“Overall good experience”

Pros

Turning complex security concepts into clear, collaborative visual models is where this really shines. The range of diagram options makes everything much easier to understand and discuss with others.

Cons

It feels like a modern, fairly priced tool for diagramming and brainstorming and honestly I can't get enough of it.

“fantastic for IT diagrams”

Pros

Really simple for building network diagrams, server layouts and just about anything related to IT. The support is also excellent and it's usually quick to find answers whenever questions come up.

Cons

There are a huge number of cloud provider stencils available which can make it a bit overwhelming when trying to track down the exact one you need.

“user friendly!!”

Pros

Good one! It has been a pleasure to use because it feels user friendly and flexible and the visual layout makes it simple to build professional swimlane charts and diagrams that really improve the overall quality of my presentations.

Cons

Once a diagram starts getting crowded with multiple elements, it becomes frustrating that there isn't a simple way to select everything together and apply one change across the entire diagram at once.

“my flowcharting favorite”

Pros

Among tools in this category, LVCS has been the best option I've used for flowcharting. It comes with a huge library of shapes and icons which makes it useful for a wide range of needs, including mapping out customer journey flows.

Cons

Honestly I don't have any complaints about LVCS. It's been very simple to work with and gives plenty of flexible options for building flows.

“quick charts with lots of options”

Pros

Lucidchart keeps things simple which is something I really enjoy. It also comes with a wide range of diagram templates, shapes and connectors so I can put together organizational charts in just a few minutes.

Cons

I feel if they have more precise control over text size inside a text box it would be great.. since that's something I end up struggling with pretty often.

“smart diagrams with AI help”

Pros

Creating diagrams feels very simple thanks to the drag-and-drop editor and the ready-made templates. The part I appreciate most is the AI feature since it cuts down a considerable amount of work and I'm really glad it's included.

Cons

A few useful features, such as the full document revision history, are restricted and only available on the premium plans.

“collaborative templates are great!”

Pros

It has been an excellent diagramming platform for our team. The template library is efficient and having multiple people able to work on the same file at once makes our flowchart sessions much more productive and effective.

Cons

So it took several prompts before it finally generated the exact design I was aiming for with its AI.. but all good

“user friendly charts in minutes”

Pros

Using it felt very natural right away and it honestly took away a big time hurdle for me. Within just a few minutes, I had put together a chart that was both useful and visually appealing.

Cons

There are a lot of buttons in the toolbar and because they're shown only as icons, you need to hover over each one to figure out what it does. That can come across as a little overwhelming for beginners or anyone who isn't very comfortable with technology.

“All in one place”

Pros

Having everyone contribute on a diagram, whiteboard or workflow in the same space is really valuable. It makes it simple for collaborators to share ideas and keeps all the feedback organized in one place.

Cons

One downside is that the shortcuts are not very obvious and can be hard to understand. Getting around the platform can also feel a little outdated especially for someone using it for the first time.

“Teamwork made easy”

Pros

Getting started with it feels very simple and it works really well for putting together quick flowcharts, network diagrams and collaborative team work since people can leave comments on diagrams for async feedback.

Cons

The AI didn't produce the result I was expecting on the first try although after a few attempts it was able to generate what I needed.

Being able to visually map workflows and processes has been really helpful and the structured templates and shapes make it simple to lay out communication channel procedures for our organization.

Cons

It has been a reliable and effective tool for diagramming and process mapping and I haven't run into any major issues with the overall experience.

“5 star experience”

Pros

LVCS comes with ready-made templates for system architecture, flowcharts and ER diagrams which saves a lot of time. It's also really useful that several team members can work on the same diagram at once and make edits simultaneously.

Cons

The selection of icons and shapes is somewhat limited unless you move up to one of the paid plans though that's pretty understandable.

“Amazing collaboration for org charts”

Pros

Feels very user friendly to use and the collaborative features make visual idea organization much easier. It also lets me map our organization's reporting lines quickly and clearly.

Cons

When diagrams get larger, it can start to feel a bit heavy to work with especially if the workspace is packed with a lot of elements.

“accurate diagrams and user friendly flow”

Pros

Typing a prompt is often enough to get highly accurate AI-generated diagrams and the user friendly workspace makes it really natural to get into a flow state while building flowcharts.

Cons

One thing I've noticed is that the selection of custom stencils for cloud providers is still a bit limited so having more of those available would be really helpful.

“versatile diagrams for every need”

Pros

Whether I need a quick visual to explain something or a detailed technical architecture diagram, it handles both really well. It comes with a wide range of shapes, arrows and icons which makes it flexible enough for all kinds of diagramming.

Cons

An issue I've noticed is that it starts to lag a bit once the diagram gets more complex.

“clear flowcharts and handy exports”

Pros

Putting together flowcharts in it was genuinely enjoyable because the features and tools are simple to understand which makes it simple to build process workflows that are clear and easy to follow. It's also really helpful that diagrams can be exported in PDF, PNG and vector image formats.

Cons

The free version feels a bit limiting since after creating 3 diagrams, you have to delete one before you can make another.

“user friendly diagrams and teamwork”

Pros

User-friendly interface lets me put together diagrams quickly and the real-time collaboration tools make it simple to work with colleagues live while helping everyone understand requirements better through shared diagrams.

Cons

Biggest downside is the price but aside from that, creating, editing and sharing diagrams is very simple.

“fantastic for team visualization”

Pros

It has been a really positive experience because it's very user-friendly. The visualization tools work especially well for our call flow which has helped us build a better experience for our customers. Getting everything set up was simple and it's been just as simple to share with the team and use together. It also gave us more functionality and helped us work through some of the more complicated parts of our call flows. Overall, it makes collaboration and visualizing the new design we're aiming for very simple.

Cons

I honestly haven't run into any major problems or anything that really needs improvement in Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite. If I had to suggest one thing, it would be adding a mobile app for Lucid flowchart to make it more accessible. It would be even better if the app had a clean visual layout and was just as simple to navigate as the browser version.
