User-friendly but updates feel difficult

Pros

the interface is user friendly and easy to explore on my own.

Cons

When I try to make a change, I often have to navigate across multiple tabs to make sure it's updated everywhere which feels difficult. So the way different sections are linked could definitely be improved.

great interfaces and offers mobile access

Pros

As someone using a cloud-based HR and finance platform, I appreciate how it delivers streamlined, user friendly interfaces, customizable workflows, strong reporting and analytics and mobile access. I find its ease of use, advanced capabilities and ability to scale make it a go-to option for companies of various sizes.

Cons

I have noticed that Workday's implementation and integration can sometimes be lengthy and complicated. In my experience the complex reporting can also lead to performance problems. I wish they would improve report performance optimization to make things run smoother.

Easy to use with strong reporting

Pros

From my experience Workday offers several positives in a nutshell as it's easy to use, cloud-hosted for access anywhere, links well with other HR systems, provides strong reporting features and receives ongoing updates and improvements

Cons

The main drawback is cost as it is fairly pricey so it makes most sense for large organizations. I also find it somewhat complex at times and getting comfortable with the navigation and features requires a fair amount of learning

Great balance, better than competitors

Pros

I have found Workday strikes a great balance between what employers require and what job seekers need and in my opinion it's significantly better than most competitors out there. I am hopeful it remains free as it is today.

Cons

One issue I have is that it doesn't give ongoing updates or reminders about application status to either the hiring team or to me as the applicant. it would be fantastic if they could add that functionality.

Good experience with it

Pros

It's simple to use and it does a solid job of helping you understand the entire organization structure, covering payroll, HR and business administration in one place.

Cons

Daily attendance section for employees could use some improvements to make the day to day operation run more smoothly.

reporting made easy

Pros

Like a true enterprise-grade human capital management platform, it works grear... and as an admin, it's been a solid setup for handling day to day HR. The interface is pretty simple to navigate so getting into key areas like payroll, benefits and performance management doesn't turn into a hassle. Reporting is another big win.. there's strong visibility across employee demographics and compliance, related data which helps a lot when you need answers quickly. I also appreciate how well it connects with other business tools, like accounting and time tracking apps since it cuts down on manual data entry and keeps processes more organized. Also, the mobile app is genuinely useful for managing HR tasks on the go.

Cons

That said, the system can be a bit complex. Since it has a lot of capabilities, it may feel overwhelming until they get familiar with how everything is organized.

Easy to operate still exploring features

Pros

It is user friendly and easy to navigate and operate. Because multiple agencies use it, I am also fond of the range of services it offers to their clients and end users.

Cons

At the moment I have no complaints. I am still looking through every feature to find what's most helpful for me. Could you clarify the specific use cases? That's all I have.

Central platform but works slow

Pros

Being able to handle all my HR interactions from one central platform is something that makes staying on top of things much easier for me.

Cons

My main issue is that the interface could use some polishing and I often notice that prompts are delayed or arrive slower than I expect.

Cloud-based but customization is hard

Pros

In my experience Workday brings a lot of functionality and advantages that explain why so many people speak well of it. I find the cloud-based setup particularly helpful because my team and I can log in from virtually anywhere with an internet connection which makes it far more convenient and flexible when people are working from different offices or remotely. I also rely on the real-time data it provides that immediate visibility is critical when I need to make quick, informed choices. Another plus for me is the wide range of pre-built integrations. They've made it easier to connect it with the other applications we use without reinventing the wheel. On top of that, the interface comes across as clean and fairly easy to navigate and overall it feels designed to give users a great experience rather than a cluttered one.

Cons

I have noticed a few common issues. Such as setup can be long and complicated and customizing it for specific needs isn't always easy which can be frustrating. Sometimes the interface feels confusing and not as user-friendly as expected making it hard to find what I need. Reporting can also be limited as it is tricky to pull certain reports or format them the way I want. Finally, integrating it with other systems can be challenging and does not always feel smooth, requiring extra work to fix.

decent but navigation is confusing

Pros

All aspects, from recruiting progress to ongoing employee development and everything in between, are consolidated in one place. I enjoy being able to view payroll, check an employee's tenure and quickly find what I need.

Cons

I find navigation can be confusing at times and some chart generation isn't always clear. Working with charts and the filters Workday provides has been a definite learning curve for me.

Custom fields with tailored reports

Pros

I really appreciate that the system lets me build a wide range of custom fields and I can generate plenty of tailored reports to suit our company's needs whenever necessary.

Cons

Frankly, it's frustrating that even though Adaptive Planning is part of the Workday family, I still have to manually transfer and reconcile personnel data from Workday into the financial planning tool. I'd really prefer if Workday provided continuous syncing so the personnel sheets in Adaptive Planning stayed up to date automatically at all times.

Professional data arrangement is good

Pros

What impressed me was how neatly the content and employee data were arranged as it felt very professional. I am convinced it's among the most widely used systems worldwide. I have seen it deployed in both mid-sized organizations and massive companies with thousands of employees.

Cons

Sometimes I find the volume of information overwhelming and moving through so much text makes navigation a bit hard.

Effective but requires training

Pros

It is a great tool for HR because it consistently gets the job done effectively.

Cons

the system isn't very user-friendly and the UI/UX could use a lot of improvement. It's also extremely expensive to roll out, often needing third-party consultants and you cannot really teach yourself so formal trainings are necessary.

Buggy software and seems decades old

Pros

Workday handles most tasks pretty well and I like the clean, easy to navigate design.

Cons

This software feels buggy and way too complicated. When I run a process, I have to wait and get a notice later that it's done which does not make sense to me. It is like they put a nice-looking cover on software from the 1990s. When I am filling out timesheets, if I change the task or project, the form clears everything and I have to start over which is really frustrating when I am working on multiple projects. There is also no easy way to send feedback to them. I get the feeling they do not really care about the daily experience of people like me. It seems like they are more focused on impressing business leaders than helping actual users. All of that makes the product feel disappointing.

Excellent!!

Pros

Feels like a platform with a ton of potential and it's become a real cornerstone of our internal HR setup. It supports a wide range of workflows and capabilities which has made it a key part of how we run HR day to day.

Cons

The only real issue is around customisation. Even with an internal administrator, getting certain changes in place doesn't feel as simple as you'd expect. The system can handle lots of clever processes but when we need specific tweaks, we often end up paying for extra development to make it work the way we want.
