“Handy second number on one device”
Pros
It lets you handle your phone activity while also having a second phone number on the same device which is really convenient.
Cons
Up to this point, everything has worked really well and I honestly haven't run into anything I dislike.

“wifi calling that just works”
Pros
The biggest advantage of this is being able to use the app over Wi Fi or mobile data without needing to carry a phone number. It fits really well into my daily routine and I genuinely enjoy using it every day.
Cons
One downside is that they only offer support for businesses, not for individual users. Other than that, the app is really very good.

“Helps me avoid scams”
Pros
Running a real estate agency, this gives me a separate number so I don't have to share my personal one for business. That extra layer helps a lot with avoiding scams and unwanted cold calls since I can screen calls before deciding to answer. It's also really useful for getting text messages from SMS marketing.
Cons
Every now and then, a glitch causes me to miss a call but it happens very rarely so overall I'm still very happy with it.

Its really convenient to have a phone number I can use directly from my laptop.

“handled our needs well”
Pros
Having a separate phone number for our business has been really useful and Google Voice handled that need well.
Cons
Getting everything set up at the beginning was a little challenging but I think that would probably happen with any service since creating a new phone number setup usually takes some effort.

“quick setup”
Pros
Getting started was very easy especially since I already had a Google email account. I also really appreciated how versatile it is and having different plan options made it simple to choose something that matched both my budget and the features I needed.
Cons
The part I liked least was having my number disconnected because of inactivity. Since I was just starting out with my business, I really wish that inactivity window had been a bit longer.

With nothing more than an internet connection, I can use this app and still get clear, reliable calls.

Most of my clients are based in the United States and the service is mainly geared toward free calling within the USA.

“voicemail access that really helps”
Pros
Being able to check voicemail through email on my laptop or read the transcript right in the app has been incredibly helpful. That kind of access makes a big difference for me.
Cons
What gets in the way is the name prompt on incoming calls. A lot of callers assume they've reached my voicemail and end up hanging up so I really think this feature should be optional.

“smart voicemail function”
Pros
It handles voicemail, receives text messages and lets me forward calls wherever I need them. I also appreciate that spam calls are automatically filtered out and silenced. Another big plus is that voicemail gets transcribed into text so I can read messages quickly instead of listening to them one by one.
Cons
Something to keep in mind is that you have to stay active with it or risk losing the number. If too much time passes without any calls, it sends reminders to make or answer one.

“Stong addition to our Google ecosystem”
Pros
It blends naturally with the whole Google ecosystem, works well across desktop and phone apps and the setup process is very quick.
Cons
In the end, the feature set feels fairly limited. Even a basic OVH phone line offers more telephony options and the contact view could be improved. For example, it's not possible to open a complete prospect record directly from this.
