Datawrapper Features
Custom Themes
The software’s ‘Custom Themes’ option allows organizations to apply their full brand identity to every chart, map, and table produced in their Datawrapper account. Teams receive a custom design theme configured to their style guide, so all published visuals remain consistent with organizational branding without manual adjustments on each individual chart.
Print And SVG Export
Datawrapper’s Print and SVG Export enables users to download their visualizations as print-ready PDFs or editable vector-based SVG files, in addition to standard PNG exports. This gives design teams the flexibility to incorporate the platform’s charts into printed publications, annual reports, or presentation decks. In addition, users can retain full control over the final visual output at any scale.
Real-Time Collaboration
The platform allows multiple team members to work on the same chart, map, or table simultaneously within the Datawrapper editor. Its shared folders and in-app comments with email notifications keep entire editorial or data teams aligned. Moreover, it reduces revision cycles and ensures that the most current version of any visualization is always accessible, supporting faster and more accurate data publishing workflows.
Localization
Datawrapper’s localization enables users to publish visualizations in more than 50 output languages, with automatic adjustment of number formats, date representations, and built-in text labels based on the selected locale. It also fully supports right-to-left languages such as Arabic, Hebrew, and Persian, reversing element alignment across chart types and map layouts.

“Great data visuals”
Pros
Navigating data in Datawrapper is very easy and the way it turns complex information into visual formats is what I appreciate most. It supports importing data in several ways, whether from Excel, CSV or other file types which makes it really convenient. The platform accepts a wide variety of data sources and I genuinely enjoy using it for my projects. It's also helpful that it can bring together data from multiple sources.
Cons
I am less satisfied with the dashboard since its features seem somewhat limited and I think it could be made more appealing.

“Love the clean charts”
Pros
Creating charts and maps with Datawrapper is very easy and it turns my data into something much clearer and easier to read. It is a really useful tool for sharing information in a way that lets people explore and assess the data themselves. The overall concept is quite unique and that's something I really enjoy about using it.
Cons
One thing I am less excited about is that the visuals are not especially attractive. It also is limiting when I upload larger datasets because the results don't always match what I expect. On top of that the interface could use a more creative and modern design.

“insightful articles but needs personalization”
Pros
One thing I really enjoy about this tool is its articles and blog content. Since I am someone who likes digging into data, I regularly come across new ideas and perspectives in the way they break down trends and insights from different industries and news topics.
Cons
The range of topics is interesting but the articles would be more useful if they were better tailored to what each user actually cares about. Also a more personalized feed based on interests or even current events would make the experience much more engaging.
