It can be fairly difficult to use at first especially if you're just getting started.

The way it presents my data visually has been a game changer especially during presentations. It makes information much more engaging and easier to communicate.

My only complaint is that it could be a bit more easy to use. Getting started took a little time during the initial setup and learning phase.

Its an excellent cloud-based business intelligence platform that lets us visualize data coming from multiple sources. It turns raw, messy numbers into impressive reports and visual dashboards and the best part is that it doesn't demand advanced programming or deep technical skills to get started.

Cons

There can be some performance slowdown when working with very large datasets. The number of data refreshes allowed per day is also limited.

I appreciate how user friendly Microsoft Power BI is, along with its advanced visualization features, strong data modeling capabilities, smooth integration with other Microsoft applications and the sharing and collaboration tools it offers.

Cons

What I appreciated less was the moderate cost, the limitations of the free version, the learning curve involved and the reliance on Microsoft tools.

Getting started with it was very easy. It was quick to implement and teaching my team how to use it was just as simple. Overall, I've really enjoyed using it.

This software delivers impressive analytics and forecasting using data pulled from sources like Google Sheets, Excel, BigQuery and more.

Cons

Getting everything set up can be pretty frustrating and complicated especially if you don't already have a solid grasp of data connectors. That said, Microsoft does offer plenty of guidance on its support pages.

It performs better than competing tools which is a big advantage.

Using the more advanced features requires deeper knowledge to get the most out of it.

The layout feels simple and logging in is easy. It's also convenient to browse and review data across multiple months without any hassle.

One thing I didn't like was that it showed an error the first time for some reason although it somehow fixed itself afterward.

Working with data visualization feels much simpler here, without all the hassle that usually comes with building tables and graphs in Excel. PowerQuery being built in also makes cleaning up data much more easy and manageable.

Getting started can be challenging if you do not already understand basic data concepts and that learning curve is especially noticeable when using PowerQuery.

Offers a lot of useful options and feels very easy to work with.

The limitation on our side is that we depend heavily on our developers. It clearly seems capable of much more but without the right people to build and execute it properly, we can't fully get it there.

Power BI is a widely recognized tool that a lot of companies rely on for data visualization and it comes with plenty of useful features along with strong customization options. It also connects well with other software which makes integration very convenient.

Cons

Because it's a fairly complex platform, getting comfortable with it and really mastering everything it can do takes quite a bit of time.

I do wish it came with manual connectors already installed so we wouldn't have to keep searching for the codes.

The presentation side and the speed of data processing still have room for improvement.

One thing that really stands out to me about this tool is how approachable it is. You don't need deep technical knowledge or to be an expert in a specific area to create really impressive results with it.

The part I liked least is that the program can feel a bit resource-heavy so you need a fairly capable computer for it to run the way it should.

Pros

Instead of just producing static charts, it lets us build interactive dashboards. Power Query which is one of its tools, also helps a lot with shaping, transforming and cleaning data before it goes into the visualizations.

Cons

Building more advanced visualizations takes a higher level of technical knowledge and experience. When handling very large datasets, Power BI can also run into some performance issues.
