“powerful visuals and filters”

Pros

Visuals really help when analyzing the full picture especially the charts, story pages and geo maps. The date range filter is exactly what I needed and working with the modeler has been interesting as well. I've only used the free version so there are still a lot of features I haven't had the chance to test yet.

Cons

There are still a few limitations that stood out. Geo regions only support U.S. states and the 256-character limit for string values in the model is too restrictive since some of my fields are much larger. I also couldn't figure out how to create many-to-many relationships between models or dimensions within one model or how to add a dimension with several values for one model ID or use a measure as a distinct value. It would also be really helpful if the table in Story had expand and collapse functionality.

“Visual storytelling done right”

Pros

The standout for me is the visual side of the platform. Being able to upload a file containing thousands of values and then build the story step by step really helps bring the data to life. The geolocation features are excellent as well and the software feels very user friendly overall. The pop-up hints are especially helpful when working through things.

Cons

While using the free trial, I really haven't come across anything I dislike. If I had to point to one thing, it would be nice to see the regional geolocation option expanded beyond the U.S. I know coordinates can be used for that but having the same built-in option available for Europe would be a nice addition.

“Affordable connected reporting solution”

Pros

One thing that really works well here is the live connection support with a wide range of apps. The reporting tool feels very simple to use and the license price is also very reasonable.

Cons

At times, the interface can be a little slow. It would be even better if HANA Cloud could also be managed through a desktop tool.

“Helpful community driven software”

Pros

The features are really good and the community is a big plus. People are genuinely interested in helping solve problems and sharing updates and news. Thanks for that.

Cons

Since it's cloud-based, productivity can sometimes be affected by outside factors, such as a poor internet connection.

“missing BW authorization support”

Pros

Right away, the software gives off a pleasant look and feel. The range of chart options is also quite good, there's a nice variety to choose from, the speed seems fine and the connectivity features are great as well.

Cons

One thing I'm still missing is having authorizations pulled directly from BW. Based on what I read in the user forums, that doesn't seem to be possible at the moment. I'd definitely be glad to know if this might be supported or work in the future.

“Simple financial workflow sharing”

Pros

It gives us a convenient way to share every part of our financial information across all departments and it keeps our P.O. process running flawlessly.

Cons

Updates don't always go smoothly and when a new one rolls out, we sometimes have to call in to get the issues fixed.

“affordable auto updating solution”

Pros

One of the best parts is the pricing and the automatic updates make it even better. For a smaller company, it's a really great option that gives you a quality product at a price that fits the business well.

Cons

I haven't run into any downsides.
