Honestly a great option, not just for heavy duty / diesel repair shops
Pros

This software benefits from being cloud-based, allowing integration with tablets and budget-friendly Chromebooks. It's amazingly easy to use, though slightly slower than a locally installed option. Multi-tiered pricing is crucial and works seamlessly here. You can also bulk upload inventory, handling up to 15,000 lines at a time.

Cons

It's not as fast as locally-installed options, particularly during initial setup and integration. Personally, I believe the benefits of having it cloud-based outweigh the lag, but that's just my opinion.

Fullbay Has it All
Pros

I liked how the software tracks non-inventory parts by applying them directly to invoices. Returned items are also trackable, showing when a part was sent back and credited, which is very helpful for managing cores and other returns.

Cons

I struggled with the inventory feature of this program. I can see its potential, but it didn't suit our extensive inventory.

Great Product to run your Shop from small to large companies
Pros

I like that this software is direct to use. Easy setup and excellent support.

Cons

I don't have many cons to mention, but I wish there were more integrated parts ordering options, like partstech.com or fleetpride. However, most shops in this industry still prefer phone orders over online ordering.

Great Product
Pros

The system has enabled our company to shorten the timeframe for invoicing customers. It has also made us more efficient when ordering parts, keeping technicians in their bays instead of at the parts counter.

Cons

I wish there were more editing options. We had one issue where a counter sale didn't transfer to QuickBooks, causing a discrepancy, even though it showed as exported.

Fullbay was solution we needed
Pros

Fullbay has many great features and has continued to improve since we adopted it in 2016. I think the best aspects are its relative ease of use and the available tutorials. I particularly like the inventory module, which has helped us streamline our parts processes. More and more customers are using the portal, which holds a lot of promise for the future.

Cons

I don't have any major complaints about Fullbay. We've had a few glitches with the interface with our accounting software, but these issues are usually resolved quickly. My personal issue is the rapid evolution of the product, which has left me playing catch-up sometimes. But, the excellent tutorials usually help me get back on track.

Pros

It offers many features, more than we use, so we have room to grow. Constant improvements and upgrades are made as needed. Tech support is excellent!! I can't stress this enough. They answer every time we call, are based in the USA, easy to communicate with, pleasant, and knowledgeable about the software.

Cons

The reporting function could use some improvement. We are accustomed to QuickBooks reporting, so Fullbay seems limited in comparison. Accessing parts and inventory takes too long each time.

Pros

The ability to shift invoice creation away from paper work orders to field techs entering their input directly, without needing to interpret what they meant. The learning curve for techs was short and easy, even for our most tech-challenged mechanics. We wouldn't be where we are today without Fullbay.

Cons

Great software that makes my job easier.
Pros

I like that it tracks all customer repairs and maintenance. It's easy to track invoices, whether paid or not. The biggest advantage for me is that Fullbay is tailored to the heavy-duty diesel industry. When I started this business, I spent a lot of time trying different software, and none matched what I was used to at dealerships until I discovered Fullbay. I couldn't give them my money fast enough. I will continue using this software and highly recommend it to any business, big or small.

Pros

I liked that it is web-based and can integrate with other software in addition to tracking time, inventory, and various reports.

Cons

Too expensive. Fullbay wanted to charge a lot of money to start and then more to transfer my old data from our previous program, which did 80% of what Fullbay does without monthly costs or fees. It feels like you get nickel and dimed with this software, paying to add users and for every addition, resulting in a high monthly bill compared to our other program, which cost less than $1000 for multiple computers.

Software that will get your company organized
Pros

Fullbay is effective for managing inventory, handling and recording bills, generating customer invoices, and building a custom database for your company. I started using Fullbay after the company had been using it as a primary system for about two years and was immediately impressed by the extensive database of customer info, units, and vendor info. Since everything entered into the system is remembered and organized, it's easy to search for a customer, trailer, truck, bill, or vendor and find the information you need.

Cons

The interface can be a bit overwhelming at first, with lots of different menus, but they all serve a necessary function. Also, you're dependent on an internet connection. While this works well when you have reliable internet and the cloud functionality is useful for real-time tracking, if your connection is slow or unreliable, you may need to refresh the browser app multiple times to get it to load. A standalone phone app that could run offline and sync when reconnected would likely solve this issue.
