“Add models, deliver quickly”
Pros
It is pretty easy to add new models which lets me deliver things quickly.
Cons
For me the platform needs more ready-to-use artefacts such as additional pre-built form templates.

“Flexible and allows fast changes”
Pros
What I really like about Jedox is its flexibility and how fast I can roll out changes.
Cons
On the downside I have noticed performance slows down in cubes that have a lot of rules.

“allows financial planning”
Pros
Recently I tried Jedox and was really impressed by how powerful and easy to use it is. Also it is a great tool for financial planning, budgeting and forecasting. What stands out is how flexible it is as it can be adapted to fit different industries and business needs. The customization options are excellent too and I was able to tailor workflows, dashboards and reports to our specific requirements. Setup was also simple, the interface is user friendly too and the documentation made it easy for everyone, even those without a tech background to get started. It also connects well with Excel and cloud services making the transition smooth. So I'd definitely recommend it to any company looking to improve their planning.
Cons
The Academy interface definitely needs a visual and usability refresh to feel more modern and user-friendly.

“Live accounting is good”
Pros
I use live accounting data to create forecasts and plan for the future like predicting profits, spotting when we might need more funding and timing our currency hedging. Also it is easy to compare actual results with forecasts. I even like that it works with Excel for reporting. We have been lucky to have Barry Gibbs helping us as he sets everything up simply and smoothly. Overall it is very flexible and easy to use.
Cons
I find the way reports expand from the summary view into detailed lines awkward and clumsy. It would be much more convenient if I could pick a setting to display all details at once instead of having to click each heading individually to reveal them.

“Adapt reports, more analysis time”
Pros
We've appreciated how easy it is to build and adapt reports and forecasts to match our exact requirements. We've phased out a pile of inconsistent reporting databooks and given both ELT and SLT the ability to proactively review and manage their P&Ls and forecasts. Because of that, our team now has extra time to analyse and explore various issues with the Ops managers.
Cons
I have noticed that showing detailed reports through a browser can be clunky especially when streaming them across different sites. It might be something on our side because we tend to expect a single report to handle everything but the user experience isn't very smooth in those scenarios.

“Flexible but examples are too basic”
Pros
I have found this software to be flexible and easy to adapt for my specific needs.
Cons
In my experience the program cannot be user friendly at times and I often cannot find the answers I need in the support documentation or the Jedox knowledge base because they only include very basic examples.

“All data available in one place”
Pros
Having reporting and budgeting data in one place makes my life easier and keeps everything organized for quick access.
Cons
Sometimes the performance isn't great because we run complex reports that pull from multiple data cubes which slows things down for our team.

“works the best for us”
Pros
Jedox is built on a cube-based structure which is common for this type of software so I was able to understand how it works pretty quickly. The layout is clear too as the web interface is split into sections like Modeler, Designer and Integrator which makes it easy to find what I need. The Integrator is also very powerful as it connects to other systems to import and export data and can automate tasks like reading or updating cubes. It also has a scheduler for recurring jobs. I can even create custom calculations for things like variances and KPIs using the Rules feature. The Splashing feature is also very useful as I can quickly change values by typing things like +10% or -1000 into cells which helps me build different scenarios in seconds. Even the Excel Add-in is handy too as it lets me create and view reports in Excel and it's easy to set up. Finally, the Marketplace has prebuilt models like some free ones helped me get started and others can be added or bought as needed.
Cons
From my experience with setup, there are a few things to keep in mind early on. You'll need to invest time in training for admins and report creators as it is not completely plug and play. I had to go through training and certifications from Jedox or their partners to get people up to speed. On the plus side, it has many free videos that made learning much easier and helped in-person training go smoother. I have also noticed some parts of the interface could be more user-friendly. The Rules editor has improved but still is not very user friendly and the Reports editor while it looks like Excel does not have all the features that full Excel does.

“Handles large data well”
Pros
Jedox is very user-friendly as it makes budgeting, financial analysis and reporting simple and easy. What stands out is how well it handles large amounts of data while still being flexible. I can also connect it directly to SQL databases or upload Excel files without any trouble. Plus their customer support is quick and helpful, always offering practical advice. Overall it has been a reliable tool for data analysis and reporting, with great support behind it.
Cons
The biggest downside I have noticed is that it relies heavily on a consistent internet connection for optimal performance which can be a limitation.

“platform grows with us”
Pros
What I like most is how smooth and fast the rollout was. We were able to start with the basics and add features over time as we got more comfortable. At first, we used it mainly for reporting across our companies, customizing the layout to fit our needs. Later, we automated number consolidation with a group module which gave us consistent reporting. The interface is also easy to use as our team really likes it. The built-in dashboards and reports make the data clear and simple which has been a big help for our budgeting. We soon added the budgeting module which made planning and reporting much cleaner. Overall the platform grows with us and adapts to our changing needs which is incredibly valuable.
Cons
One thing I wish were better is how changes are tracked in the tool since it's not as user friendly as it could be making it harder to see what was adjusted and when. Creating custom reports and dashboards needs a decent amount of training to get right.

“Data is standardized, integrator confusing”
Pros
I no longer have to produce countless data exports in a bunch of inconsistent formats since everything is standardized now.
Cons
When I look at the integrator, I cannot really follow what's going on and if someone asked me to change anything I'd run into trouble.

“offers the best support”
Pros
Jedox is easy to use and their customer support is reliable. Plus it offers a rich feature set and I use it frequently.
Cons
For me switching from Excel-based workflows to Jedox was somewhat painful because it's newer technology compared with the tools I was used to but ultimately it felt like a major and worthwhile upgrade.

“saves us time”
Pros
It rapidly replicate a structure across other objects, such as products, channels or branches which saves a lot of time.
Cons
I find it could be more flexible when it comes to setting up exceptions since adding them is awkward and limited. Moreover, I often struggle to follow how some calculations are derived because there's no built-in formula available to inspect.

“Connects wide platforms”
Pros
What I appreciate most is Jedox's ability to connect with such a wide range of platforms. Even though the Excel and Google Sheets integration might sound basic, many competing tools don't offer it at all. And for those that do as like Vena as the depth of Excel/GSheets support feels noticeably more limited than what I get with Jedox.
Cons
From my experience this aspect has a flip side. On the downside, finding third-party partners can be tougher compared with hiring a Workday Adaptive Insights oracle, SAP or Anaplan specialist. On the upside, partner services tend to be cheaper and more hands-on which I suspect comes from Jedox having a smaller, more selective partner ecosystem.

“Budgets and accounting together”
Pros
The thing I find most valuable about Jedox is how it brings our budgeting information together with accounting data.
Cons
I find the most frustrating thing about Jedox is that when an error happens, we cannot correct it ourselves and that becomes a real bottleneck. On top of that, whenever we roll into a new year or re-budget, functions that worked fine in the prior year or period sometimes stop working again.

“editing rules are too complicated”
Pros
To me the cube structure, the responsive customer support is the best. Also I can copy and paste data from another period.
Cons
Let me tell you that I run into a lot of bugs. The Rules editor uses a language that's hard to work with so I'd much rather write SQL or DAX instead of struggling with the current setup. Another big issue is that I cannot add more than two dynamic ranges in one report which makes calculations much harder. Sometimes I cannot move dimensions between rows and columns unless I use the right-click menu as it just won't work otherwise. When a dynamic range has a hyperlink, the report forces me to recalc the whole sheet constantly which is annoying. The Action buttons Set value range does not update when I change the sheet like adding new columns so changes are not picked up automatically. The rule editor is too complicated. Also it is hard to tell which rule is affecting my data and finding that out takes too many steps. The report editor is not user-friendly even creating a basic report is tricky. All of this slows me down and adds manual work, turning simple reporting into a frustrating process. The interface often feels counterintuitive. Small things like not being able to drag dimensions or auto-update value ranges force me to use awkward workarounds. Honestly if editing worked more like a normal PivotTable with simple filters and clearer rules, I'd use it much more and stop having to rebuild sheets or recalculate all the time.

“Pull, transform, send data easily”
Pros
It makes it easy to pull, transform and send data to different systems. I also rarely need to write code though I can add scripts if needed and the support team is excellent.
Cons
I'd love if they provided a dedicated video channel with training tutorials because that would help new users a lot. Also when using the Integrator any action -> data source, please widen that input field so it's easier to view and edit longer entries.

Pros
I have noticed great flexibility when building views and the platform is very agile for developing reports and registration screens. Using cubes gives me the tool powerful possibilities for making projections.
Cons
