“Fast coding with Tabnine”
Pros
Using it has helped me code faster without giving up privacy or legal peace of mind. Its reliability and enterprise-focused approach really stand out. The code completion is smart enough to offer anything from single-token suggestions to full multi-line blocks based on the context of the project and the recommendations get better over time by adapting to my coding habits, naming conventions and overall architecture. I also value how seriously it takes privacy and security, with local execution for instant completions plus optional cloud and team features that still stay under strict privacy controls. It feels less like a typing shortcut and more like a safer, smarter and more consistent way to build software.
Cons
It does very well when it comes to privacy, compliance and enterprise readiness but its AI still needs to become more capable, the pricing should be more flexible and the integrations could be deeper if it wants to truly keep up with or outperform competitors in daily development work. The removal of the free plan in 2025 is also a downside. That change makes it tougher for solo developers and students to get started so bringing back a limited free tier or at least a trial would make adoption much easier.

“Provides solid value”
Pros
As a developer, I get a lot of value from it in several areas. Its boilerplate reduction is especially useful for automating repetitive code patterns such as unit test setups and standard API configurations. The syntax navigation helps a lot too since it gives real-time suggestions for library-specific functions and cuts down how often I need to check documentation. Contextual logic completion is also practical when I'm writing more complex statements or loops because it picks up on existing patterns in the code. Another big plus is its language versatility which helps me stay productive across different environments thanks to its broad model training. Zero data retention is a major benefit as well because code snippets are processed ephemerally which matters a lot when working on sensitive projects. I also appreciate the vendor-agnostic approach, with reliable support across Git-based repositories and more than 40 IDEs. On top of that, the model flexibility stands out since I can switch between different underlying LLMs without disrupting my workflow.
Cons
At the same time, the free tier feels restrictive since the limited feature set in the basic version makes it less appealing for individual hobbyists compared with other AI coding assistants that offer more at no cost. Resource efficiency is another area that needs work because the local inference engine can consume a lot of CPU and RAM which is tough on anyone using mid-range hardware. The pricing structure could also be improved by adding something like a middle-tier plan or a pay-as-you-go option for independent developers who want chat features without having to pay for the full Enterprise package.
