“simple to use”

Pros

Being able to bring a legacy codec into Teams, Zoom and similar platforms is a huge plus. It lets people who are used to making a single button call on a codec join a Teams or Zoom meeting without changing how they work. The software is very simple to use and there is almost no learning curve at all.

Cons

I really do not have any major complaints, other than the fact that it is not as widely known as Zoom or Teams.

“Reliable meetings”

Pros

This really deserves more attention than it gets. Even though it is not one of the most widely known apps, it offers a very user friendly experience along with plenty of useful options and settings. It is unfortunate that more everyday users do not use it and I suspect that is mostly because it does not come preinstalled on new devices. Still, it absolutely feels like it should. The meeting connection is stable, file sharing works well and conferencing overall is handled at a very high level.

Cons

The only downside is its limited popularity. If you want to chat or set up a meeting through it, you may end up waiting for other people to download and install the app first. Once they actually start using it though, it quickly becomes the platform people will want to keep using for future meetings.

“interface works well”

Pros

It feels like one of those platforms that has been thoughtfully built and well developed but it still needs a larger user base to really reach its full potential and keep improving even further. The interface works incredibly well and stays very simple yet it handles the job effectively and makes online meetings and webinars feel enjoyable.

Cons

App still is not widely used. When you invite someone to a Pexip conference call, there's a good chance they'll say they need to activate it, sign up or install it on their device because it isn't a common tool for most people yet.

“flexible licensing options”

Pros

Getting started was quick, the admin portal is easy to use and the flexible licensing is a big plus.

Cons

Only downside is that usage reporting could be more detailed and the current version does not allow exporting usage data.

“Top tier video quality”

Pros

The app is an exceptionally high quality video platform. It's my first choice when video really needs to work reliably across widely used apps like Google Meet and Microsoft Teams.

Cons

The video quality and feature set are best in class but it still misses a direct calling option. Everything revolves around VMRs instead of simply dialing in which feels limiting.

“many great integrations”

Pros

With most organizations now relying on three or more video conferencing platforms, it delivers strong ROI for anyone trying to connect a mixed VC setup like Cisco, Teams, Polycom and Avaya while keeping legacy video endpoints in place with cloud registrations. It supports Microsoft Teams and Google Hangouts integration and it also lets customers or vendors join right from their browsers. When you add recording and WebRTC security with no plug ins required, it becomes a well rounded solution that can pay for itself pretty quickly.

Cons

Even though it already works well with Teams and Hangouts, I'd still like to see Zoom interoperability added even if I understand that Zoom is one of their biggest competitors.

“Promising ongoing improvements”

Pros

Something I really appreciate is how the software keeps evolving with regular development in the existing version to fix bugs and introduce new features in upcoming releases. On top of that the continued work around integrations with other partners adds a lot of value and stands out as one of the most useful aspects of the platform.

Cons

When setting up conferences through Skype, there is a conference ID involved and right now the only way to search for that conference ID is by creating a local policy script. That means creating a local policy profile under Call Control > Policy Profiles, adding the script to the "Service configuration policy," and then applying that policy profile to the locations. It would be much better if upcoming releases could simplify this process and remove the need for that script.

“covers core features we needed”

Pros

It covers the core features you'd expect but the real advantage is the interoperability with both Microsoft Teams and Google Meet. That opens up more possibilities for anyone who wants premium video and audio quality, along with security and scalability, while still needing compatibility with two of the most widely used platforms.

Cons

Compared with Cisco Webex and Zoom it naturally comes with fewer built in tools for webinars and classroom style sessions though that mainly matters if those features are essential to your use case.

“HTML5 version works well across devices”

Pros

One thing I really appreciate is that there's no need to install any software on the computer. The HTML5 version works well, looks the same in the browser and on mobile devices and it's supported by most browsers.

Cons

Something I'd like improved is the gallery view for larger meetings. When there are a lot of people on a call, it would be helpful to see more than 8 video tiles at once.

“solid reliability and security”

Pros

Both the cloud service and the self hosted Infinity platform have been extremely dependable and very well supported. The service quality is consistently excellent and Pexip really goes the extra mile to keep everything running securely and without interruption. When customers do run into problems, about 99.8% of the time it turns out to be related to the end user or the customer's own network rather than the service itself.

Cons

Since the priority is clearly on reliability and security, the out of the box features feel fairly minimal and don't develop very quickly. It's basically a trade off between having a very stable platform and getting faster feature growth.

“Pexip Connect review”

Pros

I value this software as it has always had a solid purpose, with a clear foundation that feels quite innovative. On top of that its roots go all the way back to the early days of video conferencing as a service, through both product and software development. That long standing knowledge, combined with a real passion for innovation, is what really sets them apart.

Cons

Compared with a lot of competitors, it is not as packed with features. That seems to come more from their high standards and their habit of focusing on where the market genuinely needs value which has consistently been their approach. Because they pay such close attention to detail, they tend to release things only when they are fully ready and after the impact has been carefully defined and measured.

“reliable multi location video meetings”

Pros

Our team has had a really good experience with this meeting tool. It lets us set up meetings across multiple locations at the same time and the video streaming quality stays consistently high.

Cons

A stable internet connection is definitely necessary. All computers and system configurations need to be on the same connection and the network setup can be quite complex if you want the streaming to perform well.

“Dependable HD video across platforms”

Pros

Connecting between Skype, Teams, Hangouts, Polycom and Cisco has been smooth. The HD video quality is excellent, cloud security adds peace of mind and the QR code scan to start video calls is a really convenient touch. It's simple, dependable and consistently works the way it should.

Cons

I don't have any complaints. It really just works exactly as expected every time.

“Support is easy to reach”

Pros

Its super simple to get this product up and running. The monitoring is a big step up compared with other products I've used and managed and support is easy to reach whenever it's needed.

Cons

Like most products in this category, it is fairly expensive. Beyond that, there's very little not to like although there's always room for further improvements and added functionality.

“efficient tool”

Pros

One thing that really works well is the connectivity with SfB and other SIP based video platforms. We were able to place calls to our VRMs and from there the VRMs could automatically dial the hardware video endpoints which made the whole setup very practical and efficient.

Cons

Honestly I couldn't think of any real downside based on what this product is supposed to do. It delivers well for its intended purpose.

Pros

A big plus is how well it works with a wide range of other video platforms. It's very simple to use, lets me join from different devices without hassle and content sharing works really well too.

Cons

It simply works as expected and I couldn't really point to any real issues.
