Pros

Having the product and hardware unified makes central management really work well. Client setup and licensing can be adjusted however you need and there are plenty of options available. At times it gets a little more complex so outside support can be useful if you have access to it but most tasks are still fairly simple to manage. Moving from analog to IP phones was also a convenient process with this system.

Cons

I can't point to any real downsides.
