I have noticed the free tier includes a ton of useful features. Preparing invoices is easy and painless. There's even a mobile app so I can easily send invoices while I am out and about.

Cons

Personally, I'd like more flexibility when customizing invoice and quote templates because the current choices feel limited and I want greater creative control over how my documents look.

The service provides more streamlined solutions especially for fast, urgent tasks and generating professional visual invoices plus tracking income and expenses makes monitoring finances much simpler and easier. I think it's a great option for growing e-commerce.

Cons

Because it's web-based, I have noticed occasional issues tied to my internet connection speed. That said when those slowdowns happen they're caused by my local network rather than the system itself so the platform isn't at fault.

Occasionally, I notice the customer support can be a bit slow to respond. I also struggled to compile reports because it doesn't provide statistics broken down by month and there's no option for me to customize the reports to suit my needs. Other than those drawbacks, it worked flawlessly for me.

Overall I am quite happy with the features I have tried in Waveapp so far.

One of my clients prefers receiving invoices and paying via PayPal and I still haven't figured out how to connect that payment method directly inside Wave so I end up producing the invoice in both systems as a manual workaround.

Using Wave Accounting, I have found client invoicing incredibly simple thanks to a clean interface. The app lets me send unlimited, tailored invoices to my clients and also lets me manage expenses all within a single application.

There isn't a lot I dislike about Wave Accounting but the issue I run into is that it can occasionally become sluggish on Android phones which ends up slowing down some of my tasks.

When I first started using this software it was free and available for users in New Zealand. Over time they stopped accepting international signups and shifted their attention toward the US and Canadian markets. Because I was an early adopter though, I managed to keep using it for many years throughout my freelance work. The way it handled expense tracking was excellent and ended up preventing me from needing to hire an accountant since it handled most of the bookkeeping tasks on my behalf.

Cons

I don't really see this as a fault of Wave Accounting so much as an observation about my experience. A bit of accounting knowledge was necessary for me to ensure I met my tax responsibilities properly. Beyond that, I wanted additional third-party integrations and couldn't find the ones I needed within Wave's ecosystem.

their customer and technical support have been disappointing and have caused me a lot of problems. I also cannot integrate Wave with third-party apps and that restriction is a major drawback for my workflow.

it's basically been a disaster, the two main headaches are the flaky bank connections and the total lack of real customer support. The bank links don't sync reliably so transactions won't update properly for accounting or payroll. Then there's support. there isn't any human help, just a chatbot that sends you around in circles and no email or phone number to reach a person.

To start with, the basic functionality is FREE aside from some optional add-on services they've recently started charging for. It's easy to create invoices and bill clients. I managed to plug it into my startup's workflows and it boosted how professional we looked. I appreciated the mobile convenience because I could handle my business finances on my phone, chase overdue invoices, reconcile payments, keep an eye on the cash flow and personalize all messages with my brand's colors and logo.

Cons

It disappointed me that many functions are restricted to US users and I couldn't find the mobile app in my region's app store. People outside United States may face limitations particularly when linking bank accounts or credit cards and they might be unable to use the mobile app.

My go-to feature has to be the invoicing tool. After I enter my business details, logo and so on it stays set up and ready whenever I need it. Plus I appreciate being able to duplicate invoices because it saves me time.

Cons

I do not have any negatives to report about Wave Accounting which is why I have been using it for over 4 years now.

Setting up the software was effortless, the invoicing tools are incredibly powerful and overall Wave serves as a really capable system for small businesses. If you're still manually putting invoices together in Google Docs, do yourself a favor and jump onto Wave, I personally signed up and haven't looked back. I could teach someone to navigate this platform without much trouble so bringing new hires up to speed with my preferred invoicing app would be extremely easy.

Cons

I find that the transition from my most-used feature invoicing to the other parts of the software isn't particularly strong but honestly that's just a very minor complaint.
