In terms of business accounting, KidKare Accounting provides great set of features. Also I really like how it simplifies business invoicing with features like invoice creation, online invoicing and billing. It also includes workflow management to improve the overall experience which is great.

Pros

The most valuable tools in KidKare are the invoice system and expense tracking. Customizable invoices give our home child care a professional appearance with parents. Plus invoices are emailed directly to parents which ensures timely receipt of tuition. When it i time to prepare tax forms, all necessary information is readily available. Parents can also log into their accounts to view and print invoices which demonstrates our organization and professionalism.

Cons

I was disappointed that the system did not have a proper check-in and check-out system for tracking the children.

“Easy and Inexpensive

Pros

KidKare Accounting features like expense tracking, invoicing and report generation are very useful. I particularly like the option to copy meals from one week to another which is handy for alternating menus.

Cons

Since I started using the software it has been beneficial for my business. I currently do not have any complaints.

The software is easy to install and use which makes it pretty simple for us (users) to generate reports for attendance, feeding, billing and more. It also includes all the essential tools we need for daily operations.

There are not many things to mention but I wish there was an option to sort by date or alphabetical order.

KidKare software is very simple and user friendly. The pricing is reasonable and it works well for us without requiring frequent login credentials. It is near to perfect and saves time!

This software can only rearrange lists by alphabetical order, date of birt, or creation date. Also it could be more user friendly. Plus it often has technical issues and can be slow to load. A few times it caused errors that delayed payments.

It is very user friendly and simple to navigate which makes it accessible for anyone. Also it helps us manage tasks without a hassle while saving time.

Cons

The only downside I experienced was occasional failures with the automatic payment feature particularly early on.

KidKare software accounting features are very useful, beneficial and easy to understand.

Accessing customer support has been difficult and responses often take a day or two.

“Unattractive race issues with child care app

Pros

The support for child care providers is great though it would have been even better if they addressed the issues with race/ethnicity categorization.

I found the accounting for my clients to be inaccurate. For example the race selection required me to input incorrect information if I did not choose an option that fit the childs actual race. I had to falsely categorize a Hispanic child as white. I tried to report this issue several times but received no response.

“Good program but needs invoice change

Pros

KidKare Accounting software is easy to use and reliable. It stores all the enrolled childrens information and has nice reporting features.

Cons

My main issue is with invoicing. I do not need to send invoices to parents so I did prefer an option just to record payments. Also i find it frustrating to create invoices only to record payments. The recurring invoices feature is useful if you receive the same amount from a parent each month but that is not my situation.

I really like how it tracks my expenses and generates reports including birthday lists!

Cons

I would really love it if it have a section for notes to update information on the children such as injuries, developmental benchmarks or NSF checks.

It is quite flexible and easy to use. I was searching for options for childcare business needs and found this one. It seems to fit my needs well. Also it is not at all complex, basic and user friendly which allows me to focus on the important things.

Cons

Do not expect immediate answers if you need help as you will need to be patient. Also the app can be buggy at times so its important to have the same patience when using software like you have while dealing with the children.

KidKare Accounting software provides accounting capabilities and helps me save a lot of time and money. I am really happy with KidKare.

Cons

KidKare software does not offer in person training but it does provide an accounting portal. Aside from these points I am satisfied with everything else.

The payment process is streamlined so I do not have to worry about writing or running out of checks anymore. The interface is also user friendly and I like that it works well on mobile devices.

There is a $1 fee per invoice on the site. While its a small cost it can be a lot within no time.

KidKare Accounting software is an all in one solution for all record keeping needs which is great for a business. Also its focus is on childcare which is a real plus.

It seems to have a lot of glitches and it is difficult to get training or assistance with problems or to fully understand the products features.

This tool helps streamline the childcare process pretty excellently. As a parent it makes the daycare look much more professional and reliable.

Some features of the system are a bit unfamiliar but they are relatively easy to learn for someone who is accustomed to using new technology.

I love that it eliminates my daily paperwork for check-ins, check-outs and feeding calendars. Its really simple to input everything in one place.

Cons

KidKare software is often slow and freezes frequently. Additionally there are many dropdown menus with similar titles which took me about three months to navigate and discover all the available options.

I really like the simplicity of the platform and how well it manages record-keeping.

The high fees for using debit or credit cards make it necessary to link your bank account instead.

Pros

KidKare Accounting software is constantly improving to make record keeping easier for users. It requires minimal training which saves a lot of time and effort when onboarding new staff. The accounting features have significantly improved our management.

After using the software for the past year and a half thankfully I have not come across any major issues. I have had a few questions but the customer care team has addressed them promptly.

“Do Not Waste Your Money

I find this accounting software useful for tracking my expenses. But I have issues with the payment system and customer service.

I have been using the e-pay system for four weeks but it has only worked twice. My invoices go out on Friday and my deposits hit the bank by Thursday which seems like a long wait to me. I did be okay with this if I were actually getting paid. My parents are set up for auto-pay and I cover the transaction fees. Unfortunately, this is the second time the KidKare/Epay system has had a "problem," causing the auto payments to fail and leaving me unpaid. With a holiday this week, I likely wont get paid until next Monday which is unacceptable. I plan to switch back to Brightwheel as they were never late had a quicker turnaround and I never had payment issues with them. I was told these problems are rare but I am not convinced. They make it sound easy to resolve by having parents send checks or use auto-pay, but that is time consuming for everyone involved.
