Easily connects to all bank accounts, credit cards, or lines of credit within a single account. Supports multiple businesses, automates income and expense categorization, calculates GST on eligible purchases and sales accurately in reports.

Cons

Unless you opt for their paid subscription services, which many businesses don't need, you won't get any support via email, Messenger, or phone. You're left to rely on their knowledge base or online videos. If your issue isn't covered there, you're on your own to figure it out.

Payables and receivables often don't balance due to rounding issues with percentages. For example, a bill paid in full can still result in discrepancies at month-end. I have to adjust for rounding every month. They should round or truncate the stored amounts to resolve this.

Previously, when estimates were converted to invoices, they remained visible in the estimates section. This no longer seems to be an issue, eliminating the need to go back and delete them.

The mobile app is fantastic to use very intuitive and comprehensive. It's highly customizable with logos and business details, and the invoices appear polished, neat, and professional. This app has become indispensable for my business.

The biggest frustration, which has been widely shared in small business forums, is the recent removal of Swype keyboard, speech-to-text, and predictive text capabilities from the app. This change has made it cumbersome to fill out item descriptions quickly. While I still give the app a positive review, unless this issue is resolved soon, I may need to switch to a different app next year. Many of us are hopeful that the development team will restore these functions to their original capabilities.

As a freelance consultant or small business owner, I have found Wave to be an excellent free tool for bookkeeping and invoicing. It's user-friendly and simple to use for tracking expenses and sending invoices and it handles all of that at no cost to me.

I have noticed it's restricted to North America now, whereas it used to be available globally which makes expanding into new markets tricky. Also, there are only a few online payment gateways supported which limits payment flexibility.

more flexible customization would make finding invoices far simpler and I'd love an in-app option for creating quotes too. Right now I only rely on the app for sending invoices rather than managing expenses because receipt-scanning functionality isn't yet offered in the UK which limits how I use it day to day.
