“worst experience I've ever had”

Pros

It used to be a solid platform before BCM One took over but now I can barely say anything positive about it.

Cons

Honestly, I rarely leave reviews but this has been one of the worst vendor experiences I've had. We had been with Flowroute since 2014 and things really went downhill in 2023 not long after BCM One acquired them. Support under BCM One has been terrible. Our customers were dealing with network problems and dropped calls and their team kept pointing the finger at our infrastructure. We lost weeks going back and forth with support, only to eventually learn the real problem was on their side involving AWS and overloaded load balancers. After that, we decided to move away from them but the porting process and communication turned out to be even more frustrating than the VoIP issues. It took more than three weeks to get all of our customers moved to Voxtelesys because of the way their porting team handled things. I would strongly recommend staying away from this platform as well as BCM One.

“disabled texting hurt my business”

Pros

The pricing is very competitive and there was a time when the customer support was actually really good too.

Cons

At this point, it has completely let my business down and I've already moved to another provider. I'm planning to port out any numbers I still have with Flowroute as soon as I can. We sent in our 10DLC registration for business texting 23 days ago and there still hasn't been any movement on our tickets. Our texting service has been shut off and that has led to major losses for our business.

“Solid pricing”

Pros

I found the portal easy to use and the pricing is pretty solid too. It worked well with our PBX without any connection problems and we now have several clients using the service.

Cons

Things really went downhill after the company changed from Intrado to BCMOne. Support has been terrible and the way they rolled out MFA/2FA seriously disrupted operations. The policies around it are awful too. When I tried to get help resolving the issue, no one helped and instead they threatened to shut off the service. It wasn't until I used foul language that I finally got their attention and now I've been flagged for that. They also charged my credit card without applying the payment to my account. Customer service has been terrible overall. I'm moving my numbers to VOXTELESYS. I finally managed to get help from the department that handles number port outs and that seems to have resolved my issues but only because they were concerned about losing the business. The "Lead VoIP Engineer" in tech support was useless.

“reliable calling and SMS”

Pros

Getting started was quick and we were able to begin using it almost immediately thanks to how simple the setup and day to day use are. We primarily depend on it for inbound and outbound calls, along with sending and receiving SMS and it plays a big role in our business since we rely heavily on telecommunications to stay connected with customers and partners.

Cons

Overall, we're happy with this software but there are times when support response feels a bit slow especially in situations where we need assistance right away.

“great uptime every time”

Pros

One thing that really stands out is the uptime. I honestly can't remember a single time when Flowroute was the reason something failed.

Cons

There's really nothing negative for me to add here. It has met every one of our requirements and in several areas it has gone beyond what we needed.

“convenient Slack integration”

Pros

Flowroute has been very dependable for us and I honestly can't remember any downtime on their end. Another big plus is the Slack integration which makes it really convenient to reach their team whenever an issue comes up.

Cons

The one thing we'd really like to see is a wider selection of international numbers available to use.

“Reliable DID management”

Pros

This has a user friendly interface and their team is approachable and quick to help whenever something comes up. Compared with other DID providers we've used before, their support has been much more responsive and useful. The step by step guidance makes handling tasks pretty easy and there's a solid amount of documentation available for all kinds of situations we might run into. On our side, Flowroute works well as a one stop place to buy, route and manage DIDs. They also offer extra services that we may decide to take advantage of later on.

Cons

A few parts of the server retirement process and self service administration can be a little unclear. The admin panel could definitely be organized in a more user friendly way. For example, updating payment methods is more frustrating than it should be. Still, it usually doesn't take long to find the answer in the documentation. As for server retirement, that's something that comes with these kinds of services anyway and it hasn't been a regular issue for us. We only had to go through it once while using Flowroute. Early on, we did run into some migration problems. The process is explained in the emails sent before retirement but the instructions could be more detailed. Even so, whenever problems came up, their staff responded quickly and helped us work through them.

Something that really stands out with this tool is the support team. They're always helpful and respond quickly whenever I reach out. On top of that I can't recall any significant downtime while using Flowroute which has been a big plus.

I really haven't run into any problems with them at all.

“quick setup”

Pros

Getting started was simple and the pay only for what you use pricing model is a big plus.

Cons

Billing reports work well overall but they could benefit from a few additional filtering options.
