“persistent audio failures”

Pros

On the plus side, it has competitive pricing, flexible APIs and a lot of detailed configuration options. It brings WebRTC, SIP trunking, call control, recordings and diagnostics together in one platform and the portal gives substantial control over call routing and media settings.

Cons

It's biggest issue was audio reliability. I ran into one way audio, calls getting stuck before they even started dialing and outbound audio that turned robotic or became heavily degraded. The same behavior showed up from two separate sources, Chrome WebRTC and an ElevenLabs SIP trunk, once calls hit the mobile network. Troubleshooting took a lot of time and involved constant configuration changes. Some of the support replies also didn't line up with the actual integration, for instance, I was given guidance about bidirectional WebSocket media streaming even though my setup was using a direct SIP trunk. What I really needed was a clear breakdown of the negotiated codecs, transcoding, packet loss, jitter and PSTN termination route but I never got a timely root cause resolution.

“clean interface”

Pros

Right away, the platform feels easy to move around in. Whenever I need to test a new application, I can purchase US phone numbers instantly without any hassle. SMS delivery is dependable and the voice calls come through clearly and consistently without bugs.

Cons

Coming back after a long break, the payment setup felt a bit confusing. I ran into an error with both my debit card and PayPal so I ended up reaching out to the support team to get it sorted out.

“frustrating signup process”

Pros

Having access to phone numbers from my own country is a big advantage especially for running an AI voice agent with a local number for business. Most other providers usually only offer US and Canada numbers for AI voice agents so this is something I really value here.

Cons

At the same time, getting a phone number has been much harder than expected. I'm still trying to complete the purchase and haven't been able to do it yet. I'm also waiting for a response and the delay has been disappointing.

“Excellent SIP tools”

Pros

Compared with other VoIP providers I've used, this one has been more affordable, the call quality has been solid and the SIP debugging tools are especially useful. I had trouble connecting an external SIP server and being able to use the SIP debugging tools right from the dashboard let me follow the call flow step by step.

Cons

The account onboarding process does take a bit of time which is somewhat understandable since it requires a manual review but once that part is done, everything runs well.

“fairly priced platform”

Pros

Getting started on the platform feels pretty simple and the interface is clear enough that most people should be able to find their way around without much trouble. It makes a strong first impression and the documentation gives the sense that the product is quite capable. It looks like it can deliver solid value once everything is fully configured. The pricing seems reasonable and the feature set is strong even though the unclear onboarding process makes it difficult to tell what the actual final cost will be in practice.

Cons

Where things become difficult is with onboarding and support. The verification process feels inconsistent and when issues come up, getting proper help is not very easy. That lack of clarity makes the early stages feel unstable even though the product itself still comes across as promising.

“powerful features”

Pros

The platform comes with a wide range of mature features and capabilities that make it a very powerful product to use. On top of that the customer support has been reliable and helpful.

Cons

A few features do require hosting your own code to take advantage of them but aside from that, I haven't really run into any meaningful issues with the product or service.

“quick response time by support”

Pros

Any time an issue comes up, their team has been there with 24/7 support. They respond quickly and actually help us out. The team comes across as knowledgeable and professional and they're consistently ready to jump in when needed. On top of that the platform has been dependable, with solid documentation and stable APIs that make integrations easier.

Cons

One part that can be frustrating is how long approvals take for certain features especially when setting up new services or moving to different account levels. It can hold up project timelines since access to specific tools or numbers sometimes depends on manual reviews and compliance checks.

“amazing team behind the product”

Pros

Their support has been fantastic. They were the only provider that actually responded to my emails about a rejected campaign and they kept helping me for two weeks until it finally got approved.

Cons

Some of the terminology in the dashboard is a little confusing at first and it took me a few hours to get familiar with it but after that it became pretty simple.

“simple to setup”

Pros

Choosing this platform made sense because Unifi Talk already had a configuration profile ready for it so getting everything set up was very simple. When I asked for new inbound numbers in my area, they were quick to respond even though those numbers were not available at first and I ended up getting some really good, memorable ones. The pricing has also been very worthwhile and I'll be saving money compared with my previous provider.

Cons

There was a problem with one of the inbound numbers and it took some time to get sorted out. Support was a bit slow at the beginning but once they figured out what was causing it, they kept me updated every day until everything was fully resolved.

“Supports custom integrations”

Pros

Right away, the customer support team stood out for being responsive, helpful and genuinely available when needed. Pricing is competitive and transparent which made planning a lot simpler. The platform is also very flexible and supports custom integrations for both sending and receiving SMS so we were able to build exactly what our customers needed.

Cons

Only challenge is getting familiar with all the available features and integration options but the documentation and support team do a good job of making that learning process manageable.

“user friendly platform”

Pros

From the start, it has felt user friendly and dependable. The dashboard is tidy, simple to move around in and makes it easy to handle numbers, calls and messages. One of the best parts has been the support team as they reply fast and consistently give clear, useful answers. Setup and integration also went very well and the platform works exactly the way I expect it to.

Cons

From time to time, the documentation could be more detailed around some advanced features but the support team balances that out by offering quick, accurate help whenever it's needed.

“I highly recommend Telnyx”

Pros

There's a huge set of tools available and everything works exactly as it should. Even minor issues get resolved quickly through the support team. I'd definitely recommend the platform.

Cons

I really didn't run into anything to dislike. It does take a bit of time to get familiar with all the tools and settings but that's pretty normal for this kind of platform.

“solid API”

Pros

Getting everything up and running was quick, the SMS pricing is competitive and the support team has been very responsive whenever needed. The dashboard is well designed and the API access is comprehensive with clear, well documented resources.

Cons

“competitive pricing is great”

Pros

Running a 24/7 voice service with thousands of users means reliability matters a lot and it has been very dependable for that kind of high volume use. Their technical support is also responsive and extremely capable. When I ran into a tricky SIP session timer problem, Ilja reviewed my traces and gave me a clear explanation within just a few hours. Pricing is competitive which makes planning costs much easier. The documentation is also detailed enough for developers who need to get deep into SIP configuration specifics.

Cons

A few of the more advanced settings, such as session timer behavior, are not immediately clear in the portal and ended up requiring help from support to sort out. It would be better to have stronger self service diagnostic tools and clearer documentation for edge cases especially around Asterisk and FreeSWITCH interoperability. Still, whenever I needed help, the support team came through.

“reliable SIP connections”

Pros

Reliable SIP connections and a broad selection of international phone numbers make it simple and efficient to scale. The setup process goes smoothly and the support team has been outstanding. They're quick to respond, friendly and consistently helpful.

Cons

At first, the dashboard can seem a bit overwhelming because there are so many features packed into it but after spending some time with it, it becomes quite easy.

“support is basically nonexistent”

Pros

The IoT SIM card and SIP signaling perform reliably and the API documentation looks solid. It would be even better if it were actually possible to make use of the API features.

Cons

Trying to get help from Telnyx has been a dead end. Nobody responds to the "contact us" form on their website and calling the customer support number doesn't get you anywhere either. At best, you can leave a voicemail but they don't follow up on it or return the call.

“easy to integrate”

Pros

Integrating this into our existing workflows was surprisingly quick because the APIs fit in so well. The documentation is clear, the setup is quick and the whole process felt far smoother than with other providers I've used. We connected our systems and started seeing results fast which really highlights how usable and developer friendly the platform is. It's also reliable and flexible so we feel confident scaling our communications without adding unnecessary complexity. Very few tools offer this level of capability while still being so simple to implement and this manages to do both.

Cons

Because the platform includes so many powerful features, it can take a bit of time to fully understand everything that's available. Still, that learning curve is made much easier by the excellent documentation and responsive support so the process ends up feeling worthwhile rather than frustrating. Once you become familiar with the ecosystem, the amount of flexibility and control you get is impressive.

“responsive support team”

Pros

Whenever I reach out in Telnyx chat, a real person answers instead of a bot which makes a big difference. The platform is simple to work with and the range of features and options feels more complete than Twilio. Being able to transfer my Skype number over without any hassle was probably the biggest win for me.

Cons

So far, I really haven't run into anything I dislike. It's simple to use and the support team has been consistently patient and genuinely helpful whenever I've needed them.

“Simple to work with”

Pros

From a developer standpoint, this platform has been very dependable and simple to work with. The API documentation is thorough, the dashboard feels user friendly and provisioning numbers or setting up services usually happens without unnecessary delays. Pricing is clear and the worldwide coverage is a big advantage.

Cons

Getting started can take a little time especially if telecom concepts are new to you. A few of the more advanced features would be easier to adopt with more plug and play tutorials to help speed up onboarding.

“VoIP service has been excellent”

Pros

The interface is really well done and the VoIP service has been excellent. Whenever something comes up, the technical support team is very responsive and helpful and they resolve issues quickly.

Cons

What could be better is the website documentation since it is not always fully up to date. Other than that, I have nothing else to complain about at this point.
