benefits enrollment done right

Pros

Every year when annual enrollment starts, a message shows up in my inbox and I can jump right in to choose my benefits. The interface looks really well designed and everything responds quickly when I'm using it. A+ experience overall.

Cons

I genuinely don't have any complaints. I've used it two years in a row now and still love it. At this point making changes would probably just be change for the sake of it rather than an actual improvement.

excellent payroll on the go

Pros

Among payroll tools available today, Workday Payroll stands out as one of the best. It gives HR professionals a much more convenient way to handle payroll and financial tasks. Since it's cloud-based, it also comes with a mobile app which makes it really useful when you need to work while away from your desk.

Cons

There isn't anything seriously wrong with the application but it would benefit from more frequent updates and the addition of newer features. A free trial should also be available for potential customers who want to test it first. Also, the system can be slow at times which becomes frustrating pretty quickly and the vendor doesn't seem to provide much support.

feature-packed

Pros

Workday covers a huge range of functions and can be used for almost everything. We handled personnel records, time tracking, performance reviews, forms and plenty more through it. There's a lot it can do and the flexibility feels almost limitless.

Cons

Setting up some features on the backend can be pretty tiring. It also takes several people and a lot of time to keep the system maintained and properly managed.

recommended!

Pros

Getting around this software is really simple and I can jump in to make changes without dealing with any hassles. It also does a solid job of keeping track of everything from PTO to other time-off requests.

Cons

One thing that could make it better is adding more notifications for requests that still haven't been answered.

clear salary insights

Pros

The way the salary breakup is presented is really clear and informative. The time-off feature is also managed very well and works reliably.

Cons

My only concern is the slow performance. Even on a 100 Mbps LAN, it usually takes around 20 seconds to open and the SSO is slow as well.

user-friendly

Pros

Writing business rules for a wide range of complex eligibility groups is very simple and the system is very user-friendly overall.

Cons

Benefits reporting can be a bit tricky but it's still manageable. I'd recommend taking a reporting class before implementation.

flexible integrations

Pros

One thing that really works well is the integrations, they're solid and can usually connect with just about any system. The business processes are also very configurable which gives a lot of flexibility in how things are set up.

Cons

Using the platform can take too many clicks to get things done. Because of that, it can be discouraging for some of us who aren't very tech-savvy.

amazing software

Pros

Navigating the system feels very simple and the menus are adaptive to use. It's also simple to check whether employees fall within the right salary ranges and the historical data is displayed in a very clear way.

Cons

In my setup, notifications do not come through outside the application. I have to open the app itself to see alerts and access my Workday inbox.

additional costs

Pros

It covers the basic modules well and includes useful interface capabilities. It also helps set up the organizational hierarchy and approval workflows clearly.

Cons

The downside is that customization comes at an extra cost. It also doesn't offer much flexibility between departments and making changes later to reflect updated best practices isn't really possible.

clean UI

Pros

Having time off, compensation, employee details and the full team hierarchy available in one place makes the product really useful. The interface feels clean and adaptive so it's simple to move around without any confusion.

Cons

My overall experience with the product was good but the red-highlighted Actions section in the inbox could be unclear. Sometimes those actions weren't navigable and if youre new, it was hard to tell whether the update was critical or not.

detailed benefits information

Pros

One thing I really appreciate about the Workday benefits tool is how detailed it is. It provides nearly all the benefit-related information in one place and the details are presented properly and in an organized way. Having the information available clearly and correctly makes the tool very useful.

Cons

The process for updating benefit details still needs some improvement. Making changes to a benefit plan should be much simpler and with clearer steps.

well-organized payroll details

Pros

Everything related to payroll is laid out properly and is simple to check. Moving through the application screens felt simple and I didn't run into any navigation issues. The part I appreciated most was the tabular view for Bonus and One-Time Payment History.

Cons

I haven't noticed any major downside overall. That said, the data migration process from the previous software into Workday Payroll could definitely be better.

Good experience overall

Pros

Navigating the site feels very simple and everything is adaptive to use. I also appreciate being able to log in outside of work and print pay stubs whenever I need them.

Cons

At this point, I really haven't run into anything I dislike about what I've used. Any minor potential issues are far outweighed by the benefits.

all HR tools in one place

Pros

One thing I appreciate most is being able to send feedback requests directly through the platform itself. It also lets you add your career goals there and at the same time you can complete all your personal details along with your dependents' information for benefits in one place. Another feature I really enjoy is the time-off option being tracked in hours which makes it much more convenient to apply for a half-day leave.

Cons

Honestly I haven't come across anything I dislike about the software yet. The only suggestion I'd make is to add a pop-up notification system instead of relying on email since that would feel more engaging.

helpful employee connections

Pros

Something that really works well with Workday is how it helps employees stay connected. Whenever I need to reach someone, I can quickly look up their information in Workday and get in touch without any hassle.

I haven't run into any issues with it.

amazing

Pros

Workday stands out as the top cloud-based ERP especially in the higher education space. Compared with it oracle and SAP were slower to enter this market.

Cons

Student Module still needs more features and stronger functionality. At this point, Workday seems to be roughly two years away from offering a fully complete SIS environment for the higher education segment.

clean layout

Pros

The platform has a clean, well-organized layout and feels user-friendly for both day-to-day users and people working on the back end. The navigation icons are helpful too and make it easier to get around the site.

Cons

At times, it can be a little hard to find where certain things are. Once you get familiar with the system though, it becomes fairly simple to use.

reliable platform

Pros

Once you spend a little time with it, it becomes fairly manageable to use. Since it's web-based, that also helps a lot because you can eventually figure out how everything works.

Cons

You really need to watch the training videos to understand how to use it properly. At times, it can still feel pretty difficult to navigate and the connection occasionally drops as well.

Strong support

Pros

Configurability, the UI, support and overall performance have all been very good. The reporting module is efficient enough to handle complex reporting needs and there is less dependence on a technical analyst for day-to-day work.

Cons

One limitation is that, unlike a traditional RDBMS, a separate report needs to be created for each analysis. Writing SQL is still easier in comparison. It would also be beneficial if they released a platform that lets us build custom solutions.

works efficiently

Pros

Almost every day, I rely on Workplace for both payroll and internal job referrals. It gives me a single, frustration-free place to handle everything I need. The interface is very user-friendly and the overall layout makes information clear and easy to understand.

Cons

Something that could be improved is the mobile app since it doesn't include all the features available on the desktop version. It would be even better if both platforms offered the same functiona
