of things.
Cons
An issue I've run into is that paying a subcontractor directly through InBuild takes far too long, that part of the process feels slower than it should and can be frustrating when I need payments to move faster.

“Knowledgeable team and custom reports”
Pros
One thing that stands out to me is how knowledgeable the whole team has been. They've been able to create custom reports for us which has made the move from our previous system feel relatively smooth. That level of support has made a big difference.
Cons
Honestly I haven't come across anything about inBuild that I dislike.

“Huge time-saver for invoicing”
Pros
A huge time-saver for me is how simple it is to upload invoices, send them through for approval and get them coded without a lot of hassle. After approvals are finished, I can push everything into QuickBooks and create our customer invoices without much effort which saves me a lot of time. I also like that Inbuild keeps our invoices neatly organized by billing period so I can go back and find past invoices by draw or by vendor for each project whenever I need to.
Cons
The main area that has been difficult for me is the contract and change order tracking. From my experience it feels pretty manual because I have to make sure everything for the contracts gets scanned in correctly which I understand is part of the process. Still, I wish there were a more convenient way to add change orders into the contract tracking section without having to rescan and re-upload them there. That said I do know the team has continued updating the platform and trying to improve it. This is something I need to revisit on my end to see whether the newer structure works better for what we need. Inbuild has been proactive about helping me and showing me recent updates that may be better suited for our workflow so at this stage it is really more about me finding the time to review those changes properly. Another issue I have run into is with denied invoices because they sometimes seem to disappear from view. I have wondered whether there is a feature that could remind me about a denied invoice since in our case a denial usually does not mean it is permanently rejected. Most of the time, it just means the work was disputed or still needed to be completed. We had one large invoice that was denied and later when the work was done, staff tried to upload it again for approval but the system marked it as a duplicate so they did not proceed. It probably could have been avoided if someone had checked whether the invoice had already been approved and billed but I still wish there were some kind of backup safeguard so this does not happen again. Unfortunately, the vendor did not mention it until months later when the job was already complete and we ended up submitting it late which was far from ideal.

“everything stays organized”
Pros
What I really love is how it lets me stay on top of every invoice by showing what has been paid, broken down by project and even by draw. I can also keep a close eye on the budget so I always know exactly where things stand for each cost code. From my experience everything feels well organized, clearly tracked and properly accounted for which makes managing the financial side much less stressful.
Cons
I have noticed a few small glitches here and there but in all fairness, the team is always quick to respond and fix the issue as soon as it comes up.

“fantastic for AP documentation”
Pros
From my experience inBuild has been a fantastic tool for keeping our accounts payable files organized and properly documented. I've found it really helpful when managing records because everything feels more structured and easier to track in one place.
Cons
Rarely but I've noticed duplicate invoice entries slipping through when the AI system doesn't catch them which can create some confusion and extra cleanup work.

“invoice processing that really delivers”
Pros
The simplest part of my workflow now is invoice processing. While the AI needed a bit of time at first to learn and correctly recognize a few of our vendors, I've noticed that it now gets most of them right consistently. From my experience that improvement has made the workflow feel much more reliable overall.
Cons
One issue I've definitely found frustrating is the QuickBooks sync. During the syncing process, I keep seeing the AI create brand-new accounts even when we've already processed the invoice under the correct existing account. That part has caused unnecessary confusion for me and still needs to be fixed.

“Organized invoicing and responsive support”
Pros
what stands out most is how organized the platform feels especially with the option to filter invoices so I only see the ones relevant to me. I've also had a really positive experience with the customer support team. Anytime I've had a question or run into a glitch, they've responded quickly and helped resolve it without much back and forth. Another feature I truly appreciate is being able to set up ePay for our subcontractors since it removes an extra step from the payment process and makes things more efficient for me.
Cons
The only issue I still notice once in a while is that the AI does not always catch duplicate bills. That said I realize some of that can come down to bills being labeled incorrectly on our end so it is not always entirely the system's fault. Outside of that occasional problem, I really do not have much to complain about.

“Phenomenal support and real time savings”
Pros
For our owner applications what stands out most for me is how much of a difference this software has made especially when it comes to invoices and keeping project expenses organized. I've honestly saved days at month end because I'm no longer stuck in the usual chaos of sorting through multiple projects just to get owner invoices prepared. From my experience the platform has had a major impact on how efficiently I handle that whole process. Another thing I really appreciate is the support team. Whenever I've needed help, I've gotten quick responses and they've been very willing to work with me to resolve whatever issue comes up. It also feels like the product is always evolving in a good way, with regular development happening and improvements being made that make the software feel almost magical to use at times. On top of that, the DocuSign integration has been a huge benefit for me and has saved even more time in my workflow.
Cons
At times I've noticed the AI can pull in random images from emails, like company logos and there are moments when it doesn't fill in the invoice details accurately. That part can definitely be a bit frustrating and occasionally creates extra hassle for me. Still, in most cases, I'd say the AI performs well overall and usually does a pretty solid job.

“the platform we build around”
Pros
Out of all the software we rely on, I'd say inBuild is the one we're most committed to. It's the core platform for us and we've basically built the rest of our tool stack around inBuild because that's how central it has become in our workflow.
Cons
The main challenge I've run into has been the DocuSign integration. We've hit quite a few unexpected issues along the way although to be fair, those problems haven't really been caused by inBuild itself.

“responsive team and efficient workflow”
Pros
From the start I could tell the team put in real effort to help us get the application up and running quickly. I also felt well supported because their customer service was attentive and genuinely seemed focused on making us happy as a customer. On top of that I've found the workflow to be efficient, easy and practical for day-to-day use.
Cons
At first I ran into some challenges getting the AI features and the QuickBooks integration fully up to speed. I also had a hard time generating Pay Apps that matched our previous format and maintained the continuity we needed. While those issues were frustrating in the beginning, they were definitely part of our experience.

“Constantly improving with smart integrations”
Pros
Their commitment to improving the software all the time is what stands out to me. I've noticed they keep adding useful updates and one recent example is the DocuSign integration with Inbuild which shows me they're actively working to make the platform better every day.
Cons

“faster invoicing with quickbooks”
Pros
The biggest benefit of Inbuild for our team is how much it has managed our invoicing workflow, from receiving invoices all the way through to accounts payable in QuickBooks. I've found that it saves me a lot of time especially when I need to process hundreds of invoices each month for subcontractors and suppliers.
Cons
From my experience there are still a few interface issues and small kinks that need to be ironed out.
