“great for sending payments”
Pros
Using Wave Accounting has made my work much easier, I appreciate being able to send invoices, accept payments and the unlimited sending option really improves things, plus their online payment system is excellent.
Cons
I find Wave Accounting quite confusing for new users especially when it comes to managing recurring invoices and payments.

“provide real-time financial visibility”
Pros
What I appreciate most about it is the real-time financial reporting since it delivers current, precise visibility into a company's financial health, enabling me to make informed choices and track essential performance metrics.
Cons
I find that Wave Accounting lacks the more advanced tools to establish direct connections with other systems so I have to import data manually instead of using an API-driven integration.

“allows paperwork-free invoicing”
Pros
Using Wave Accounting, invoicing is simple and paperwork-free which makes running billing so much smoother, I really appreciate being able to handle my accounting effortlessly.
Cons
I wasn't very excited about using it before the upgrade but since the latest update I have noticed clear improvements and it's become more engaging to use.

“free and tracks invoice views”
Pros
For starters, it's free which I cannot complain about. It's tough to beat having no-cost accounting software especially one this handy. I was able to link it directly to my bank account assuming my bank supports it. Creating invoices is really simple and it even tracks views so I know when customers have seen them.
Cons
I don't really have major complaints. Support is pretty much lacking but then again I am not paying for the service and the documentation is reasonably helpful. It could use more customization options though for plain accounting I don't expect it to be flashy or overdesigned.

“Serious security concerns”
Pros
When I signed up, it seemed promising and met my expectations at the time.
Cons
I ended up having two personal accounts and three business accounts hacked and Wave was the sole link between them. I repeatedly tried to reach their support but received no help.

“Great for invoice scheduling”
Pros
My favorite feature is the ability to schedule invoices and set payment reminders, it really helps me stay organized and keeps clients on track with due payments.
Cons
I would like to see a way to clone customer profiles for cases where I handle more than one family member or an option to group relatives into a single family account so I don't have to enter the same information multiple times.

“So easy and worth it”
Pros
One thing I really like is how user-friendly it is and how easy it is to keep all my business accounting organized under a single roof. I found it simpler to use than QuickBooks and didn't have a bunch of unnecessary features crowding my view while learning. I appreciate only entering a product or service once and that clients can pay by credit card, debit or electronic check Plus I can also record payments that come in through other channels. The updated checkout options are excellent and I genuinely enjoy that estimates can be converted to quotes with a single click. It's affordable which feels like multiple wins. It's easy to use for my own needs and I often suggest it to my clients as something to consider, always highly recommended too.
Cons
I don't like that estimates fail to save if my system crashes or I have to reboot. It's tedious when I am working with a client across multiple projects and I wish I could revert an invoice to a quote or copy it as an estimate to save time but it's not a huge issue or big problem.

“Exactly what i needed”
Pros
After I converted my business from a sole proprietorship into an LLC, I was looking for a solution to manage payroll for myself and to ensure my tax obligations were being submitted accurately and on schedule. Wave provided all of those capabilities and I am a lot more confident now that my tax payments will be taken care of properly.
Cons
In my experience there's a noticeable learning curve when setting everything up, payroll and taxes in particular but after I worked through it, the system ran smoothly for me.

“Great invoicing for small teams”
Pros
I find Wave's invoice creation and management tools really easy to use and clearly designed for freelancers and small business owners. I can quickly check the status of my invoices, track incoming payments and send reminders when a payment becomes overdue.
Cons
For my part, I find that Wave's accounting capabilities aren't sufficient when I need more advanced accounting functionality.

“Great invoicing without monthly fees”
Pros
I moved away from QuickBooks after they began imposing a monthly subscription, what I appreciate most is that I can create and send invoices to my clients online.
Cons
Honestly I'd like the ability to import my customer list from QuickBooks into this system.

“Free, simple and great to use”
Pros
We began using Wave for our small business because it was free and very user-friendly. Getting our product and service catalog set up and adding client records was easy which makes creating and sending invoices quick and painless. I also find the financial reporting simple to use, there are plenty of filters so I can generate statements and reports tailored to whatever criteria I choose. On top of that, I am able to send monthly bills or statements directly to customers.
Cons
I have found the online payment options frustrating because Wave only supports three gateways, PayPal, Stripe and Square. Being a South African business, none of these are helpful or, in many cases, even available to us so my customers cannot pay invoices automatically when they receive them. That forces us into a clunky manual EFT workaround. To make matters worse, support and the official use of Wave Accounting in South Africa has been discontinued.

“Easy and powerful accounting tool”
Pros
Wave Accounting really works well for me, I appreciate its detailed reporting, unlimited expense tracking, invoicing and receipt generation through the app, it's incredibly easy to use.
Cons
My only real gripe with the app is that support is billed separately which ends up making it costly any time I need to speak with someone.
