“Easy login with hour tracking”
Pros
I like how easy the program was to operate and how user friendly the login process made tracking my hours. I could quickly view my hours and monitor my earnings. I also valued that it lacked the confusing features employees often encounter in other human resource management systems and payroll tools overall.
Cons
Occasionally our system would go down and we ended up recording hours by hand which meant the supervisor had to enter the time afterwards. This only occurred every few months and might have been a network problem yet it was a fairly regular annoyance. We also tried calling support and struggled to reach someone who could resolve our question in a timely manner which was quite frustrating for the team.

“Dedicated areas are neatly grouped on pages”
Pros
What I like is that there's a dedicated area for everything I need such as items are neatly grouped on each page which makes it easy for me to find things and understand how to move around the system.
Cons
I feel the interface needs a redesign as it doesn't have the visual polish that other platforms offer. The fonts and layout are quite plain and the text is small which for me reduces usability and makes interacting with the app more difficult.

“Centralized with frequent current updates”
Pros
Overall I appreciate having everything centralized and being able to add new components as needed. I also notice frequent updates that help keep Workday feeling current and maintained and usually up to date.
Cons
With all the updates, there is a constant and steep learning curve. Some changes even need Workday specialists to implement. Such as having a good partner or internal team makes a big difference. Plus I have to keep up and test everything thoroughly which takes a lot of time.

“Highly flexible and user-friendly interface”
Pros
Workday is highly flexible and I also think the interface is very user-friendly.

For me sometimes the tool lacks certain features by default so I often have to have those capabilities implemented.

“Auto-populate hours with reminders”
Pros
The software is easy to use. It makes tracking my hours simple and gives reminders about when my timesheets must be submitted. Also if I work normal 40 hour week, I can auto-populate my weekly hours from past weeks. It lets me verify my hours before they go to my manager.
Cons
Sometimes I experience glitches when manually entering.

“Many modules integrate different areas”
Pros
I have noticed there are many modules covering different HR areas so I can integrate them.
Cons
From my experience you have to be careful about how you implement your work processes into the system because usually when something isn't working, it's more likely due to how I set it up than a fault in the software itself.

“Cloud-based limits large company customization”
Pros
One thing I like is that it brings together built-in HR management, benefits, talent development, recruiting, payroll, timekeeping, workforce planning and analytics, plus learning into a single modern, data-centric offering. All the components communicate with one another inside this completely integrated system, instead of relying on separate vendors' products that don't always work well together. It is a cost-effective and scalable option that avoids the need for on-premises capital expenditures or additional running costs. Straightaway, Workday provides value to both small and large employers. People who move between companies may welcome encountering the same platform repeatedly - cutting down on time spent learning new software and preventing drops in productivity and significantly easing cross-company transitions overall.
Cons
Since it is cloud-based, it's not as customizable as some competitors that offer on-site support especially for larger companies with bigger budgets. That's not necessarily a deal-breaker but it makes you think about what solution fits best based on company size and needs. For employers with a few thousand employees or less, it is a good choice. For much larger organizations, it's more complex because there are other options that offer more on-site resources. In the end, it really depends on the companys internal strengths and priorities.

“Easy time off paystub access”
Pros
I really like how easy it is to check my remaining time off and download my paystubs.
Cons
What bothers me is that I can only disable notifications inside Workday itself, rather than being able to turn off the email alerts.

“Multiple modules save time communicating”
Pros
We found the platform very usable, with several modules that give us a lot of flexibility. We were able to combine multiple HR workflows into the same system which saved time and effort. It also makes communicating within the team noticeably simpler.
Cons
I have noticed the BI information isn't organized well and can feel poorly structured so some crucial details are missing. On top of that, a few of the workflows are fairly complicated to set up and activate.

“offer easy access but not user friendly”
Pros
Everything I need to know about my team lives in a single spot and I am really grateful I don't have to hunt across a dozen different apps for various bits of information. For the most part I can answer my own questions from what Workday shows so I rarely need to reach out to HR.
Cons
The interface doesn't feel very user friendly so finding exactly what I need can be a real chore at times. After using it for about a year Ihave figured out where most things live yet I still end up clicking through several menus and screens before I finally locate the information I was trying to access.

“cenrtal hub”
Pros
Pretty much any HR-related features, questions or information are available in one place. I was able to bring my benefits selections, PTO and performance reviews into a single spot which made everything feel a lot more organized. It also seems more efficient than our previous system and causes far less downtime. Also, it includes the basics I expect, like standard user logins, password setup and an online time sheet. I especially appreciate how quickly I can update my own details, changing things like my benefits or dependencies is much faster than having to go through HR in person.
Cons
One sticking point, with the old platform, I could directly edit certain team member information and reviews from my side. I'm not able to do that anymore, likely because of access permissions or how my HR team configured the setup. As a result, getting updates done takes longer since I have to request manual changes and coordinate through a few parties outside my immediate department.

“Not recommended”
Pros
Using it to log and view absences is convenient and it's also where I fill out performance goals (PPMs) for my company. The setup feels pretty focused on those tasks and it generates a clean, readable report that supervisors can review without digging through a bunch of extra stuff.
Cons
The workflow in it doesn't feel organized, requesting days off takes a noticeable number of extra clicks. Notifications in the inbox are also annoying because they don't clear after you read them so you end up manually deciding what to do with each one. There's no bulk action to clean things up faster. Also, paystub information isn't integrated so you need access to multiple separate applications just to get the full picture.

“Tabs help but data entry drags”
Pros
Organizes everything with clear tabbed sections which makes it simple to browse and locate the information you need, personal details, benefits, pay, tax forms and similar items. Jumping between tabs to find the right screen feels simple and keeps you from digging around.
Cons
Using it for actual data entry feels pretty dated and not very user friendly. Yes, switching between tabs to locate items is manageable but updating or entering information inside those tabs is a different story, it often ends up requiring support to make changes. That company wide issue was one of the reasons the team decided to move to a new scheduling and business platform. Also, there are frequent downtime problems, including a scheduled outage every Friday for roughly 10 hours. During that window, the system isn't reliably usable so tasks like manually entering clock-in/clock-out details become necessary something that would typically be handled directly in Workday. With several hundred employees, this turns into a massive time sink that can take hours. There are also random, unannounced downtimes throughout the month that keep interrupting work.

“UX is bad”
Pros
Packs in a ton of features and if you can track them down, the amount of detail you can store and access is really useful... especially for procurement and general staff administration. Since it's browser-based, there's also no need to install anything on individual devices which makes rollout and access a lot simpler.
Cons
Its ux is pretty much nonexistent. Even basic tasks can feel confusing and you'll often see multiple routes to complete the same thing but only one actually works. When fields aren't filled out exactly right, the error messages commonly send you all the way back to the beginning which is frustrating and slow. For procurement, the notifications can be sporadic so you end up manually chasing colleagues to figure out what's happening. Visually and interaction-wise it feels like an old warehouse inventory screen... uninviting and dated. Doing anything in the system starts to feel like a major chore.

“hard to navigation”
Pros
Connects really well with other systems and even though recruiting can feel a bit awkward, the HR generalists seemed genuinely happy to have everything, data and key functions, in a single place.
Cons
Getting to the exact page you need takes way too many clicks. It would help a lot if navigation were more organized, like adding list options, such as going from an applicant's profile to a full candidates list and selecting people from that screen. Right now, bouncing back to the home screen to re-enter the position and then return to the candidate list becomes a time sink.

“Positive experience”
Pros
Using this total HR platform has felt simple. It covers payroll management, time tracking, health and dental and even the benefit election steps for insurance, including chain-of-command workflows. Everything sits in one place and the benefits section lets you directly choose medical, dental, eye and life insurance options. The overall selection is strong.
Cons
At times the flow feels more like a one-way in and one-way out process which can be a little confusing when you're trying to move around. It also isn't always immediately clear whether an entry is accurate. Still, the system covers a lot, from written question inputs and multiple-choice bubble selections and the good parts clearly outweigh these quirks.

“reliable software”
Pros
It is one of the few tools I rely on every day without running into problems or having any complaints. It does exactly what it promises and it consistently meets expectations. My company uses Payroll to handle and track payroll for employees and the results have been accurate and functional. The interface is simple to use, the overall design looks clean and is easy to read, while still offering the depth needed to enter a lot of information.
Cons
There aren't really any downsides to call out. The only minor critique would be that syncing or integrating with ADP could be a little more organized. I often end up clicking through multiple links to reach the payroll system and it sometimes opens extra windows, three more pop up when I already have eight or nine tabs open. That said, it's a small inconvenience compared to the benefits.

“amazing”
Pros
Workday Recruiting really stepped up how we handle HR. It's rare to find a platform that covers more than just recruiting, this one also supports finance and planning which has been a huge bonus for us. Whenever we have board meetings at the bank, I feel confident because I can pull the exact information we need right from the system. It didn't only keep my work organized, it also lets me track data across things like timesheets and expenses which is basically what I was after. Overall, the investment has reduced my workload significantly, like I've had about half the effort on my plate.
Cons
Only thing that bothers me is the job posting flow when an error pops up during posting. If that happens, you have to redo the entire setup and it doesn't seem like there's an option to resubmit.. so you end up starting from scratch. I might be overlooking a setting but as it stands it's a bit frustrating.
