“helpful compliance measures”
Pros
Right from the start, the platform felt great to use and its pretty simple to navigate. Once the verification was completed, setting up numbers and configuring call forwarding was pretty easy. I also really appreciate the security and compliance measures because they make the service feel dependable and well suited for business use.
Cons
There were a few extra steps during the verification process at the beginning but honestly that turned into a positive since it shows that they take security and compliance seriously.

“dependable real time field messaging”
Pros
Keeping in touch with our field teams has been much better with this. We can share photos and other updates almost in real time which has made it a very effective solution for us.
Cons
Honestly, there's not much to complain about. It's stable, problems are rare and the only minor downside is that the new portal takes a bit of time to get familiar with.

“API is solid”
Pros
During our WebRTC JS SDK rollout for browser based calling, the software's technical support was easily the standout. Their team played a huge role in helping us work through a major blocker and the difference was that they clearly understood the product at a technical level instead of just following a script. The guidance they gave was specific, practical and fast enough to keep implementation moving. The API itself is solid but the high quality support is what really made it workable for us.
Cons
One frustration early on was that parts of the public documentation and some CDN links for the WebRTC SDK were out of date. That created unnecessary confusion and cost us time while chasing down a ReferenceError that turned out to be caused by a broken link rather than our code. Keeping the documentation and hosted links better maintained would make the initial developer experience much better.

“wide number coverage”
Pros
There's definitely a solid range of services available, plus access to local numbers in different countries. On top of that the pricing feels reasonable.
Cons
The approval process for numbers took longer than expected which got in the way of doing a quick test. Still, I understand that it's probably in place for security reasons.

“impressive human like AI assistant”
Pros
Just after signing up for this, I jumped into the AI Assistant. I honestly wasn't expecting it to deliver agent support that felt this close to talking with a real person. On top of that there's a wide selection of models available, including ones built directly into this software and others you can connect through an API. It also supports integrations with other voice providers like ElevenLabs although at the moment I'm still exploring the voices that come with Telnyx itself.
Cons
In the beginning, tracking down the usage history for each AI Assistant call I tested was a little confusing. It took more effort than I expected especially as someone new to the platform. That said, Aatif from the chat support team was very helpful and made the process much easier.

“call quality is great”
Pros
Integrating the APIs went pretty well, the call quality has been consistently good and it offers a lot of value for the money.
Cons
Getting everything set up at the beginning came with a few hiccups. I ran into issues with the verification system and needed help from support to get past it although they were very helpful. Beyond that, there's also the expected complexity that comes with digitizing phones and handling the integrations so this isn't really something you just plug in and use without real setup work.

“reliable SIP trunking value”
Pros
After moving our business to this, our communications have improved noticeably. Call quality stays consistently clear and we haven't had any downtime thanks to their dependable private network. A big advantage is the Mission Control Portal. It's user friendly and gives us complete control over our phone numbers and call routing. We're able to manage the whole setup and track usage in real time which has made everyday operations much more efficient. The pay as you go pricing is fair and transparent and it has helped us save money. On the few occasions we needed assistance, the support team was responsive and knew exactly how to help. Telnyx delivers a powerful, user friendly solution that I'd confidently recommend to any business looking for a reliable and cost effective VoIP provider.
Cons
Up to this point, I really haven't run into any major problems and I'm happy with how everything has worked. The only small issue I had was configuring it with the Bria softphone but that was resolved.

“developer first voice API win”
Pros
Building around a developer first platform has easily been the biggest advantage. The Voice API is extremely capable and clearly documented which let us plug it in without friction as the main telephony layer for our custom, self hosted AI agent. Managing call flows through webhooks works really well and important security pieces like signature validation made it an ideal fit for our more complex event driven setup.
Cons
The documentation is excellent for the core functionality but it took a bit longer to track down details for troubleshooting some of the more advanced webhook behavior and AI related commands. The portal offers a lot of power though with so many features available, locating certain settings can come with a small learning curve for first time users.

“flexible routing capabilitie”
Pros
Telnyx has been a really strong option for SIP trunking and messaging APIs especially with its excellent uptime and ability to scale as needed. The pricing is much more affordable compared to Twilio which makes a noticeable difference. Their support team is also knowledgeable and quick to respond when help is needed. One thing we've especially appreciated is how fast it is to provision and manage multiple numbers, along with the flexibility it gives us for call routing.
Cons
A few of the features do take a stronger technical background to use effectively so getting started could be challenging for non developers.

“Portal is simple to use”
Pros
Getting SMS up and running with this has been a really positive experience. At this point I've only integrated the messaging side but it has been dependable and consistently fast. It's portal is simple to use and the API documentation is clear enough that the integration process felt quick and fairly hassle free. I also value being able to see delivery statuses clearly and watch logs in real time which makes troubleshooting and monitoring much easier. The platform has felt stable overall and message delivery has stayed consistent even for time sensitive alerts. On top of that their support team has replied promptly whenever I've had questions which makes me feel confident about expanding into more features later on.
Cons
Biggest gap I've run into is the absence of native WhatsApp integration. The SMS functionality works very well but built in WhatsApp support would add a lot of value especially for communicating with users in markets where WhatsApp is the main channel people prefer. As omnichannel communication becomes more of a priority, not having that option natively could make it harder to build broader engagement strategies without bringing in extra third party tools.

“solid voice API for custom agents”
Pros
Their Voice API works really well and has been a big help in building custom production ready agents.
Cons
There hasn't been much to complain about so far since the features solve a lot of problems but buying a local number in India is one area that could be improved.

“helpful support team”
Pros
Support was really helpful and the overall experience was positive. There were just a few areas that could have been better, as mentioned below.
Cons
The document approval process wasn't very clear and ended up taking a bit longer than I expected. Once support stepped in and helped though, everything turned out fine.

“well thought out design”
Pros
It has honestly been a really pleasant surprise. The platform feels user friendly, getting everything set up is quick and the whole experience comes across as well designed and thoughtfully put together.
Cons
It does have a few limitations around Portuguese numbers which is pretty common with a lot of providers but even with that, the overall experience has still been very positive.

“standout support”
Pros
Six years in, this software has proven to be one of the most dependable providers we've worked with. Their telephony platform has kept pace with our growth without any trouble and it continues to power our SMS based injury tracking solution reliably. On the development side, the APIs are clear, stable and well documented which has made integration and maintenance much easier. The customer support team has also been a huge plus. They're responsive, informed and consistently proactive whenever we need help. In a space where support is often treated as secondary, Telnyx has shown a real commitment to its customers. If you need a provider that delivers both solid performance and a true sense of partnership, Telnyx absolutely lives up to that.
Cons
At this point, there really aren't any meaningful downsides for us to call out after six years with this. The platform has continuously met our needs and expanded right along with our business. Every interaction with both the Sales and Technical Support teams has been timely, helpful and centered on making sure we succeed. Their customer service has been exceptional throughout, with people who regularly go above and beyond to answer questions, clear up concerns and offer support before problems ever grow. In an industry where service can feel distant or transactional, Telnyx has made us feel like a valued partner and that has kept the entire experience stress free. We've been very happy with the service and that confidence has only strengthened over time.

“great cost effective tool”
Pros
This powers the voice and messaging features in our SaaS product really well. Its API gives us solid control over call flows and messaging at scale and the usage based pricing model makes costs much more predictable. The platform feels very developer friendly, while still being practical for operations and compliance teams too. We've saved a lot compared to our previous provider without giving up functionality or uptime.
Cons
Getting started with more advanced features such as elastic SIP trunking or global routing could be better supported with step by step walkthroughs. Also, a few edge case error messages aren't very clear unless support helps explain them.

“Smooth workflows”
Pros
Getting everything up and running was easy and the support team feels genuinely human. They were available all the time even over the weekend which I really appreciated and the platform fits perfectly into my existing workflows.
Cons
There are a few verification steps you need to complete before you can use every feature. That said, with constant help from customer support, everything was sorted out within four days so the overall experience was very positive.

“powerful CPaaS with global reach”
Pros
The software packs in a wide range of features and customization options and the pricing is solid for what you get. It's also quite easy to log issues and debug and the global reach is a big advantage. From everything we evaluated on our side, it stands out as one of the most powerful CPaaS platforms.
Cons
Support can be hit or miss at times, both in accuracy and response speed and the documentation doesn't always match the current UI. Most of these feel like smaller growing pains though. The platform still gives the impression of being a work in progress in some areas but overall it still feels worth being their customer.

“my experience with Telnyx Suite”
Pros
Running a WhatsApp based SaaS for payment reminders means we need local numbers in as many countries as possible to serve customers worldwide. We tested Twilio first but it only supported a limited number of countries for our use case and ended up being more expensive. It asked for more founder verification and additional business documents and their L2 verification took a few days because of government requirements in many countries for purchasing local numbers. Once that process was completed though, it became very convenient for us to get and manage numbers across more than 30 countries.
Cons
Nothing major comes to mind aside from the verification taking a bit of time at the beginning. That said, once it was completed, the uncertainty disappeared and I can see why the process isn't instant since it involves manual checks to confirm that the business is legitimate and not a spam operation.

“connects easily with many platforms”
Pros
Having both CPaaS and SIP trunking in one platform gives a lot of flexibility. It's simple to scale communications quickly and the APIs make it simple to connect with multiple platforms. The documentation is helpful and support has been reliable too.
Cons
The setup interface might be too complex if you're just getting started. It can take a while to fully understand everything the tools are capable of.

“Worthwhile switch”
Pros
Switching to this has been worthwhile because the pricing is very attractive especially if you're planning to use it for messaging over the long run. Once everything was set up, the platform ran reliably. There are a few bumps to expect early on but the savings really do make a difference once you're fully up and running.
Cons
Getting started felt a lot clunkier than Twilio especially during onboarding. The compliance approval process took longer than expected and right away all of our outbound messages were being rejected. Support initially sent generic responses which dragged the issue out more than it should have. It did get resolved in the end though.
