Great Contactless payment solution for large sums

Pros

The best parts of Plooto include contactless payments to vendors anytime, approval control, a user-friendly interface, and competitive pricing!

Cons

Shortening the processing time for EFT payments (currently three business days) would be beneficial. Integration with Jonas Premier would also be a valuable addition.

Best range of options from existing software providers

Pros

Connecting to QBO allows easy reconciliations and automated payment setups, which is incredibly helpful. Setting up recurring payments and deposits is quick and easy.

Cons

A report including cheque numbers would greatly aid payment tracking. Additionally, allowing users to select from existing vendors when names don't match exactly would improve usability.

Overall a good option to manage Payables and Receivables

Pros

Plooto is user-friendly and convenient. Syncing with QuickBooks makes everything even easier.

Cons

There are some reporting functions and external user experience improvements that could be made.

Useful for smaller businesses wanting to pay vendors

Pros

I really like the ability to pay my vendors without having to worry about the daily limits imposed on e-transfers. This feature provides me with greater flexibility and peace of mind, knowing that I can make necessary payments without any restrictions or delays. It simplifies my financial transactions and ensures that my vendors are paid promptly and efficiently.

Cons

It's frustrating that it takes several days for money to reach my vendors. I also dislike that I can only pay my monthly subscription via direct withdrawal from my bank account, without the option of using a credit card. It feels like they're trying to avoid credit card processing fees, which seems penny-pinching.

Money on Hold

Pros

They never attempted to address my issues when I called.

Cons

Plooto has been holding onto over $16K from a transaction that should have been refunded over a month ago, and I haven't received any response from them via email or phone.

Great Software

Pros

Plooto connects with QuickBooks, which is crucial. It's also incredibly simple to navigate, and the implementation process was swift.

Cons

I attempted to make a payment in a different currency which I was initially told went through, but days later, I discovered it hadn't. Despite contacting Plooto support for a refund, they sent the money back in the same currency, causing potential losses due to currency conversion.

Plooto automates AP disbursement function.

Pros

Plooto efficiently automates my accounts payable disbursement function, streamlining the entire process from start to finish. This automation significantly reduces manual effort and ensures that payments are processed accurately and promptly.

Cons

I really wish the system could retrieve AP credit notes from QBO. Currently, I have to manually reconcile CNs to an invoice, which can be confusing for vendors once they receive the payment.

issues with cheques issued by Plooto and tracking and updating the status of cheque deposit

Pros

It's a fantastic method for receiving approvals and making payments.

Cons

My experience with Plooto has been frustrating with cheque issues. Some cheques were deposited and cashed but still show as undeposited in Plooto. Others were lost without any means to track them. When I reached out to Plooto's support, they couldn't assist in tracking the cheques, which was very disappointing. Also, finding information on completed transactions is difficult; having more specific search functions for reporting purposes, especially ones that integrate with Excel, would be incredibly helpful.

Great tool to help you save time with your payables and receivables

Pros

Plooto gives me the flexibility to set different levels of approval for payments. It's really straightforward to get paid with, and providers appreciate seeing where the payment is in the various stages of processing. Plooto also allows me to bypass the limit my bank imposes on me (like x k$ max per day).

Cons

One limitation of Plooto is that I can't directly pay my provincial taxes with them, only federal taxes in Canada.

Value for your money

Pros

I appreciate the low cost associated with Plooto. As a private preschool, we handle many transactions per month, so fees are important to us. Using Plooto is simple and gives us peace of mind that we are not spending a fortune.

Cons

At this point, I haven't explored all of Plooto's features enough to identify any cons.

Plooto Review from BLAC

Pros

The ability to track payments and create reports is a bonus for me.

Cons

There are some features in Plooto that are not as intuitive as I'd prefer, but with video and article support, I can usually figure them out eventually.

Great overall payment processing tool

Pros

Plooto is very easy and intuitive for me to use. The integration with Xero and recurring PAD setups are great time-saving features. In my experience, the customer support is top-notch. My concerns are addressed the same day. The value provided by Plooto is unparalleled in my experience.

Cons

Notifications from Plooto fill up my inbox quickly due to their security measures, which, while understandable, can be overwhelming for an accounting firm dealing with multiple client accounts. It would be beneficial if Plooto could allow selective deactivation of notifications for some users to save time.

Plooto is an excellent product

Pros

Plooto integrates well with QB Online. It's simple to use, convenient, efficient, and a great time saver.

Cons

The lack of payroll integration in Plooto significantly slows down the payment and reconciliation process. Adding this feature to QB Online would streamline operations.

Plooto is easy to use!

Pros

I like how easy it is to set up clients and send payments, especially for international payables and receivables. My company appreciates how I can enter all the accounts payable, and they can simply approve the payment, saving them a considerable amount of time and work.

Cons

Payments through Plooto take longer than average EFT or wire transfers, sometimes up to a week for funds to completely transfer.

Payables processing

Pros

The ease of use, without any training, is fantastic. I can look up past payments easily, and I love being able to process CRA payments through the portal.

Cons

The processing time for payments varies, typically between 3-5 days, though sometimes it can be 4-5 days or 3-4 days. This fluctuation makes it challenging to plan for payroll processing, where timing is crucial.

Security Problem

Pros

I have nothing to comment on in this respect.

Cons

Plooto requiring my bank password raised serious security concerns for me. I prefer not to compromise my security by providing access to my password, especially since e-transfers don't require this.

It's easy and quick to use, but it's missing a key integration that would make it perfect.

Pros

Plooto integrates with QBO and makes syncing receivables and payables simple. It reconciles payments, saving me a lot of time. Customers and suppliers receive an email about upcoming payments, along with a link to this information and past transactions.

Cons

I've been using Plooto with one client for about a year now and would like to onboard more clients onto this system. However, Plooto doesn't support QBO's projects and sub-customer system, making it difficult to collect receivables accurately for clients with multiple projects or sub-accounts. If Plooto could recognize customer names before the ":" to facilitate collection under various accounts, it would greatly enhance its utility for me.

Plooto review

Pros

Plooto synchronizes with QBO, pulling in all unpaid bills. Paying suppliers is done simply by ticking the unpaid items, particularly if I have set up the supplier in Plooto with their banking information. If not available, an e-transfer can be made, or Plooto will solicit this detail from the supplier for me. Collecting outstanding receivables in QBO also works very nicely, although some clients are suspicious of the solicitation. USD payments and rapid payments are also available if Plooto is prefunded; otherwise, a fee is applied.

Cons

The payment interface between Plooto and QBO wasn't well thought out. Initiating a payment marks it as paid in QBO immediately, even before it's approved by the designated approver. This causes discrepancies in balance sheets and payables listings in QBO, leading to potential errors like double payments when bills are manually reset as unpaid.
