“cheaper than quickbooks, easy link”
Pros
After switching from QuickBooks which felt a bit expensive I found this much cheaper alternative that's really easy to use. I managed to link my bank accounts and credit cards without much hassle.
Cons
I don't like that I cannot force a bank sync so there are times when I just have to wait for transactions to appear. It also annoys me that mobile receipt scanning is a paid add-on. On top of that, I couldn't get my Square account to sync, I can still handle all my bookkeeping without it but I'll need to manually include my Square fees afterward.

“Love the detailed reports”
Pros
What I truly adore about Wave Accounting is how incredibly accurate and thoroughly detailed its trial balance and balance sheets are.
Cons
To be honest, there's absolutely nothing I dislike about Wave Accounting, as a matter of fact, I truly believe it's the best accounting portal available.

“Easy accounting with automation”
Pros
I have relied on Wave Accounting for more than five years now and I really appreciate how it simplifies accounting tasks by using automations to remove tedious manual work entirely.
Cons
What bothers me is that Wave Accounting cannot support large global enterprise needs by itself so I have to connect external apps to get enterprise-level functionality.

“Great for simple accounting”
Pros
Wave is really handy. My bookkeeping needs are pretty easy and I don't hire someone to manage books so Wave matches what I need and helps make tax season a lot less of a headache than it used to be.
Cons
Recently Wave has been experiencing frequent outages which gets really annoying. I primarily use it for tracking expenses, maintaining ledgers and everyday accounting so I don't log in as regularly as someone who sends invoices or handles billing. From what I have heard, many bookkeepers prefer QuickBooks for client files so I worry that bringing in outside accountants could create compatibility problems.

“not overcomplicated”
Pros
It gives me a easy, user-friendly online accounting system that matches our scale. After I moved away from a well-known accounting tool that was overcomplicated and costly for what we needed, I am really pleased with this choice.
Cons
A few capabilities I rely on which I think should be simple to add, still need an awkward workaround to use, however, the in-app support widget walked me step by step through the process.

“iOS app builds and sends”
Pros
I found it really easy to get up and running especially with the iOS mobile app, it lets me build invoices and send them straight to customers email addresses.
Cons
Although Wave Accounting includes an iOS mobile app, I still find it lacks a number of full accounting capabilities I need.

“smooth payables and receivables”
Pros
Since I began using Wave Accounting, I have found it incredibly smooth to handle accounts payable and accounts receivable, I no longer need to rely on manual steps to complete these routine accounting tasks.
Cons
The only downside I have found so far is that it doesn't offer global enterprise-level accounting tools.

“Easy invoicing, frustrating banking”
Pros
I really like the invoicing tools, they're simple and user-friendly to use
Cons
In my experience the bank transaction screen is frustrating, accounts keep disconnecting a lot and sometimes when I refresh it the system duplicates my transactions

“Clean reports and easy accounting”
Pros
I find the reports highly customizable, tidy and simple to read which makes them perfect to bring to my accountant or tax preparer.
Cons
My experience with their receipt-upload app is that it's unreliable and feels pretty low-tech. In addition, entering receipts and expenses directly on the Wave website could be much more streamlined, it takes too many clicks and steps for me to get an expense logged.

“Love how accessible it is”
Pros
I am able to use it from anywhere and it connects with a wide range of local banks across the world.
Cons
Honestly I don't have any complaints about this service, in fact, I have suggested it to numerous acquaintances and fellow business associates and several of them told me this is by far the best option they've used.

“Great invoicing and easy setup”
Pros
I really like the recurring invoicing, it makes billing painless. Setting up and using the invoice and quotation features was easy and I can create users, invoices, quotes, items and clients in real time. Once an invoice, quote or client exists, editing is simple if I need to change anything. I can also reassign invoices or quotes to different clients and send multiple emails at once.
Cons
I wish it included a credit management feature, it also doesn't support South African card processors and I cannot customise invoice or quote templates.

“Love the free accounting tools”
Pros
I am really happy with Wave's free plans for invoicing and accounting, they give me everything I need without any extra cost.
Cons
What frustrates me is that I couldn't locate more advanced tools, such as account reconciliation, perhaps it's my lack of experience and I still need to figure out how to use them properly.

“Simple invoicing and payments”
Pros
What I appreciate is how simple it is for me to generate an invoice for a client and shoot it to them via email and Wave even tells me when they've opened the invoice. I can also accept payments through credit cards or bank transfers ACH.
Cons
Their support frustrates me because it often takes several days to get a problem properly sorted out which can hold up my work. Also, their online payment fees feel higher and are structured differently than most competitors fees.

“Reliable tool for my business”
Pros
Wave Accounting provides a polished, professional view of our finances. I find the interface very easy and it slipped into our existing workflow without any hassle. What I really appreciate is that it also makes tracking overdue invoices and following up on payments simple and reliable.
Cons

“Great free accounting starter”
Pros
Getting started was a breeze even with minimal accounting knowledge or prior experience, I was able to use the free version to track all my expenses and income, link a bank account or upload bank statements, reconcile accounts, tailor and send invoices and pull financial reports. The dashboard gives me a clear, easy-to-read snapshot of profit and loss, money coming in and going out and several other useful summaries.
Cons
I did notice some limitations. Wave only includes three invoice templates for customization and the financial reports aren't editable. For example, an expense that I'd expect to appear under COGS shows up in operating expenses and I cannot move it to the right place. Still, I appreciate that these capabilities are offered at no cost.

“Super easy for reporting”
Pros
This software is incredibly easy to use and I genuinely like that it lets me handle financial reporting confidently using its tools, I especially rely on the expense reports. The payment processing feature is okay and gets the job done, even if it isn't perfect.
Cons
When I open the mobile app, it's often unresponsive, I end up closing and reopening it multiple times and every so often the app slows down to the point where using it becomes frustrating.

“Easy and great to recommend”
Pros
In my experience I find it really simple to use and I would happily recommend it to many people.
Cons
Whenever I try to pull up an older invoice or a past entry and it's not the exact item I am after, the app sends me all the way back to the first page instead of returning me to where I was last viewing.
