“Over hyped Subscription management and Billing solution”
Pros
I find the API-driven functionality of this software the best. It's easy to use, navigate and set up which makes repetitive billing a simple task.
Cons
This software falls short even in handling basic multi-currency requirements. The product catalog model is too flat and simplistic which lacks customization and extensibility. In short it feels rigid and inflexible.

“My experience with Zuora”
Pros
I'm amazed by how this tool automates invoice generation, billing management and tracking of invoice payments. It integrates seamlessly with CRM tools like Salesforce, making the process even smoother.
Cons
Occasionally, there are bugs and intermittent errors when sending approved quotes from Salesforce to Zuora. However, overall my experience has been great.

“Not Customizable”
Pros
In my experience, Zuora is perfect for simple transactions and smaller teams that don't handle complex deals. The integration with Salesforce is also a nice feature.
Cons
The customization options are very limited so we most of the times require additional support for making any kind of changes. Also the user interface is outdated and not user friendly.

“An excellent application to automate billings.”
Pros
One of the standout qualities of Zuora is its exceptional notification system. It allows us to send customized emails to all customers requiring renewal reminders before their renewal date. The software's high level of customization plays a key role in tailoring it to our company's specific needs. Additionally, the seamless integration with other market software, such as our CRM, makes Zuora even more valuable.
Cons
The learning curve within Zuora is quite steep due to the software's robustness and its various characteristics and capabilities. It is important to focus on training new users because this can be a challenging aspect. Another important detail is the limited segmentation of billing notification emails, as they can only be sent to selected countries.

“Powerful and flexible subscription management platform”
Pros
Thanks to Zuora, we were able to create a comprehensive subscription service. It gives us full control over managing and configuring various aspects of the subscription order-to-cash process, including rate plans, payment gateways, charging, invoicing and reporting.
Cons
The initial setup and license costs act as a barrier for us. The investment makes sense for concrete, substantial business cases but may not be as worthwhile for small scale or experimental activities.

“Pricey, but good for the right size of company”
Pros
I really like the fact that the software has numerous features. Well the user interface can be a bit challenging to use at times, still it's robust and reliable. The rules are easy to follow and it precisely handles its core business functions. As a customer team, we rely heavily on this software, as it serves as our go-to platform for billing and product-related information.
Cons
The installation process was challenging. This happened four years ago, but you have to pay a high amount for professional services, and there was a significant misalignment between what the software could do out of the box and what we needed to program on our side. It ended up working out, but it required a substantial distribution of development resources to keep it functioning. It was far from ideal, and it was likely due to us not asking the right questions. Another drawback is the expensive nature of the software, and as the organization grows larger, obtaining support becomes a challenge as it seems disconnected from the rest of the organization. It has been one of the most enterprise-like experiences in terms of buying, negotiating, and relying on consultants to build certain parts, similar to our experiences outside of Salesforce. The new features that are released are good, but they feel isolated and come with a high price tag. Granted, as a public company, they need to deliver value to shareholders.

“Great product, terrible data and reports”
Pros
Among all the options in the industry, Zuora stands out as it allows us to customize everything as per our need. Also it seamlessly integrates with Salesforce, which is a great advantage.
Cons
Dealing with data in this software is a nightmare. There is no documentation for the reports and data export features, and the company provides little assistance. The integration team provided by Zuora was not professionals and it wasn't easy for us to work with them.

“Getting Better”
Pros
Over time, the Zuora billing system has won me over. I had the opportunity to attend Zuora's annual conference in 2019, and I highly recommend it. The conference provided valuable insights into existing and upcoming features. The representatives from Zuora are dedicated to helping us customize the billing system and recommend best practices. With ongoing improvements and added functionality, I have high expectations that Zuora will continue to meet more of our billing needs. They also have a "Zuora University which is an excellent resource with interactive online videos that provide valuable information.
Cons
Initially, Zuora was not user-friendly, and the implementation process was challenging. It took a lot of trial and error, reading through their help articles and reaching out to their support team for assistance. To fully benefit from the system, a significant investment of time and resources is required. Additionally, my company has discovered that we need to purchase additional features to improve our experience.

“Zuora billing”
Pros
Our company work on this software on a daily basis. We use it for tasks such as submitting invoices, sending out email notifications and setting up accounts.
Cons
One of the aspects I dislike about this software is that many functions are only available at an extra cost. Getting in touch with support is not a simple task, and I think it would be great to have a chat option. Also some of the settings are inaccurate.

“Zuora for billing”

“It's so slow, it has delayed my sales process by A LOT”
Pros
I can't think of many systems that are in English, to be honest. This is why I prefer Zuora over others.
Cons
The system is very slow which causes too much frustration. I can't count the number of times I was on the phone with a prospect, trying to create a quote, only for the system to stop working. It might work for businesses with just one product and no price customization, but as soon as you add more than 2 to 3 products or make changes, it becomes unusable. Generating a PDF takes 30 minutes, which is unacceptable when you have a customer on the phone with their credit card ready. Many of them would simply say, "Call me back when it's working," and good luck trying to chase them later.

“Great SaaS Billing System”
Pros
As a SaaS company, we have been using Zuora regularly as a fantastic, customizable billing system. It seamlessly integrates with Salesforce and our other applications, ensuring that all our data is unified.

“Zuora Review”
Pros
In my opinion, Zuora is excellent for any subscription-based business. Its subscription object model is robust and offer customization options that eventually gives a wide range of options to customers. Integration with other systems is also a hassle free process using their APIs, and the Salesforce Zuora connector is simply awesome. Setting up credit card processing through one of their partners is also very uncomplicated.
Cons
The reporting capabilities are mediocre at best and could use improvement. I would not recommend Zuora to customers who sell their products through a reseller.

“Good tool, but lacks UX enhancements and easy support”
Pros
What makes Zuora stand out is its exceptional ability to handle revenue recognition and other financially integrated components required for accounting purposes.
Cons
Not only, the tool can be confusing to use at times but getting support is also not easy. Zuora needs to make significant improvements to their user experience to improve its user-friendliness.

“The best subscription billing”
Pros
Our transition from an outdated system to Zuora was absolutely amazing! Right out of the box, it perfectly managed a significant amount of our previously obscured data. Anyone could log in and instantly see our progress or run reports to obtain valuable churn, ARR, MRR and other insightful metrics. The setup process was quick and relatively hassle free. It simply works well for us!
Cons
There are so many features in the tool that we didn't use. While we didn't need them, their presence made the user interface a bit cluttered which makes it challenging for us to navigate through the tool.

“Needs more power”
Pros
I find Zuora mainly useful for subscription services. The software offers basic billing functions and generates AR reports.
Cons
I find that there are several functionalities that leave much to be desired. The out-of-the-box reporting and data manipulation options are rigid, making it difficult to run recurring reports. While additional functions can be purchased with money, I believe many of them should be included by default. The invoices are messy and have limitations in terms of how information can be represented. The customer service team tends to prioritize closing tickets quickly rather than being thorough. Although it works decently, there is still room for improvement.

“A must for subscription-model businesses”
Pros
Z-billing provides numerous ways to modify customer subscriptions based on their individual needs. You can easily disable auto-renewal, add or remove products from a subscription and adjust the price. Moreover, Zuora effortlessly integrates with Salesforce which allows for easy creation of quotes in Salesforce that automatically generate subscriptions within Zuora. The interactive learning center they offer is incredible as it provides step by step guidance on creating, modifying and canceling subscriptions.
Cons
As there are so many different features available, it requires a significant amount of time to fully learn all the functionality of the software.

“Implemented this Product for a Start-up”
Pros
My first job after college was with a technology startup and they had recently started using Zuora, and it was my responsibility to implement it all around the company. The experience was seamless and highly satisfying. Despite the absence of our implementation specialist now, the system proved intuitive and user-friendly. I was able to teach myself a great deal and now use the product on a daily basis.
Cons
The provided reports did not exactly meet my needs, so I had to create many manual reports. I eventually obtained the required information, but it took longer.
