“MC better than Maximo? I think so!”
Pros
I first encountered Maintenance Connection in 2007, which feels like eons ago in the realm of software development. It was solid back then, but since then, it's evolved into the top-rated CMMS software on Gartner's Magic Quadrant. What's the secret to its success? In my view, it's the rapid deployment of a mobile solution and well-executed integrations with other systems, especially ERPs. The true power of Maintenance Connection (MC) shines when you can take it on the go and integrate it seamlessly with your other software solutions. Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) is also a significant factor, and I believe MC offers good value.
Cons
At my previous company, we often faced compatibility issues with different browsers and their updates. Since moving on, I'm unsure if they've allocated additional resources to minimize these bugs. If you're considering this software, it's worth asking about.

“Heavy User”
Pros
This software is robust with extensive reporting capabilities.
Cons
We've encountered random bugs in the past that resulted in the loss of actual work hours for work orders. Recovering the data required a full database rollback, which could potentially cause more harm to our system.

Pros
The simplicity and functionality of the software are commendable.
Cons
We use the tool to email our maintenance team when a service request is issued and assigned. However, this function sometimes runs several minutes to hours behind, especially during peak times like Mondays or the beginning of the month.

“Software Review”
Pros
As someone who has used various CMMS since 1985, I can attest that Maintenance Connection excels in its reporting capabilities. No other program offers such comprehensive options. As a seasoned user, I can confidently say that the reporting function provides every tool needed to track documentation meticulously and generate reports for stakeholders.
Cons
I've been disappointed with the MC University training program. It doesn't adequately reflect real-world usage scenarios, unlike my 12 years of experience using the program.

Pros
It fulfills our needs perfectly. Great for managing both PM and corrective work orders, as well as efficiently handling inventory management and costing.
Cons
Reporting functionality isn't intuitive; it's challenging for anyone to filter and generate reports easily. Only one person in our team is proficient with this, which is a significant drawback in my opinion.
