easy control over onboarding

Pros

I really love how it gives me full control over my onboarding content, release notes and knowledge base outside of the application. It lets me update things at my own pace which is awesome since I can move as fast or slow as I want, depending on my needs.

Cons

I have to say that for a small business, the onboarding cost can be a bit high but its definitely worth it.

Simple product and easy communication

Pros

What I enjoy about it is how easy it is to create product tours and communicate about new features. The best part is that I can add those tours to the check-list which just makes everything even better!

Cons

So far so good. I don't have any negative comments about it.

best tool for user experience

Pros

it is such an amazing tool for companies that want to improve the user experience during software adoption or even to maintain strong relationships later with modals, announcements and in-app messages. Setting it up was super simple even though it required accessing some code. After that though...I hardly needed any developer help. Most things are visual and easy to handle like recording your steps and writing balloon text.

Cons

big downside for me is the analytics. Right now, there aren't many metrics available and the visualization options are limited. At least you can download the CSV to do a more manual analysis. Also the native integrations are still limited and only a few events are tracked so far.

Pros

This is just crazy! In less than 30 seconds, I can show my users exactly how my product works! the team behind it is so talented and helpful, they are always available if I need anything and their customer service is top-notch.

Cons

they don't have a live chat option on their website but the team responds quickly via email and works hard to resolve issues as fast as they can.

solid choice for novice users

Pros

we use it to train new users and the product tours are great. But the hotspots and tooltips for new features and updates are what really made a difference. With hotspots, we could really get the word out about our new features. Plus the integrations with Segment and Intercom have given us amazing insights into our customers and their journeys.

Cons

Even though we could integrate some of the tools we use with it, I was disappointed when I saw that theres no integration with Heap yet. It would really help us dig deeper into user actions during onboarding and see how it is affecting their journey. Hopefully, this integration will be available soon.

Easy-to-build onboarding workflows

Pros

I love how I can create an onboarding workflow using different engagement methods like steps, confirmations and checklists. But the best part is how I could build out the whole workflow without writing a single line of code! I just added a Chrome extension and tested it live on my site. As a product manager, this tool is perfect for creating and testing different onboarding flows with my team before we go live.

Cons

there's a lot to explore and it can feel a little overwhelming at first. They offer great support and documentation but this is the kind of software you really need to dive into. Once I did that, all the cool features became clear.

no code walkthroughs

Pros

we were about to create an in-house onboarding solution when we discovered it. It let us build a beautiful product walkthrough in minutes, all without any code. Fewer support tickets, more trial conversions and happy product managers...what more could we ask for?

Cons

analytics are probably enough for most teams but we needed a bit more control over the data which led us to use another tool for that.

powerful solution

Pros

Its a powerful tool for adding onboarding to your browser-based app or website. We needed something more customizable than other options like Intercom and it lets us adjust the look and feel of the onboarding product tour making it blend seamlessly with our app. Plus it lets us customize tooltips with more than just pictures or videos and we can adjust the size of modals and pop-ups for a finer level of control.

Cons

Adjusting settings and the overall look and feel can be a little bit cumbersome. The preview of a step in a guide looks different from the version that actually gets rendered so you end up swapping back and forth between the two views. It'd also be nice to control where some elements appear, like the location of the tooltip or where the quit icon (X) is placed within a tooltip or modal. Another feature I'd love is the ability to control when a guide starts, for example,having it start 30 seconds after landing on the page or triggering it based on elements from previous screens. We had to do some workarounds to trigger the guide after our welcome screen which uses the same URL as the landing page.

great usability but tricky implementation

Pros

overall usability and adaptability of the software is great. You can customize it to suit your needs and the UX is really nice.

Cons

Some of the implementation was tricky due to our lack of technical knowledge but the awesome customer service team made it so much easier. they are always ready to help!

Pros

As a digital marketer with no coding experience, it makes it super easy for me to create and use onboarding flows. I used to juggle multiple tools to segment my users based on their needs, behaviors and locations. Now with it, I have an all-in-one tool to segment my customers properly. Plus using NPS surveys, I can easily gather feedback from customers and leads to improve our product and experience.

awsome customer support

Pros

best thing about it is how user-friendly it is. It's easy to use with GTM and any changes I make on the site have an immediate effect which is super helpful for improving and maintaining things. The user interface is great and I can't forget to mention how helpful the support team is..they are always there when I need them.

Cons

I have not found any cons about this software. almost everything is perfect! and when I had an issue with custom configurations, the staff immediately jumped in to fix it.
