“Quick setup”
Pros
Getting started with it was very simple and the overall interface is also quite simple to use.
Cons
It would be better to have more options for defining changes to the different values that come from Communication Manager. For now, we're managing with the standard values.

“Helpful 360 view”
Pros
The 360 view works really well and the tile-based setup makes adding new devices quick to implement.
Cons
There's more than one way to provision devices and at times it feels like Smacs doesn't fully make use of that flexibility. I'd also like to see deeper integration with other Cisco products such as Quality Management so it can function as a true end-to-end call center provisioning tool.

“smooth integration”
Pros
Right from the start, the product was very simple to use and the integration process went smoothly because Stack8 customized it to match our environment and specific needs.
Cons
Our business processes are fairly complex so any challenges came from our side rather than from the product itself.

“Friendly interface”
Pros
The user-friendly interface cuts down the need for deep system knowledge which made it possible for us to expand Unified Communications device administration to site administrators. On top of that, SMACS centralizes number plan management and that has been essential for resolving end-user requests much faster.
Cons
It would be better to have more granular access privileges so there's finer control over what each team or individual is allowed to do in the system after access is granted.

“worked well for our needs”
Pros
At the end of the day, the app did what we needed it to do. It wasn't the most polished or flashy product and it had the occasional error here and there but it still worked and I was happy with it overall.
Cons
the app relied on dependencies that could break things without any error handling in place which really shouldn't have happened. For example, when browser versions changed, our app would stop working. Definitely not ideal.

“Reliable upgrades”
Pros
Upgrading and making changes is simple and the software consistently loads without many issues.
Cons
When adding a DID to the block, there's no way to verify it beforehand so you only find out something's wrong after the change fails.

“Useful for junior analysts”
Pros
Junior analysts can handle MACs with ZIRO without needing deep CUCM knowledge which makes those tasks much more accessible.
Cons
That said, depending on the type of change, we still occasionally have to go into CUCM to tweak certain parameters before the MAC can be fully completed.

“Highly recommended!”
Pros
It has been more than just software to us, it's a company that manages unified communications technology and they've been incredibly helpful throughout. Whenever we run into an issue, they're always there to support us and handle whatever problem we bring to them. Their team is very professional and I'd confidently recommend them to anyone.
Cons
There really isn't anything I'd point to for improvement. It has consistently responded to our needs efficiently every time.

“Centralized solution”
Pros
Having one central place to handle most user changes has been really helpful. There's still a lot more for me to learn whenever time allows but overall it's been a good experience.
Cons
I'm still figuring out the AD and Unity connection for voicemails and I'm trying to determine whether the issue is on my side or if something isn't working the way it should. As mentioned, I'm still learning the system and haven't had as much time as I expected to really dig into it.

“Amazing global phone management”
Pros
Managing phones and Jabber deployments with it has been really simple. It makes it simple to move phones between locations and set them up as common phones. With SNR configuration and a few UCCX options, it works well as a global management solution. The interface is clean and simple to work with. Auditing is solid, change logs are useful and the user admin restrictions by site and location are a big plus. The latest Microsoft integration also makes migrating and managing Microsoft Teams accounts and users much more convenient. Software upgrades are also simple to handle.
Cons
The only thing I've consistently wished for is some built-in CDR logging and reporting tools included with the product.

“cooperative support team”
Pros
Handling simple changes with it works really well and the support team has been very helpful whenever needed.
Cons
It still doesn't support hunt group changes and it won't let a device pool be shared across multiple sites. In our campus environment, that limitation has created some frustration. Also, the training is only provided through videos, with no written documentation available so I ended up creating my own.
