“Jack of all trades, Nahh”
Pros
From my experience Workday does bring a large number of systems together in one centralized place and I appreciate the wide range of features the platform covers under its umbrella.
Cons
I honestly think jack of all trades, master of none fits Workday well. It has many features but they often feel unpolished as many parts are overly complicated. Though I knew switching from our old system would not be the same but even simple tasks like filling out timesheets or managing hiring have become frustratingly difficult.

“Never crashes, manual entries take time”
Pros
It never crashes, it's easy to use and the screens are clear and easy to read.
Cons
I have to enter everything manually. the system doesn't automatically create deductions or earnings for employees which adds extra work.

“User-friendly and easily accessible”
Pros
Workday is incredibly user-friendly. As an employee or manager, I can easily access everything such as clocking hours, checking time off, reviewing benefits, reading the handbook and more. Plus when we use it for job postings and applications, the hiring process feels simple and well organized.
Cons
I don't have any drawbacks to report. I genuinely like this platform and would love to see more organizations adopt it for posting jobs and providing employee resources.

“Dashboard displays career performance history”
Pros
When I open the Workday dashboard, I can view all the information I need such as my career details, performance records and work history are all right there and it makes navigating my employment data so much easier.
Cons
I'd like the dashboard to include visual elements though some kind of chart or percentage indicators for my metrics would really help me understand trends faster.

“Easy integration but confusing hierarchy”
Pros
Workday's tools make it easy for me to add and manage users and I appreciate the platform's flexibility when it comes to integrating with other systems.
Cons
In my experience some of the built-in HR structures, like the hierarchy, feel confusing and don't suit every business model.

“All HR functions accessible in one spot”
Pros
the standout feature of Workday is that it brings all HR-related functions together in one spot so employees can easily access everything. I can both give and receive feedback through the platform, check and change my benefits, use the learning tools, view my payslips and update my bank account details when needed.
Cons
I don't like that users aren't able to personalize the website to fit their own needs which feels limiting. I am also annoyed by the fact that I can only split my paycheck across three bank accounts, as that restriction doesn't work well for my financial setup.

“Covers all areas, interface is unmanageable”
Pros
For me it covers every area you'd expect for HR administration such as payroll, performance tracking, recruiting and benefits administration so I consider it an excellent solution for all HR and benefits-related needs.
Cons
I find the user interface pretty clunky. For instance, when I am entering performance reviews or leaving recruiting feedback, it feels like I am using software from the early 2000s. The whole UI and visual design need a big overhaul.

“Friendly interface makes navigation fun”
Pros
I have found it really easy to use, with a friendly interface that makes navigating the system pretty easy and fun.
Cons
That said, I think the interface feels a little dated almost like something from the early days of the internet and could really benefit from a visual refresh because a simple GUI is great but one that's outdated just doesn't feel as good.

“makes reporting pretty slow”
Pros
Honestly there is absolutely nothing about it that excites me. I am not enthusiastic about any feature of this product. I truly dread having to rely on it every day for recruiting.
Cons
I work at a public company that builds great collaboration software so I know what user-friendly looks like. And this tool is nothing like that. I honestly wonder what their engineering team spends time on. I cannot take the good reviews seriously. Every page in it takes forever to reach like a ten-click journey. You cannot move quickly. Reporting and filtering are frustrating and barely usable. If you drill down through several screens and hit back, it kicks you all the way to the start, losing all your progress. The platform is not user friendly at all as it's a little off and adds unnecessary steps instead of simplifying work. And the Greenhouse integration? In my experience it's terrible.

“Fully integrated and eliminates multiple systems”
Pros
What I really like is how everything is fully integrated. it's a single platform I use for performance reviews, leave and absence tracking, employee transfers and more. Because of Workday's breadth, I don't have to juggle multiple systems to handle different HR processes.
Cons
There are a few things I find frustrating. For example, terminating an employee is a long, complicated process. Almost every task needs approval so even simple requests can get stuck in the workflow. Timing rules are also annoying as updates have to be made in strict order. If I enter something for June 2021, I cannot add or change anything for May or April without deleting the June entry first. That makes fixing or backdating info really painful.

“central hub with built in email”
Pros
What stood out most to me was how everything was kept in one central place. I also had my own email account through the system which made it simple to message my managers and stay on top of which tasks still needed to be completed.
Cons
The only part I couldn't get from the system was pay details. It covered essentially everything for orientation but pay information wasn't included which felt like the missing piece.

“keeps goals on track”
Pros
So good! it has played a major role in tracking employee success ever since my organization switched over. When our whole division moved to a remote/work from home setup, it became even more important for keeping everyone aligned with their career development. The software makes it simple and organized to set monthly, quarterly and annual goals for the team. One of my favorite parts is the automated reminders, when something is overdue or needs an entry, employees get a message in their inbox. That means I don't end up sending tons of follow up reminders which nobody really enjoys. I also get clear updates on completion status for performance tracking and there's a nice level of transparency since my employees receive a notification when I've finished their forms on my end.
Cons
Accessing past performance reviews feels a little tricky. I also tend to struggle reaching previous quarters or months the first time I try to open them which can be frustrating. A more obvious option or shortcut on the dashboard to jump directly to prior reviews would make the experience even better.

“takes away all the onboarding stress”
Pros
The software works well for both employees and managers. As a manager, it made payroll and tracking time off much easier saving me a lot of manual work. Plus having everything in one place helped me feel more in control, even with a busy schedule. It also made onboarding new hires smooth and took the stress out of being a first-time manager as the system was user friendly and quick to learn.
Cons
Sometimes it can feel overwhelming especially for people who are not used to technology or prefer older methods. But I found it's not hard to learn. As the interface is clean and simple which makes it easier to navigate than I expected.

“made recruiting easier”
Pros
I genuinely love it, this isn't just hype. Navigation feels simple and the reporting features are really strong. Sharing candidates with hiring managers and other recruiters is quick and painless and the candidate profile lets you track everything that happens from start to finish. Overall, it's helped me hire significantly more employees than I could before using it.
Cons
The only downside I've run into is tied to our company's implementation. We could've used more training but that wasn't really their problem.

“Solid progress tracking”
Pros
Really organized the hiring process and even after new hires come in, it's helpful for keeping track of staff growth and overall progress across the firm.
Cons
Navigation and the UI could use some refinement, the back/navigation button sometimes disappears on certain pages which makes it annoying to return to a previous screen.

“user friendly”
Pros
After moving from our previous workforce management tools to the one, we saw a clear jump in adoption across multiple areas. More employees started using it for Time Off, Performance, Payroll and other HR tasks. The interface is simple enough that people can figure it out without spending tons of time on manuals or extra operating documents. honestly this has been the most welcoming its rollout experience we've had so far.
Cons
A few sites have some navigation gaps. For instance, the navigation buttons don't show up consistently, when I'm checking how much time off I have remaining, I sometimes can't switch back to the Time Off Home page because those buttons aren't available there.

“Im satisfied!”
Pros
The parts I rely on most are for managing my direct reports' time off. Also, it's also the place where I can pull up any employee details we have stored on file.
Cons
There are moments when I need to look up information for someone else who isn't assigned to me and it would help a lot to be able to view those records. Right now, if an employee isn't assigned to me, I'm unable to access any of their information.
