“The best ERP on the market
Pros
I like the interface of JD Edwards. Compared to SAP, navigating with E1is far easier. This has been very useful to me and to my team. We solved a lot of problems using this software. Generating reports is easy too.
Cons
The wild card in Search allows the user to search for any entry that matches. However, when a user uses the wildcard and did not add any more characters, the system hangs up because it will generate all entries. I wish there is a way for the user to cancel when they accidentally do it.

“Hands down, the best!
Pros
This software has most of the basic needs of an ERP system suited to a standard-issue manufacturing facility. One can get used to its relatively old-world menu layout.
Cons
This software is far less advanced than an obvious competitor; viz. SAP. I have used SAP in my previous job position and if I had to choose one over the other, SAP would be the clear winner. JD Edwards requires too much development work (issue development) to include even the most basic error-proofing features to ensure data integrity & accuracy.

“Easy to use
Pros
The user-friendly interface of JDE is easy to navigate and understand. It offers a wide range of utilities, all accessible from a single location.
Cons
The system logs you out too quickly after periods of inactivity and occasionally freezes. Apart from these issues, I have no complaints.

“Great for most departments
Pros
It proves to be effective and user-friendly for most departments. The system's ease of use and simple navigation have saved us time in multiple ways, resulting in overall benefits.
Cons
The system is not ideally suited for HR purposes, as it was not originally built for that. However, we are considering expanding our KRONOS package to integrate it with JDE for HR-related tasks.

“Footprint
Pros
One thing I find quite useful is that JDE timestamps every action and records the name of the person responsible for that action.
Cons
Setting up the searcher can be a bit confusing, and certain fields do not allow searching.

“Excellent program, love the customization capabilities
Pros
Oracle JD software is phenomenal for handling detailed construction projects. We can customize reporting to analyze and populate various data points for individual jobs or all jobs collectively. The options are multiple and it can be integrated with other software, such as TAP accounting, to enhance productivity. It truly is a game changer.
Cons
Making changes to the program involved a detailed process that demanded extensive testing.

“Does its job but is hard to use
Pros
JDE consolidates everything in one place, making it quick and easy to submit time-off requests.
Cons
Finding what I need is really hard, and the overall page layout feels cluttered. There are multiple options that perform similar functions, which adds to the confusion.

“Highly recommended
Pros
This ERP is best for medium-sized organizations. This is practical and the engineering of ERP is so a lot of adaptable on the grounds that you can utilize numerous kinds of Operating Systems for your Servers, for example, Windows, Linux, AIX, UNIX, Solaris, UX and can utilize numerous sort of databases for example DB/2, SQL, Oracle and so forth as per your decision.
Cons
Could use more automation in their modules and support of advanced databases like Cassandra etc.

“Best ERP I worked with
Pros
Developing and implementing with JDE is a hassle free task. It's fast, secure and simple. With nearly five years of experience, I am impressed by how effectively JDE manages business processes.
Cons
The development interface is extremely outdated. I believe there is room for improvement in creating something better. It's frustrating that it took until a few years ago to incorporate keyword highlighting. Working with Event Rules strains the eyesight.

“Oracle is a great system for robust companies
Pros
I love the functionality and layered approach that Oracle provides, particularly for companies with multiple revenue sources.
Cons
If you have never used Oracle software, training is necessary. Many employees who were new to Oracle had to dedicate a lot of time to learn the basics.

“Oracle: Documents Retention
Pros
The ability to access documents within an international and outsourced organization is what I like most about Oracle JD Edwards. For instance, as a user within a US-based company, I can securely share documents with contracted individuals outside the company. They can easily link to Oracle JD Edwards resources using their own assigned User ID and Password, thanks to this add-on to JD Edwards ERP.
Cons
What I dislike the most about Oracle JD Edwards is its inability to reject illegible or blank document scans.

“Good service but complicated to use
Pros
Real-time data insights help us manage and polish it in MS Excel right away. The software is highly configurable and customizable. It can be as simple and easy as you want or as complicated as it is. It can meet your companys needs.
Cons
Requires constant back up from a well trained and dedicated expert. Too overpriced. Extensive training required to learn the systems operations. It can seem too complicated at times.

“JDE, customizable but NOT user friendly at all
Pros
JDE offers remarkable customization and configuration options. Real-time information can be downloaded and further managed and refined in MS Excel. It can be as simple or as complex as desired, perfectly tailored to meet our company's needs. However, it does require ongoing support from a well trained and dedicated expert.
Cons
The software is quite expensive and requires a lot of training and knowledge to use it properly. New users often feel overwhelmed by the interface. Also I believe that some options on the screens could be simplified and merged to avoid duplication, but this would necessitate consistent support from a well-trained and dedicated expert.

“ERP done simple
Pros
Despite the release of newer versions within Oracle's ERP portfolio, I firmly believe that JD Edwards remains the best ERP solution. It excels in simplicity, reliability and versatility, catering to clients of all sizes.
Cons
Installing an ERP system always carries significant risks which results in high implementation costs. Additionally, the infrastructure for the on-premise version can become expensive.

“JD Edwards EnterpriseOne - Works fine but with some limited options
Pros
What I truly like is the intuitive and logical design of the user interface. The menus are simple and understandable which makes it manageable to almost anyone, including non-accountants using it for financial purposes. The system is highly flexible, allowing for extensive configuration to maximize its benefits. Moreover, the software itself is remarkably stable and reliable, providing peace of mind. I've noticed constant development and the inclusion of new tools and technologies. While I rarely encounter major issues, there are occasional minor limitations, as mentioned in my title.
Cons
I find the Oracle Support tool to be somewhat unskilled, and the upgrades process is often not smooth. As I mentioned in my title, the options for selecting payment terms are severely limited. For example, if a company's payment terms are "30 days month-end + 2 days," the system becomes unable to handle it properly. You are left with the choice of either setting up "30 days month-end" payment terms and having invoices falsely marked as overdue or setting up "45 days," which exceeds the intended count. Additionally, the application web client occasionally fails to identify Chrome or Internet Explorer. The maintenance cost is quite high considering its features.

“Easy to use when you learn to use it
Pros
The thing I like the most is the excellent organization feature of this system. Every tab and section is specifically focused on orders, inventory and related aspects.
Cons
I'm not fond of the fact that you need to invest a significant amount of time in the system to truly understand the functions of all its tabs and buttons. However, once you manage to get it working, it performs really well.
