It stood out to us for its low cost and quick deployment. We compared roughly six different chatbot platforms and eventually narrowed it down to two open-source options because we wanted to avoid being tied to any single company's technology. We weren't expecting much in terms of support so Botpress ended up being a really pleasant surprise. The community is active and supportive and the weekly office hours plus the Discord server turned out to be incredibly useful resources.
Cons
Honestly there wasn't much to dislike. The only slight confusion came at the beginning since we had been working with other open-source platforms and weren't expecting a cloud platform that was already set up. In the end, though, that actually turned out to be a nice surprise.

Pros
After comparing several platforms, this ended up being the best fit for us. It really stands out for being user-friendly to work with and efficient overall. Managing conversation flows through prebuilt cards combined with AI gives you strong control while still allowing a lot of flexibility. The GPT integration is another highlight, as it feels very well implemented and naturally built into the platform. On top of that, the learning resources are solid. The documentation, the active Discord community for questions and discussion and the detailed YouTube training content all come together to create a very complete ecosystem around the tool.
Cons
Although the documentation is clear and fairly simple to use, there is still room to improve it especially by adding default values for certain settings or variables. We were able to uncover those during our own testing but they were not easy to locate through the documentation search.
