Tracks the complete customer journey

Pros

One of the best things about it is that it lets me track the entire customer journey from start to finish.

Cons

There are a few minor mapping issues and the initial setup can be a bit complex.

Connects online activity to revenue

Pros

Ruler connects our online activity with offline results which helps us make much more informed decisions about our marketing. Overall it has been a real game changer for our team and has become a core part of our daily analysis. Support is also consistently quick to respond and overall it's a great piece of technology.

Cons

A few smaller issues, like the 90-day limit for analyzing data, have already been improved in the new UI. That said I'd still appreciate a bit more guidance and onboarding instead of having to figure so much out on my own.

Real data replaces guesswork budgets

Pros

It has helped us make far more informed choices with our marketing strategy. It tracks form fills, phone calls from both online and offline sources and even web chat conversations. We can now clearly see which paid campaigns and keywords are generating the most revenue compared to spend which means we're able to manage our PPC budgets using real data instead of guesswork.

Cons

It's a small issue but setting it up and connecting it to Salesforce would be easier if there was a simple installer. That said I understand not every customer uses Salesforce.

Solved attribution modeling behind scenes

Pros

Our attribution modeling issues were finally solved with this platform. It runs everything behind the scenes without needing any manual input which has been a huge help. The data is available whenever we need it and the integrations with Google, Bing, HubSpot and others work very well. On top of that, the account manager is very responsive and always willing to help.

Cons

There are times when�it�feels a bit slow and user access rights currently have to be managed through the account manager.

Pros

You get precise details about leads and revenue and it also correctly shows which pages on your website are getting the most visibility.

Cons

At times the website hangs which is fairly normal though the UI could still be improved further.

Dashboard shows real traffic sources

Pros

The dashboard is genuinely useful especially for seeing which channels are bringing traffic to the website. That kind of visibility really matters when you're working with paid sources. Pricing also feels fair for what it offers.

Cons

One downside is that�it�can be slow to load and the dashboard speed can sometimes be an issue.

call tracking made simple

Pros

One of the best parts is how simple it is. It takes something as complex as call tracking and makes it easy to set up. The webhooks also send data to our central reporting system almost instantly.

Cons

Having access to a complete API and not only webhooks, would make�it�even more useful. Also, static numbers currently have to be ordered through a submitted form so�it�would be much better if users could provision those themselves directly in�it.

Changed our business with insights

Pros

Ruler Analytics has really changed the way we approach our business. The tracking is accurate and the analytics give us the kind of insight we need to make smarter, data-backed decisions and fine-tune our marketing in ways we couldn't before. We've been extremely happy with the outcome and would absolutely recommend it.

full view of every submission call available

Pros

Getting a full view of every form submission and phone call is genuinely eye-opening. Being able to track the source, call duration and the pages someone visited before converting adds a level of detail that's incredibly valuable. I've worked with Ruler on and off for around 15 years and whenever we've used it, it has been hugely beneficial for my clients. It really highlights which referring sources are performing best and gives useful direction for broader digital marketing decisions. For any lead generation business, it's an essential tool.

Cons

The biggest challenge is often getting clients to actually use the data as often and as deeply as they should. Securing that level of buy-in can take some effort. That said if you stick with�it, the insights and results are absolutely worth�it.
