“Outlook integration is useless”
Pros
It was meant to work with desktop Outlook and it actually did for a few months before it suddenly stopped.
Cons
Now it barely works at all, keeps interfering with Outlook and has to be restarted constantly. It doesn't retain any data and even after being in touch with support for a month, nothing has been resolved. I paid for this product and at this point it feels completely useless.

“Branding and tracking are fantastic”
Pros
Having separate templates for different kinds of communications has been a huge plus. I can customize everything and add branding so each message looks consistent, polished and official. Another feature I really appreciate is the tracking in ContactMonkey,it lets me see opens and sent emails which makes it much easier to understand how people are responding to my communications.
Cons
One thing that really bothers me is that if I log into another email account, it starts tracking that account too. For instance, if I check my personal email during lunch, I have to use an incognito window so it doesn't track that account as well. I'd much rather see it set up with account-by-account permissions instead of automatically accessing any email I sign into.

“So good”
Pros
Contact Monkey handled exactly what I needed and it was quick to pick up and use. It's also a popular choice among my friends and acquaintances who manage mailing lists, tracking and similar tasks.
Cons
Honestly I don't have any complaints. The only reason I stopped using it was because I needed to put my attention on my paying job instead of my side passion.

“office365 mail merge done right”
Pros
After looking for a mail merge and email tracking tool with open and link click tracking that worked directly with Office365, this one checked every box. Installation was simple, it performed exactly as advertised and the reports are clean, polished and simple to follow. The support team was very helpful, the videos were well done and the low price made it an even better value.
Cons
There was nothing I disliked about it. It delivered exactly what it promised and worked flawlessly.

“unreliable tracking and incomplete data”
Pros
It does offer open and click tracking which is useful when it actually works.
Cons
Some days the platform functions and other days it seems to do nothing at all. Also, when you request the raw data, it comes back incomplete.

“support disappears when you need it”
Pros
A few times it actually worked, it handled the job the way it was supposed to.
Cons
Once it stopped working, getting help was practically impossible, even after paying for a yearly subscription.

“Easy data access”
Pros
Having it available gives me useful business-related information that really helps simplify things. I'm not naturally sales-focused so I especially appreciate being able to access the data I need when I need it.
Cons
I'm still unsure how to move it from one computer to another.

“Templates are great”
Pros
Something that really stands out is its polished built-in HTML templates and the visibility it gives into email activity is incredibly helpful.
Cons
We ran into a few hiccups getting our email server not to block images in HTML emails but that had more to do with our own internal setup than with the tool itself.

“amazing experience”
Pros
What I really appreciate about it is being able to see who actually receives and opens my emails without the recipient being alerted, unlike another read-receipt tool that comes to mind.
Cons
It doesn't work for absolutely every recipient, only most of them, around 98% in my case. Every once in a while, I run into a corporate server that seems completely unaffected by the return-receipt notification. That said, when a company is that large, it's usually pretty simple to work around it by sending a fax instead.

“accurate alerts with outlook lag”
Pros
Getting started with this product is pretty simple. It appears to be fairly accurate because when I receive a notification that an email was opened, a reply often follows shortly after. It basically delivers on what it promises.
Cons
An issue I've noticed is that it can slow down Microsoft Outlook while syncing with 365. It also seems to over-report opens from time to time and it will not mark an email as opened if the recipient only views it in Outlook preview.

“Excellent!”
Pros
Sending weekly or monthly bulk emails is much more manageable with this especially since I can track whether recipients opened the message, viewed attachments or clicked on hyperlinks.
Cons
One thing that happens occasionally is that when Outlook first opens, I have to manually prompt it to go to the "get started" page and I still can't tell whether any emails were just deleted.

“time-saving email tracking”
Pros
Contact Monkey keeps things very simple and mostly stays in the background during my day-to-day work. That simplicity doesn't take away from its value at all though because it's been essential for saving me hours with email tracking and logging.
Cons
At times, getting an email logged through the Outlook sidebar takes a few extra clicks than it probably should.

“I liked the design”
Pros
Its accuracy is a big plus and it's handy because it gives the information I need when I need it. The software is also user-friendly which makes it pleasant to work with overall.
Cons
At times it gets stuck in the middle of using it so I end up restarting Outlook several times. It would also be much more helpful if the graphs included more detailed information.

“Billing is a hassle”
Pros
Having access to analytics, including visibility into when emails get opened and which links are clicked, is really useful. It also helps to see a receptivity measure for email campaigns or even for individual recipients.
Cons
It annoys me that it doesn't automatically sends an email receipt when the subscription renews. It should. That way, it would be available for my records right away instead of needing to contact customer service to request it.

“we rely on it”
Pros
Being able to track who opened my emails, when they opened them and who still hasn't is incredibly useful. I also appreciate seeing which subject lines have performed best over time. That helps me keep using the ones that get the most opens and stop relying on the subject lines that aren't getting much attention.
Cons
Honestly there's not much I dislike. The only part I rarely check is the all-time email device data. I don't really care what device people are using to open my emails,I'm mostly focused on whether they open them at all.

“helpful email tracking tools”
Pros
Something I really appreciate is being able to check whether people are engaging with the messages I send. The Outlook plugin is also a nice addition and having my account information available right there makes things very convenient.
Cons
I'd really love to see a daily report emailed to me with my open rates and click data because that would be extremely useful. I'd also say that if you already use Salesforce, you'll probably end up relying on this mostly for email analytics since Salesforce already covers the account-related side inside the Outlook add-in.

“Decent experience”
Pros
One of the most useful parts is being able to see when customers open my emails and how many times they come back to them. It's especially interesting when an email gets reopened even a year later. That kind of visibility gives me really valuable insight.
Cons
It kind of crashes once in a while and then I have to restart it.

“so good”
Pros
Seeing exactly when my emails are opened is one of the best parts. It lets me check who viewed them and how many times which is really useful.
Cons
There were a few times over the past year when it stopped working. Once you get used to having visibility into opened emails, it's hard to manage without it.

“useful reporting for campaign tracking”
Pros
The custom reports page has been really valuable for monitoring email campaigns and open rates and it also helps us see exactly when clients are viewing our product.
Cons
Honestly there haven't been many issues. The initial setup was a little challenging but the team was very helpful with guidance and walked us through everything step by step.

“easy tracking and followups”
Pros
Keeping track of relationships is much simpler with it and being able to see who opens my emails is really useful. It has also made follow-ups a lot more manageable and the mail merge feature is easier to work with too.
Cons
Does have a bit of a learning curve although that is pretty normal with any new platform. The window pane on the right can also be annoying when using a small laptop screen.
