“Regular improvements
Pros
It delivers strong data modeling and transformation through Power Query and once the model is set up properly, DAX makes advanced analytics and KPI calculations extremely capable. Report sharing works really well too, with solid access control through workspaces and apps. Dashboards feel fast and interactive when the data model and PostgreSQL queries are optimized and the overall ecosystem keeps getting better with steady product updates and improvements.
Cons
There is definitely a learning curve especially with DAX and data modeling since both require real expertise to use effectively. As data volume increases, setting up refreshes and keeping them reliable takes ongoing attention. Performance can also start to slip as more people begin using it if monitoring is not handled consistently.

“Powerful data visualization
Pros
It has been a really capable platform for data visualization and reporting. It works well with a wide range of data sources and makes it possible to build interactive dashboards that are actually useful day to day. On our side, we rely on it as the main operational dashboard to track accessories and follow the real-time movement of units and that has made visibility and decision-making much better. Another big plus is how well it fits with other Microsoft products like Excel and Teams.
Cons
Getting comfortable with it can take time especially when you start dealing with DAX formulas or more advanced data models. It can also become slower when handling very large datasets and sharing reports sometimes means you need extra licensing.

“Makes data accessible
Pros
Turning hard-to-use spreadsheets into dashboards that are much easier to handle, analyze and explore is where this really shines. It makes the data far more accessible and a lot simpler to interpret.
Cons
There is definitely a learning curve at the start. Building a proper Power BI front end takes real skill and without knowledgeable maintenance, things can be fairly prone to breaking.

“Useful connection with Microsoft tools
Pros
This tool works really well for building interactive charts, dashboards and reports so data is much easier to explore and understand. The connection with Microsoft tools such as Excel and SharePoint is a big plus and makes day-to-day work more convenient. It also feels beginner-friendly overall, letting users put together useful reports quickly without needing much setup.
Cons
Once you get into the more advanced parts, like DAX formulas and data modeling, the learning curve gets pretty steep and can be tough for beginners to pick up. On top of that, performance tends to slow down with very large or more complex datasets which can make report rendering take longer.

“Made us a favorite for clients
Pros
Seeing our detailed vehicle telemetry alongside driver evaluator notes on an ArcGIS map really changed the conversation for our team. That visualization clicked instantly with a lot of clients and it became an aha moment where they started viewing us as their go-to road safety experts.
Cons
The biggest limitation was the price of the top-tier plan especially the option that lets reports be shared publicly without requiring a user login. That cost was high enough to hold us back and we likely would have fully adopted the platform much earlier if that tier had been more affordable.

Pros
It delivers a powerful, user-friendly and cost-effective way to handle data visualization and analysis. It turns complex datasets into practical, actionable insights and the integration with Microsoft tools like Excel and SharePoint makes it especially valuable for companies that want to build a more data-driven workflow.

Pros
Its a great visualization tool and it becomes even more valuable once you know M and DAX. Some chart types especially stacked charts, work particularly well for presenting survey data. The slicers and filters also make it simple to build reusable templates which is very helpful when creating reports for different teams or clients.

it can take reports and turn them into visually appealing data tables for end users. It's a solid platform that helps users analyze information effectively, making it much easier to support data-driven decision-making.

“Our go-to platform for data analysis
Pros
Moving up from Microsoft Excel, this is pretty much the go-to platform in the data analysis space. There is definitely a learning curve when it comes to understanding the platform's language and the way it connects with different data sources but the interface helps a lot. It includes wizards for setting up data sources, creating dashboard gauges and managing access to reports which makes the process easier to follow. The built-in Microsoft feel, the familiar layout and the guidance features make it user-friendly to navigate and use. On top of that, there's a huge amount of support available online through places like Guy in a Cube and Microsoft Learn, including certification paths.
Cons
When it comes to analyzing data sets and turning information into digestible outputs like dashboards for management or insights for operational teams, it does the job really well. That said, it doesn't offer the depth of dedicated analysis platforms such as IBM SPSS although tools like that also demand much stronger analytical and mathematical knowledge. The part that gets frustrating is that some things that seem simple, like arranging a series in the order you want, are less user-friendly than they should be. In many cases, data sets also need to be supplemented with extra information to display things in the desired way and that can make the work take longer than expected at the start.

“Turns data into clear summaries
Pros
Turning spreadsheet data into clear summaries is much more convenient with this tool especially when working with Excel files. The charts look more appealing and filtering and presenting them is faster than doing the same work directly in Excel. Because of that, it works really well as a complement to spreadsheet-based reporting.
Cons
I still miss stronger built-in automation for report creation. Some of the data I need comes from IT-managed files but there still is not a practical way to automate chart generation so I end up manually loading every graph I want to add to my reports. It would be very helpful to have a way to consistently recreate the same chart for a report based on previously selected filter items or just improve the overall report generation process. I understand that, technically, the information can be looked up but in a large organization not everyone has access to the same IT files so I often have to manually search through things and take screenshots.
