We didn't pay anything for Wave so we could monitor our expenses, generate reports and keep an eye on how the business performed throughout at least our first year of operations.

I found that it couldn't provide several reporting capabilities we needed so we migrated over to QuickBooks Online since I felt it offered a considerably more powerful set of tools.

For our two subsidiaries we were after a budget-friendly solution and Wave covered what we needed. It's an affordable accounting option that won't drain funds and invoicing plus payment handling works reliably.

I wish the receipt delivery options were more flexible for example, being able to send receipts directly through WhatsApp would make life much easier for clients who prefer that messaging app. Adding that capability would be a very practical improvement to the current receipt-sending workflow.

After switching from QuickBooks which felt a bit expensive I found this much cheaper alternative that's really easy to use. I managed to link my bank accounts and credit cards without much hassle.

I don't like that I cannot force a bank sync so there are times when I just have to wait for transactions to appear. It also annoys me that mobile receipt scanning is a paid add-on. On top of that, I couldn't get my Square account to sync, I can still handle all my bookkeeping without it but I'll need to manually include my Square fees afterward.

What I truly adore about Wave Accounting is how incredibly accurate and thoroughly detailed its trial balance and balance sheets are.
