An Excellent and Perfect Accounting and Bookkeeping Tool.

Pros

I find it convenient for handling accounting and bookkeeping tasks with Xero. Billing and invoicing are easy to manage, and it simplifies tracking cash flows and bank reconciliation.

Cons

Setting up recurring bills in Xero is very simple. It has placeholders for customizing references and other necessary information. You can select the status of recurring bills (draft, awaiting approval, awaiting payment) and choose frequency, due date, and end date, providing flexibility.

Cons

It's best to have an expert set up Xero and train users to ensure immediate and accurate deployment.

quick setup and simple banking

Pros

Xero software is very easy to use and using it day to day has been just as simple. Setting everything up didn't take much effort and allocating bank transactions is especially convenient.

Cons

The only downside is choosing a package that isn't more than what we actually need though that's not really an issue with how the software itself performs.

invoicing that just flows

Pros

At work we use Xero instead of QuickBooks Online and it makes creating, customizing and sending invoices a really hassle free task.

Cons

Everything works really well on my side but I'd still like to see them add more global enterprise accounting features.

Simple accounting workflow

Pros

Using Xero has been a pleasure because the interface is simple to work with and it makes it very easy to set up accounts, apply the right tax settings to each one and reconcile transactions without hassle.

Cons

It does connect with plenty of third-party tools and applications but none of the integrations are actually useful for our needs in South Africa. We really need support for local payment gateways and Buy Now Pay Later providers so transactions can be imported directly for reconciliation. Integrations with services like PayFast, PayJustNow, Ozow, Payflex, HappyPay and Float would make a big difference.

fast setup and bank linking

Pros

Setting up the company and connecting with the bank was very quick. And though our online banking platform isn't the easiest to use but Xero integrated without any problems.

Cons

One frustration is that archived invoices cannot be completely deleted which can create conflicts when importing old invoice numbers. We ran into a clash between invoice numbers from the old system and the new one and that caused problems that had to be fixed with credits. It would have been much better if the invoice number could simply be edited.

user friendly reporting for small teams

Pros

This software is very easy to use and the interface seems friendly too. Also it doesn't take much training for someone to learn it which makes onboarding much quicker. It's also flexible enough for different needs and can produce a variety of reports.

Cons

It works well for small businesses but it doesn't go very deep when it comes to detailed functionality.

all in one reports that deliver

Pros

Xero makes the day to day running of our business much more manageable. It has made chasing debtors a lot simpler, keeps everything together in one place and we especially appreciate how many reports it can generate with just a click of a button.

Cons

There really isn't much not to like about it although some parts of the system can feel a bit more complicated than they need to be.

flexible accounting with faster reconciliation

Pros

Compared with other applications I have used, this one is very user friendly. The functionality and flexibility have been improved and it helps a lot with bank reconciliation which cuts down on manual work.

Cons

It could use more improvement around user-level access and control although it hasn't had any real impact on our business.

user friendly and responsive

Pros

Using Xero has been a really positive experience. The interface is user friendly, it's simple to work with and there's plenty of extra information available when needed. Any time I have spoken with the wider team, they've been incredibly responsive. I am very happy with Xero.

Cons

I honestly don't have any negatives to point out so I cannot comment on anything I dislike about it.
