Responsive support team and good collaboration features.

Pros:
There's an unusual simplicity in creating shareable documents with Confluence that makes collaboration among different departments easier. It also supports creating and saving multiple iterations of the same document. Confluence can also be strongly integrated with JIRA, which is quite useful for us.
Cons:
I didn't find it to be intuitive enough. There's a constant need for help from the support team (which is great) and the UI is very basic as well. Other similar products are better in this regard.

Confluence encourages sharing between professionals.

Financial Services

Pros:
They have an amazing team of professionals who know what they're doing and are available to help whenever needed. The software is reasonably priced and great for assembling a team and knowledge directory. It offers fair editing capabilities that I have used extensively to save time. The best thing about Confluence is that we didn’t have to make our documents from scratch when we switched to the software. All the existing documents we had in the usual formats were easily imported and just needed the bare minimum in terms of reformatting.
Cons:
Something as simple as moving the documents around could become a nightmare if you’re not careful. This is the only problem I have with this software since the documents just refuse to move sometimes and rarely end up where I want them. I have had to train myself to ‘remember’ to develop the structure before I even think of moving a document.

Confluence is a good option to assist with project management.

Financial Services

Pros:
Confluence is easy to operate. We didn't have to invest/spend extra to get our employees trained and that is a huge saving for an organization as large as ours. It reduced the amount of time and labor required to manage files and data for several projects. It is a cost-effective and durable software solution for project planning and risk management tasks.
Cons:
The software lags occasionally in terms of consistent performance. There's a helpful version control mechanism but it's not as stable as it needs to be.

Confluence offers good document organization tools but needs improvement.

Telecommunications

Pros:
Confluence has been particularly great for a growing business like ours since hundreds and hundreds of documents now have a central home. And we also have the ability to share based on permissions with other employees. The document organizing tools can be used in multiple ways. And since all the documents are available on a central platform, we can actually browse them and learn a thing or two about the better organization, for example. It goes a step further with version control, which unlocks a deeper level of document management.
Cons:
The version control might be the only thing setting it apart from the competition, since other than that, it barely offers anything different. There are random bugs still present to this date even after so many complaints. Confluence has a lot of potential and there’s no doubt about it. But they keep disappointing us by not adding even the simplest of features like improving their integration with third-party apps. If a certain app works for you that’s your luck, but if it doesn’t, just forget about making it work for you. For a paid product, I expect more quality.
