Continuously improving platform

Pros

From the moment we began using this tool, I've watched it grow and improve. It's far from flawless, yet I appreciate knowing that whenever I flag an issue, it'll typically be addressed and fixed in time.

Cons

because the application is highly configurable and quite intricate, requested upgrades or tweaks can often take longer than I'd like to see completed.

Mobile access to records

Pros

I really like how simple the system is and that I can reach it from my phone or tablet. When I'm away from the shop and a customer calls asking for an update, I can pull up their record in real time and tell them exactly what's going on. For customers who log into the portal, it also lets them view the current status of their repairs and dig into past repair history which saves time for both them and me.

Cons

Initially I hated that I had to go through selecting and clicking 'order parts' multiple times, the process felt clunky. Thankfully they added a single button so now I can place the order with one click and it's finished instantly which makes the workflow much smoother.

Anywhere shop monitoring

Pros

I really appreciate how user-friendly it is. My customers are able to track the status of their unit, my technicians can pull up repair orders and jot down their notes from any device and from anywhere and I can keep an eye on what's going on without needing to be at the shop every single minute of the day. It truly simplifies my life.

Cons

Sometimes I notice updates that don't actually help or introduce changes that don't benefit my business.

End-to-end job tracking

Pros

this program lets me follow a job from beginning to end and that visibility keeps both my shop and our customers satisfied!

Cons

It can feel a bit overwhelming when I first start using it and I needed some time to get comfortable with all of its features.

Easy estimates and communication

Pros

Overall it's very easy to use. I can track technician billed hours without hassle. Sending estimates through email is extremely easy. Keeping in contact with my customers is also very simple. The customers really like having a portal they can access to review their repair history and past work.

Cons

I found the parts section a little tricky to navigate at first. It becomes easier as time passes but that area still feels like the most difficult part of the system.

Increased Our Shop Efficiency 30%

Pros

Transitioning to a paperless system in the shop was seamless with Fullbay. Efficiency skyrocketed by 30%, and it's continually improving. The built-in timeline streamlines shop operations, enhancing efficiency across different areas. Plus, our customers love the customer portal, which aligns with modern technology trends. Thank you, Fullbay!

Cons

This software lacks a fleet summary cost/job report that we can provide to our large fleet customers. I rely on these fleet reports for billing fleets we work on daily with a single invoice on top of the report. Currently, I still need to use my old software to achieve this with my largest fleet.

Smooth paperless transition

Pros

For our shop, trying to go paperless for the first time was surprisingly easy and smooth. The system was so simple that we were fully operational almost immediately and honestly I wish we had switched earlier once I saw how easy the transition was. Our efficiency jumped by about 30% and keeps getting better as we adapt. The integrated timeline really aligned how work moves through the shop, improving coordination between the front office, the technicians in the back and our mobile staff. On top of that, my customers are thrilled with their customer portal which feels like the future of service. Big thanks for this tool!

Cons

This program lacks a fleet summary cost-per-job report that I can give to our large fleet clients. I rely on those congreatated fleet reports to bill the fleets we service every day so I can issue a single invoice accompanied by the summary report. At the moment I still have to fall back on my old software to produce that combined billing report for our biggest fleet account.

Fullbay Review

Pros

Invoicing becomes simpler by allowing you to construct the invoice during the job, provided your techs can summarize the work adequately.

Cons

Customer service leaves much to be desired. While they answer the phone, they often can't assist with issues and escalate them to management, resulting in delays. Receiving parts can be challenging, and the process of ordering them through the system is cumbersome. Inventory management is lacking, especially when adding more of the same part later that was returned earlier.

Frustrating support and inventory

Pros

invoicing is much simpler because I can assemble the bill while the job's still underway, as long as the tech writes a great summary of the work they completed.

Cons

We've had terrible experiences with customer support, they pick up the phone but almost never resolve problems. Most of the time they just escalate the issue up to management and leave you waiting for a reply. Getting parts is a struggle, ordering them through the platform is a headache, the confirmation emails look like phishing attempts and you end up having to call to make sure the order actually went through. The inventory tracking is also a mess especially when I try to add more of an identical part after having returned it previously.

The "Best" heavy duty repair shop software on the market.

Pros

The founders and their team are fully committed to delivering top-notch software to heavy-duty diesel truck and trailer repair shops. Fullbay stands out with its features and functionality. It's a game-changer for businesses aiming to elevate their operations and customer experience. Personally, the ability to log in from anywhere and monitor my company's performance is invaluable to me.

Cons

If I had to mention something, it would be my desire for the reporting capabilities to be more comprehensive, but this is purely my opinion.

Powerful diesel shop platform

Pros

founders and their whole team are truly dedicated to delivering the absolute best software for heavy-duty diesel truck, trailer and reefer repair shops. Nothing else on the market comes close to matching the breadth of features and the depth of functionality this system offers. From the clean, simple layout to live invoicing and live job statistics that cover everything, technician performance, labor and parts profitability, it's all there. I also love the complete, step-by-step transparency on each repair that can be seen by everyone involved, including the customer. For shops that want to level up operations and noticeably improve the customer experience, this program is a real game-changer. What I value most personally is being able to log in at any time, from practically anywhere and instantly check how my business is doing.

Cons

Personally, my only real criticism is that I wish the reporting capabilities were more powerful and offered greater flexibility, custom metrics and exporting options, that's just my personal view so take it as feedback rather than a dealbreaker.

Fullbay has helped us see our business processes from a new perspective.

Pros

I value the live functionalities, starting from generating service requests to completing invoices. The reporting feature provides comprehensive insights, enabling us to pinpoint weaknesses and inefficiencies. The customer portal proves to be exceptionally valuable, and the preventive maintenance tracking is robust. All in all, we're highly content with Fullbay, and we have every intention of maintaining our usage of it.

Cons

Some customers aren't fond of the portal, so we have to save each estimate, SO, and invoice as a PDF and email it to them. The parts and inventory system experiences some glitches when transferring parts across divisions. Fullbay doesn't fully support scheduling and tracking service calls yet, and sorting daily service types and calls is challenging (though we anticipate improvements). However, I believe these "cons" will soon be addressed, and we're looking forward to new releases and functionalities.

Advanced productivity insights

Pros

Honestly I'm really impressed by how cutting-edge the platform is, it embraces current technologies. It also boosts productivity because our technicians become more aware when their productivity is tracked. The system is powerful, invoices can be sent instantly and it produces a wealth of metrics. It keeps getting better with routine enhancements and support feels great, the CRM is active and well maintained.

Cons

I haven't found any drawbacks.

Nothing gets missed anymore! Every part has a home, every repair has it's place!

Pros

It's effortless to track equipment status, and billing is always prioritized. We can access the software from anywhere, even during vacations, to stay updated. Technicians are more engaged in monitoring their performance, and customers appreciate the convenience of the customer portal. It's a win-win for everyone, plus no more messy paper repair orders!

Cons

Inventory - I wish we could reconcile more than one page at a time. Receiving customer payments - It would be helpful to have the submit button at the top! Returned parts - when entering multiple returns for a single vendor, they export to QuickBooks as multiple entries for a single credit memo. If entered at one time in FullBay, it would be preferable to export to QuickBooks as one entry. Additionally, having the ability to enter a credit memo date would be beneficial.

Clear equipment visibility

Pros

One of the best things for me is how simple it is to see what's happening with every single piece of equipment and billing never gets overlooked, it sits front and center so we can take care of it. I can sign into the program from anywhere, even when I'm on vacation, to peek at what's going on. Our techs are starting to monitor their own metrics and push themselves to do better. Plus, most of our customers appreciate having their own portal to log into. Honestly it's worked out great for everyone involved and I'm thrilled we don't have paper repair orders anymore that end up dirty, greasy and smudged.

Cons

A few things I'd like improved, inventory reconciliation, I wish I could reconcile more than one page at a time so it isn't such a chore. For receiving customer payments, I'd prefer the submit button to appear at the top of the screen. When I'm entering multiple returned parts for a single vendor, they currently export into QuickBooks as separate line items instead of being combined into one credit memo, if I enter them all at once in this tool, I'd like them to export as a single entry. It would also be helpful to be able to set a Credit Memo date.
