“Best desktop tool for tricky data cleanups

Pros

The feature set it has is very powerful which makes single and double file deduplication a simple task. Also it handles a bunch of data formats and works really fast.

Cons

Some features were a bit tricky to set up at first but once I get the hang of it, I very much liked how detailed and customizable everything is.

It helps us easily mailsort jobs and does exactly what it promises without any trouble.

Cons

The interface is still way too complicated for our dispatch team to handle so right now only our developers are using it. Also the minimum cost for gone away or deceased data is pretty steep.

“Absolutely important for my work

Pros

Being able to set up my own custom searches instead of sticking to defaults is a game changer. Also multiple variable options let me fine tune searches depending on the quality of the data. It finds matches that I would have probably missed manually. And the newer MatchIT versions are way quicker and renewing every year is pretty easy. Plus their support team is very enthusiastic and helpful.

Cons

It sometimes feels a little too sensitive like the keyboard shortcuts often do not work right and I have to keep switching back to using the mouse.

Pros

We manage about 1.2 million data accounts across different fields and regularly send marketing mails. Plus keeping the lists free of duplicates is very important and MatchIT lets us handle these checks quickly and spot on.

Cons

Well it can take a good amount of time to process the files but honestly, that is what I expected mainly when working with massive data sets.

Pros

After spending almost eight years in the mailing industry, I can say that the MatchIT suite is by far the easiest and most user friendly tool I have come across.

No complaints as all as the software does exactly what I need it to do without any problems.

Pros

Setting up jobs is a walk in the park. Also data processing is lightning fast and the default reports are quite easy to understand right out of the box.

Cons

When working with really large data files, it can eat up quite a bit of system resources. And sometimes I have to run jobs a couple of times with different options to get complete results.

What we love is how simple it is to use while being packed with great features. Also we run MatchIT for automations and have never run into issues, even with massive data files. And speed has never been a problem either.

Cons

No major issues with the software at all. Overall I am pretty happy with the features and how it performs.

“Reliable for mailsort and data cleanup

Pros

It is the best for making mailsort files and bag tags. After a bit of training over the phone from MatchIT, I find it pretty easy to use too.

Cons

The only issue is that we still have not figured out a way to stop column headers from a CSV import from ending up in the mailsort data without going through a messy blacklisting process which is not ideal if those headers exist in the actual data.

“Still confused about how it cleans the data

Pros

Well it gets the job done but part of our task still involves checking addresses that the software could not verify which at times means manually going through thousands of records.

Cons

If you only have a postcode and house number, the system usually struggles to fill in or verify the rest of the address and if the address details are jumbled like house number after the street name, it does not catch it. Also extra spaces in fields seem to throw it off.

“Really happy with what we got for the price

Pros

This is a pretty handy tool if you are in the mailing business. Also if you are trying to save costs on mass mailings either for yourself or clients, it is definitely worth considering.

Cons

The design and overall feel of the app looks pretty outdated to me compared to newer software.

I find it pretty easy to use, delivers quick service and offers excellent value for the money.

It does not cover every single thing we need right now but overall, it is still a really solid product.

The software is clean and simple which helps us process and analyze our data both fast and accurately. Also we transfer specific variables between lists and it handles that flawlessly too.

When I am comparing really big lists against each other, the system can slow down a bit but it is manageable.

Talking about MatchITSQL, I will say it runs on-premises which is quite important for data isolation and legal compliance. It works with MS SQL Server taking advantage of what we already have. Plus it is deeply tied into SSIS which lets us create detailed custom setups. Support has been quite amazing too and consulting services helped us get up and running with almost no downtime. There is also a huge range of settings you can tweak.

Cons

I really think it would help to have more in depth documentation and some clear step by step tutorials or videos, especially to make the most of all the parameter settings in MatchIT SQL.

Pros

It is pretty simple and easy to work with. Plus it offers way more than what competing programs do and packs a lot of useful features that make it simple for us to handle tasks.

The latest version still has a few bugs hanging around that I noticed have not been fully ironed out yet.

“Not the best, but it works

Pros

HelpIT Systems gives excellent support even offering training courses when we needed. Plus the software itself is affordable and flexible. And the DPS allocation works way better than the external PAF supplier we used before.

I have no real issues to mention just the occasional little problem that pops up here and there.

Pros

We absolutely love it. It takes all the annoying little bits of SQL coding and automates them letting us spend our time actually thinking and programming instead of typing and searching for field names.

It did not play well with Citrix, so we had to do a custom setup. The workaround does the job too but it is not exactly easy for a new user to deal with.

The flexibility and open source style of the SQL version, along with the high-quality results, make it a great software for our work.

Well it is a little tricky for me at first to figure out how to adjust everything properly to get the best matching results mainly when you are dealing with different quality data sources.

Once I get the hang of the steps and settings for my deduplication jobs, everything becomes quick and easy to run.

Whenever we load in a new dataset it usually takes some tinkering around to find the ideal settings.

It gives us quick access to all the basic data processing features needed for bulk mailing jobs and you can easily grab extra paid services if needed.

Cons

Some really weird quirks like even simple tasks feel too complicated. Plus dealing with comma delimited files and basic things like ignoring a header row takes way too much effort with way too many conditions.
