Aerotrac Features
Hangar Project Management
This feature enables users to create detailed hangar projects for both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks across all aircraft types. Each project is assigned a unique task reference number, ensuring traceability and efficient management of maintenance activities. Projects can include aircraft modifications, incorporating STCs and approved design changes.
Technical Documentation Integration
The software supports industry-standard, configurable technical documentation (work-packs) for scheduled tasks and unscheduled defects. Users can integrate their own standard MS Office technical documentation, PDFs, images, etc., as part of the standard work pack 'Print Pack' option, facilitating seamless documentation management.
Inspection Workbench Function
The platform offers an Inspection Workbench function for hangar floor integration, enabling users to electronically requisition parts, request in-house or sub-contractor rework, raise defects, update work carried out, and control processing of robberies. This function streamlines the inspection and maintenance workflow, enhancing operational efficiency.
Defect Reporting For Reliability
Aerotrac includes integrated defect reporting for reliability, allowing users to report and track defects systematically. This feature aids in identifying recurring issues, facilitating root cause analysis, and improving overall reliability and safety of the fleet.
Component Log For Maintenance Status
The Component Log is a calendar-based tool that forecasts the lifecycle of components and LLPs, highlighting key indicators such as scrap due dates, overhaul requirements, and inspection intervals. This allows users to proactively manage airworthiness and material planning, reducing the risk of delays or compliance breaches.

“all-in-one operations powerhouse”
Pros
Having everything in one place is Aerotrac's biggest advantage. Its full functionality really stands out because it can manage nearly every part of the business under one roof and that's easily its strongest selling point.
Cons
Once you really know your way around the system, this becomes less of a problem. But during the learning phase, there are far too many steps involved just to complete fairly simple tasks. The Project Builder is a good example.. getting to the stage where you can actually create projects feels unnecessarily drawn out. That process should be simplified a lot and it would be even better if it were moved into the main Aerotrac program to cut down on the long wait times.

“Essential for daily operations”
Pros
After 9 years of using this software, I've watched it develop into something that has become increasingly important to how we run and manage the business every day. As our company has grown and matured, Tracware has been very supportive making sure the software keeps evolving at the right pace and giving us the tools we need to manage all of our processes and systems effectively. The engineer job scanning is especially useful since it provides instant updates on the progress of customer units and makes overall oversight very simple.
Cons
I don't have any major complaints about the system overall. Whenever we've identified an area that needed to improve to keep up with industry standards and match our requirements, Aerotrac has responded quickly and adapted accordingly.

“workshop and parts control”
Pros
Handling workshop projects has been really helpful and the parts management side works well too. Re-ordering parts is also a useful feature and makes staying on top of inventory much more manageable.
Cons
The calibration module feels a little buggy to use and not having access to the Quality module is definitely a limitation.
