Easy for 1000+ pieces of equipment

Pros

Handling upkeep for more than 1,000 pieces of equipment turned out to be much easier thanks to this platform. Its layout is very easy to use and I was clicking through various features without any issue. Everything feels natural which improved my daily workflow considerably.

Cons

I had to tweak the reports a bit to produce the output I needed but mostly that was on me as I learned how it works.

great tracking but frustrating to use

Pros

the tracking capabilities and the reporting tools, they make monitoring so much easier. My team finds submitting work orders easy and the notification system reliably keeps everyone in the loop about progress. Equipment logging is excellent , I can track every detail from beginning to end and check the full work history plus who handled each job. Using photos and asset tags makes identifying items simple. The dropdown menus let me pinpoint exactly which equipment needs attention. What I especially like is how the PM module ties preventive maintenance to a single asset or entire groups.

Cons

Being unable to delete duplicate work orders drives me nuts when I'm trying to keep things organized. The equipment area feels awkward and clumsy to use, so finding what I need isn't interactive. In the facilities section where I map equipment, I'm forced to enter the same information repeatedly which is a huge time sink. I don't really see why the software asks for some of the fields it does and when I complete line items they often fail to link correctly to the other sections I'm supposed to associate them with. Honestly, those associations just don't function the way they should.

good reports but missing photos

Pros

I've found the work order request feature to be exactly what our team needed. It meets our reporting needs flawlessly and provides all the information we expect. I haven't dug deeply into the other tools yet but the parts we're using so far perform really well.

Cons

I can't attach photos to work order requests right now and that would really improve clarity when reporting issues. Also, our inventory module doesn't automatically create vendor orders when stock reaches reorder points, so I'm forced to monitor levels and place purchases manually.

Easy access with a 50 order limit

Pros

I find accessing the work orders extremely simple and really convenient.

Cons

Viewing every work order at once isn't possible , I'm stuck seeing only the first 50 and then I have to click through pages to load more.

Has some issues

Pros

I really like having the ability to sift through everything and find what I need quickly. Being able to export to Excel is brilliant, because it lets me bring the data into a spreadsheet and use all the sorting and filtering options there to arrange my information exactly the way I prefer.

Cons

Unfortunately, I can't work out how to remove older entries , there doesn't seem to be an option to delete multiple records at once or to flag everything before a chosen date as completed which makes tidying up historical data a real headache for me.

Simple nav with no mobile site

Pros

I find moving around this system very easy and the layout stays clean so I'm not bombarded with unnecessary clutter. It all feels interactive when I'm hunting down particular tools and because I have admin rights I can effectively keep tabs on activity across the whole platform.

Cons

I can't get the full site to function on mobile devices , at least none of the phones or tablets I use seem to work with it. From my admin perspective, trying to implement even basic changes and deploy them across every application ends up being much more cumbersome than it ought to be.

Fast start with a rough interface

Pros

Perfect for what we needed

Pros

Getting started was very easy and the Hippo team's support was outstanding in helping everything run smoothly. It suits our company's needs really well , tracking all maintenance tasks feels simple and moving around the interface is also very easy.

Cons

There isn't much I can fault with this tool. In my daily use I haven't faceed issues, and it checks all the boxes I need. If I had to pick one improvement, it would be broader support for additional web browsers that enhancement would make it even more convenient.

easy to run after setup

Pros

What impresses me is how easy it is to use. I experienced almost no difficulty when I got started. After I upload all my equipment and PMs, it largely runs itself and requires very little hands-on management.

Cons

It would be really helpful if I could add parts on the fly while I'm working on equipment. Whenever I end up replacing an item that's not listed in the parts inventory, I want the option to add it directly from the work order so the parts list updates automatically without extra steps.

Good for tasks with confusing graphs

Pros

Functionally, I find it excellent for tracking maintenance and assigning tasks across our team. The work order module simplifies handing out jobs to staff.

Cons

interface could be more user-friendly now. I wish I could easily print reports directly for open or pending items. The graphs are confusing and difficult to interpret , they should be simplified so they're easier to understand.

Saves me time across locations

Pros

I've set up maintenance templates once and can roll them out across all our sites , we have five companies operating similar equipment in the US and Canada, so it really cuts down the time I spend on repetitive setup.

Cons

Dealing with the Silverlight problems was really frustrating for me at first but the most recent version finally fixed those issues.

Worth every penny!

Pros

For our team the value proposition feels significantly stronger than other options we evaluated. Their customer service has been phenomenal, some of the best support I've seen while evaluating software solutions.

My team learned fast

Pros

Setting this system up ended up being unexpectedly simple and my team learned it quickly without requiring a lot of training.

Cons

I'd like to see statements automatically added to every work order for QA and the round-the-clock tech support definitely needs some noticeable improvement.

Calendar and tasks with a closing lock

Simple tasks

Pros

With this system, I'm able to neatly organize all of my daily tasks for running and overseeing our whole facility without issue.

Cons

its easy to pick up and simple to train my team on, but I really wish it offered broader functionality and more advanced features to support our workflows and needs.

Good training but tickets locked

Pros

I found the on-site training extremely effective and Mel was truly outstanding throughout the entire experience.

Cons

After I close a work ticket, there's no option to reopen it which has been pretty aggravating for me. I also want the ability to log maintenance hours by exact dates (for example 5/25/18 for 1.0 hours), but that kind of flexibility isn't available.

Support that really fixes things

Pros

Support staff gets back to me fast and actually resolves issues instead of offering canned replies. They spend the time to explain what went wrong and guide me step-by-step through the repair which I appreciate. Whenever problems arise, they don't just slap on a fix , they dig into the root cause and deliver reliable solutions.

Cons

I honestly can't think of any drawbacks , it does exactly what I need without issues.

Strong reports!

Pros

love the reporting capabilities, they feel rock-solid and the query engine handles whatever I throw at it with ease.
